Culture › Insincerity Of The Black Race To Itself by Pearlyakin(op): 6:33pm On Oct 08, 2016
INSINCERITY OF THE BLACK RACE TO ITSELF It's funny how I'm yet to see hashtags like # IStandWithHaiti flying around on my timeline when Hurricane Matthew is currently ravaging the country and claiming lives in droves. Where are the people that changed their profile pictures to the National flag of France when terrorists attacked Paris? Where are the people that joined the # PrayForParis movement on social media then because most of you wanted to look 'up to date'? Where are the Nigerians that derive so much pleasure in standing with Trump or Clinton when the American general elections is clearly none of your business? What happened to the men of the Nigerian Army battling terrorism in the north? Aren't they worth you standing with them? Stand with Haiti or keep standing, alone.

Christianity Etc › Re: Teresa Mcbain; From 20 years as Christian Minister To Full Atheist, Her Story by Pearlyakin(m): 10:15am On Sep 13, 2016
xendra:
Truth is the highest percentage of atheists were Christians. and I believe the reason to be our misinterpretation of the gospel, or should I say misunderstanding of who God truly is and what he wants from us.
I've been reading some books by watchman nee and I have come to understand better some things about my faith that I didn't and it is such misunderstanding that sometimes make us start questioning whether God truly exist or even conclude that he doesn't.
if you humbly seek answers you will find.
Hello xendra,am glad you also know watchman nee,he is just like Apostle Paul,I need his books to help strengthened someone's faith.

will stay in touch, especially because this isn't real i just want to see how many
people actually read stuffs till the end, before they fall
for it by liking and congratulating you

Travel › A Nairalander Wants To Tour Brazil And Cuba by Pearlyakin(op): 6:26am On Aug 21, 2016
Good day my fellow nairalanders, i intend going to the republic of Brazil and Cuba.
I started a research in 2010,the reason behind this research is to know more about the Yoruba's that were transferred from southwest Nigeria to the new world to serve as indentured workers, during my course of this research i was able to discover many fascinating things about how the Yoruba culture survived in present day Cuba and Brazil respectively.
According to wikipedia https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cuba/, Most Afro-cubans are of Yoruba descent and they still maintain the culture, tradition and the heritage till today,
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lHRAPIwsS5I this link is a video on youtube about the duo from Cuba called "Ibeyi" singing about river in Yoruba language.
During my research,i was able to discover some spiritual practices in these two countries which are the "Lucumi" "Santeria" and the "Candomble" which are all of Yoruba origin, also i was able discover that there is website that cater for Afro-Brazilians to learn more about their ancestor's culture and tradition here in Nigeria http://nigeriabrazil.org/site/.
So my people,i will need your comments and suggestions about this project of mine thank you.
