Which promise? How many farmers do you have as friends? The country should go back to farming.
We use to farm as students in the 80s. Today the boys are more interested in fraud.
Let 30% of the adult population go back to farming.

Did Sunday Igboho order the killing of soldiers and police officers?

Politics / Re: Tinubu’s Fall During June 12 Celebration Heartbreaking – Shettima by pedel: 1:00am On Jul 01
Mention one policy of the current administration that is anti-people.
People die all over the world every day. Do you know that doctors are going on strike in the UK tomorrow?
It's crucial to think of ways to enhance the quality of your life. Remember, Nigeria will never be a place where unproductive people can thrive. It's up to us to make a difference.
Many of those complaining about hardship today are merely consumers, not contributors. It's time to reflect on our roles in society.
Don't get me wrong, I know that Nigeria is complex, but you have kleptomaniacs running the affairs of the country and the 36 states.
You all keep shouting about the president; what about your state governors?
Wake up. Sentiments and emotions won't change anything for you.

VTJN:
if you care know, lots of Nigerians are cursing the president on a daily basis. The president has made life difficult for an average Nigerians, some have died, some are at the verge of dying. All because of his reckless anti people policy. Even though we always say curses don't affect them but there will be life after death right? We all will give account of. Even though i know that what the guy said about Tinubu calling him drugs dealer is wrong. But trust me Nigerians are not happy with Tinubu. An hungry man is an angry man

No need to trace anyone. Everyone will eventually get what they deserve.
We have seen a senseless person who said many nasty things against the former VP. We know what happened to him.
MNK was saying all sorts of things against the former president. We know where Nnamdi Kanu and Buhari are now.

VTJN:
will you also trace over 220 millions Tinubu has improvished with his anti people policy?

“Similarly, EX PYTHON DANCE has been planned for the South East Region from 27 November – 27 December 2016. The prevalent security issues such as armed robbery, kidnapping, abduction, herdsmen-farmers clashes, communal clashes and violent secessionist attacks among others would be targeted. In this wise, the Exercise would be multi-agency in nature whereby the NA and other security agencies are expected to synergize and collaborate extensively.”

That's from Dailypost.

We can't trust you if you can't be honest about why the army came to your backyard.

Macphenson:

Good question. IPOB was running their campaign for self determination peacefully for years until Buhari unleashed his dogs. IPOB went underground and pick up arms, till date scores are counted on both the side of Nigerian army and IPOB.

Always do a root cause analysis of events. If you can't ask yourself ‘how did we get here?’ you may not be able to figure out the way out.

Sout East was relatively peaceful until the. "PYTHON DANCED".

Since then, there has been total breakdown of law and order.

Can you use this same principle to change Nigeria's economy or remove the president?

D4gmail1:
I am not religious, but it is 1000% possible for a breast to grow back not because it is a natural phenomenon but because ANYTHING YOU BELIEVE AND YOU CAN VISUALIZE IT AND FEEL LIKE IT HAS ALREADY HAPPENED. IT WILL DEFINETLY HAPPEN. This is a principle from Quantum Physics point of view.

She grew back her breast back only because she believed strongly in it.

If you doubt what I am saying. Take a glass of water and have someone drink it. Then prove to the person that the water was gotten from a latrine. If the person can believe beyond any reasonable doubt that it is a latrine water, watch how he will fall sick straight away. And yes, he will land in the hospital with a real sickness.

Conclusion: Your life is a printout of your thoughts. grin
Politics / Re: National Ranches Commission Establishment Bill Proposes Jail Term For Defaulters by pedel: 5:33pm On Jun 18
Why can't you explain what is wrong with Ruga?
What do you know about crisis management?
The herder/farmer crisis requires thinking outside the box.
The state governments were asked to provide land for anyone involved in cow rearing to rent ranches.
The politicians and the uninformed public kicked against the idea.
Those cows you see roaming around in the East, West, and South belongs to the rich class in those geolocation; they only employed the Fulanis to care for them.
Moreover, if you are afraid of the Fulanis taking over your state, its too late, because every towns and cities in Nigeria already have a location filled with the Hausas. That's where you change your currency.
If I were Buhari I would have issued an executive order and use the federal lands in every states for ranches. But he was afraid of loosing the second term.
The same subsidy removal that was politicized during Jonathan is in force now under Tinubu.
It's unfortunate when people like yourself with some education can't enlighten misguided people.
For your information I have 165 cows in Saki, Oyo state and they are being managed by an Hausa family. We have a fenced facility and sometimes they are taken outside to eat grass in a nearby public school.

MASTAkiLLAh:
your first few questions will make one doubt if you've been in Nigeria during the past eight years plus, your last paragraph is totally uncalled for but knowing your demographic, I don't blame you. I just want you to know that you have no monopoly over jam talking.
If you don't know what ruga entails in today's Nigeria then, I'm sorry for you. If you don't know the intricate details of why the Fulani who mostly aren't Nigerians want ruga by all means instead of using their own funds to rent or buy land then I'm also sorry for you. So dont come here sounding so sanctimonious with your high faluting airs , I am not interested in that. Those who know what I'm talking about have gotten the message, you're just canon fodder in the scheme of things
Politics / Re: National Ranches Commission Establishment Bill Proposes Jail Term For Defaulters by pedel: 2:44pm On Jun 16
What is wrong with RUGA? What is wrong with each state of the federation having expanses of land that anyone can rent from the government to raise their cow?
What is wrong with states that have borders with the Sambisa forest converting the same to grazing areas for anyone interested in animal farming?
The farmer-herder problem is a peculiar problem in Nigeria and should not be politicized.
An average Nigerian can not think independently but only follows what their religious leaders and politicians tell them.

MASTAkiLLAh:
"The bill, sponsored by Senator Titus Tartenger Zam of the APC from Benue North West, aims to establish ranches for herders in their states of origin..."

"If enacted, the National Ranches Commission would be responsible for managing, preserving, and controlling ranches nationwide..."

Why the contradiction ? Is it the states of origin of the herdsmen which majority of Nigerians especially the sane ones want or is it a style to bring Ruga through the backyard of ALL OVER NIGERIA ?

The tablet will kill the fungi from inside. Nizoral contains ketoconazole.

They are building roads because that is the only way they can conceal their stealing, by inflating the value of construction contracts.
They won't spend money on projects where they can't steal money.
Constructing Roads, Bridges, flyovers or overhead bridges, Airports, Parks etc is the only way they can fulfil their aims for which they sought the public office; EMBEZZLEMENT.
The former governor Aregbesola used the bailout money given to him in Osun State to build Moshood Abiola Airport around Ede. The whole project is bush today.
The current Osun governor has also started building roads and bridges.
It was in the news yesterday how he awarded over 11 billion naira construction project to a company that is not registered with the CAC.

89green:
Is this supposed to be news?
These are basic things similar roads should have, omo ds country sef.
They keep building roads year in year out instead concentrating on other stuffs like improving medical care, education and electricity, chai.
Oga let them divert to other stuffs as well, every governor is always building roads and abandoning other major aspects that also affect the lives of the masses.

If its the way they are building roads is same way they make education, electricity, health better, things go don better tay tay

Rich4god:
My problem with emefiele is not that money is missing. My problem with him is that as a southerner, why did he allow himself to be used by the cabal whom are mostly northerners to milk this country dry. As a CBN gov, he aided the last administration in milking this country and it's part of the reason our currency is crumbling cos there is no fund to maintain it. He should have stood his ground against the cabal. Now they all left him to bear the consequences alone.

If justice were to be served, all the top officials in the last administration, including the president should be in jail and the looted funds recovered from them.
Do you blame the ig of police when you get harassed by a police officer?
You focus on the person you have business with.
Emefiele is a member of the cabal. Nobody made him do anything.
He was part of the ruling elite.
When Dasuki was arrested and put in the dungeon, GEJ and others were not detained with him.
Being sentimental makes you sound very stupid.

Optimize Your Schedule: Identify peak times when demand is high, such as during rush hours, weekends, or special events. Focus your driving efforts during these times to maximize your earnings.
Target major events going on in your areas like music jams, church services, conventions etc

Choose Strategic Locations: Position yourself in areas with high demand, such as busy urban centers, airports, motor parks, or Big churches like Ibiyomes church. Monitoring Bolt's app for real-time demand can help you make informed decisions about where to drive.

well joe biden cleared up student loans maybe you need to read legit news sources to be more informed. Canada also did it.
You made a good point, but you are not exactly right.
Joe Biden didn't clear debts for people borrowing from banks and loan apps.
It was debt forgiveness for some people who took student loans from the US federal government.
The loans were paused since 2019 following covid. The only category of people that benefitted were the Teachers and Social workers.
In June 2023, the US Supreme Court stopped Joe Biden from offering further student loan forgiveness because he doesn't have power to do so.
I don't understand why anyone would expect the government to help them pay personal loans.
Student loans in the US are payable up to 5% of their discretionary income.
Thanks for your intelligent contribution to nairaland. Most people here are idiots.

Special court need to be created for armed robbers, kidnappers, bandits and bokoharam and their case should not last more than 3 months in court if they are found guilty they should be killed infront of their family house live on tv
The problem with that is the possibility of wrongful conviction. The Nigerian police will arrest innocent people and parade them as kidnappers.
Maybe death sentence may be signed after the case has gone to the Supreme Court and the accused is provided with legal representation.
Even in the USA people spent more than 48 years in prison for rape they didn't commit. Imagine what would happen in Naija.

Mr. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo is a strong believer of our principle in Nigeria: where man dey work, na for there him dey shop. The only problem is that he has been caught in the act.

But then, the minister has a good plan for his ministry. The reforms are commendable and the milestone achieved so far will collapse if he is sacked. For this, he needs to stay and finish what he started because he's doing a great job in his ministry.

This same mindset of yours has kept our country and continent from progressing like the rest of the world.
Tunji Ojo would have turned in his resignation if he were to be a minister in the United Kingdom.
We keep promoting the people who should be in prisons into positions of power in Nigeria.

Career / Re: Is This True About Salaries In The UK. by pedel: 2:32pm On Dec 18, 2023
PAYE and Corporations tax are not the same.
Your employer deducts taxes from your PAYE earnings.
You pay taxes on your company earnings after you deduct all your expenses.
You do not have control over your deductibles if you are working for someone and earning salaries.

InvertedHammer:

/
Taxation is not straightforward like that. While they tax, it is up to individual taxpayers to channel their funds or expenses in tax deductible ways to come out ahead. The way someone earning £125k moves with his money may make him pay less taxes overall than someone earning £51k. I am assuming UK tax system is similar to US tax system.
Generally if a bulk of the salary is coming from overtime work, the employee is screwed.
