TravelRe: Canada Visit/tourist Visa Discussion. by pearlobi: 1:43am On Jul 10, 2021
Hi everyone I need some advice pls.

I am a PR in Canada. My youngest sister who is 21, just finished University last month, her results are not out yet. I want to apply for a visitors visa for her, but I'm worried that she may be denied for lack of ties to Nigeria since she has finished school and has no job. Pls has anyone been in the shoes before. Do you think her visa will be approved? She has UK and Dubai travel history and one denial from the UK last year.

I welcome any advice pls.

Anyone here waiting for the Pandemic to be over so they can get on with their relocation plans?

I'm tired, frustrated and sad. We were supposed to leave on the 28th of March. Copr will expire in July. This journey has been on our mind since 2018! And now that we were ready to move, we're stuck. I feel trapped.

I've resigned from work, my husband has sold his business and machines, we've even cleared out our apartment and now I don't know when we'll leave again.
I'm just so sick and tired of worrying and wishing to leave Nigeria. Sorry, just needed to vent

Please I need answers from Seniors here. I have an Uncle who has no certificate, he didn't have a formal education, but he is literate. His wife has a BSc in Marketing. She'll be 31 this year.

They really want to migrate. His wife will be the primary applicant. I want to know if he'll be required to submit educational details or if his wife's own is enough.

The senior ladies here, I'm curious...please what hairstyle did you make before relocating. I don't know what to do to my hair. I have a couple of wigs, but I get sick of wigs easily. Don't know if to braid for now. Please advice. We move by next month.

NubianQueen87:
I paid N11280 courier for each applicant's passport, N760 SMS charge and N8190 passport transmission for my baby (since she didn't do biometrics).

Make photocopies of your passport page(s), bring 2passport photographs (same requirements as the one you submitted post ITA) and 2copies of your PPR mail.

Come with cash, or you can withdraw at Sterling Bank ATM there.
Thank you

Its PPR guys. I'm a silent member here but this news is too good not to share.

AOR – September 2nd 2019

Decision to travel
As single persons, my husband and I have always had it in mind to relocate however we had not made moves to actually leave. We got married in 2017 and planned to write IELTS same year but got side-tracked with life. In 2018, we got pregnant and planned to deliver in the US. That didn’t work out because we were denied the visa. It really hurt me so I wasn’t in the mood to hear anything about the abroad at that time. Anyway Nigeria kept happening to us and we decided that come 2019 we would start the plans to relocate.
WES for Primary Applicant – January didn’t come out till April
WES for Spouse- Applied April received it in June. At the time I applied for WES we didn’t know my husband needed to do same, we found out when we were trying to create our profile and had to pause till his own came out.
1st IELTS – MOD March 3rd LRSW 8.5, 7.5, 8.5, 6.5 I applied for a remark because well, I was feeling confident it came back unchanged. Still hurts till today.
2nd IELTS – MOD May. God came through for me. I developed a running stomach the minute I got to the exam venue. I lost vital time using the toilet during Reading and Writing. Anyway, LRSW 8.5, 7.5, 8 and 7.
POF- Gift deed. 50% from my mum and 50% from my Husband.

This process is one of the longest, loneliest and most humbling thing I have ever embarked on. Long; because its so uncertain, all you can do is wait. You have money and valid needs, but everything pales in comparison to the Canada immigration plan. And then waiting for the ‘Golden Email’; my God, this one made me weak. Especially when people around us, with AORs later than ours had received theirs already.
This process is also incredibly lonely, especially when you have family members and friends who are chairpersons in the ‘Naija for Life’ club and who really want you to make Nigeria work.
However God is too good. We found solace in reading Scriptures daily.

My advice for this whole process is prayer and being persistent. Persistent by not letting those IRCC agents sleep on your application We called like 6 or more times. We were calling every week from the 20th of Jan when they told us our Eligibility had been passed and that all that was left was Security. The day we don't connect we'll send a webform asking for update. The reply was always the same generic response but i'm sure they were tired of us. We also ordered GCMS notes twice, In November and 2 days ago.

If this is what you want, pray for every step with faith. From time of ITA till date God really showed himself for us. Pray and keep praying. We are catholics, beginning of this Year, when families with AOR later than us had received theirs in december we booked mass for 3 months with our intentions. Then we said a couple of Novenas;
- The 9 hour Infant Jesus Novena and the Memorare
- Novena to St Rita of impossible causes and
- I also joined the ongoing Hallelujah challenge.
Ah, this one is for you God. I pray that all of us on this thread seeking one thing or the other will have our heart desires met through Christ our Lord Amen.

I only evaluated my LLM.
quote author=Crieff post=84875330]On this LLB issue, is it sufficient to submit my LLM (UK) degree only for evaluation with WES or must I submit my LLB too?[/quote]

Hi guys.
Pls I saw some post about my question in past sections, but I can't find it again. That's why I'm posting this now.

It's about my proof of funds. My husband provided half and we got half from my mum. We have a gift deed from mum, but my husband is insisting that we need to a letter of irrevocable gift from him to cover his contribution.

Pls can someone help with a format for a letter to show my husband's contribution

mamaron:
Steps to take are in page 0. Copied from page 0!!!

Tips For Giving Birth in the USA

1. Apply for a B1/B2 Medical visa, go with evidence to show that you have a hospital, doctor and funds to cover accommodation, medical treatment and any other incidences. (This is popularly referred to as burden of proof on this thread).

2. Be honest during the visa interview about your intention to give birth in US.

For your specific case B2 is the same category for vacation and medical. No worries there if that's what you chose. They usually give B1/B2 anyway.

Find and choose a doctor and hospital and have evidence that they are ok to treat you....declare your intention at interview even if not asked.

I'm not sure 2million covers the cost of birth, accommodation etc. You or your husband need to have evidence of funds to cover your birth plan. Average I've seen here is between $15k and $20k. Avoid lump sum transfers and "sudden" deposits to your account.

Thank you. I'll start looking out for a Dr right away and maybe move the appointment till August.

Hello Everyone,
I need help pls. I only recently stumbled on this thread and realise that things are not as easy as I hoped it would be.
DH and I planned to go for our Honeymoon in June at LA. We started our application last week Monday and got an appointment date for May 17th same day. Problem now is 3 days after, I find out that i'm pregnant. It has always been our intention to give birth in the US, however we planned to conceive in August. We have now shelved the idea of honeymoon and want to work towards birth in the US.
Pls what steps do I take now. DH has about 2Mil in his account at the moment, so i'm worried that if we indicate pregnancy, they might refuse on the grounds that his funds are not on point. I don't earn so well, so i can't even contribute to the overall balance, however DH earns quite well.
Pls help.
