Don’t declare war against the Nigerian state again. Nnamdi Kanu nearly led y’all to another slaughter. flipdat: |
They are building roads because that is the only way they can conceal their stealing, by inflating the value of construction contracts. They won't spend money on projects where they can't steal money. Constructing Roads, Bridges, flyovers or overhead bridges, Airports, Parks etc is the only way they can fulfil their aims for which they sought the public office; EMBEZZLEMENT. The former governor Aregbesola used the bailout money given to him in Osun State to build Moshood Abiola Airport around Ede. The whole project is bush today. The current Osun governor has also started building roads and bridges. It was in the news yesterday how he awarded over 11 billion naira construction project to a company that is not registered with the CAC. 89green: |
Rich4god:Do you blame the ig of police when you get harassed by a police officer? You focus on the person you have business with. Emefiele is a member of the cabal. Nobody made him do anything. He was part of the ruling elite. When Dasuki was arrested and put in the dungeon, GEJ and others were not detained with him. Being sentimental makes you sound very stupid. |
Optimize Your Schedule: Identify peak times when demand is high, such as during rush hours, weekends, or special events. Focus your driving efforts during these times to maximize your earnings. Target major events going on in your areas like music jams, church services, conventions etc Choose Strategic Locations: Position yourself in areas with high demand, such as busy urban centers, airports, motor parks, or Big churches like Ibiyomes church. Monitoring Bolt's app for real-time demand can help you make informed decisions about where to drive. |
mariahAngel:This sounds like the type of advice that keeps people in abusive relationships. You don't double down on something that is not working. It's only illiterate pastors that give people this kind of counsel. |
visaclick:You made a good point, but you are not exactly right. Joe Biden didn't clear debts for people borrowing from banks and loan apps. It was debt forgiveness for some people who took student loans from the US federal government. The loans were paused since 2019 following covid. The only category of people that benefitted were the Teachers and Social workers. In June 2023, the US Supreme Court stopped Joe Biden from offering further student loan forgiveness because he doesn't have power to do so. I don't understand why anyone would expect the government to help them pay personal loans. Student loans in the US are payable up to 5% of their discretionary income. Thanks for your intelligent contribution to nairaland. Most people here are idiots. |
sevenhundred:I don't know of any country that intentionally subjected her citizens to poverty. |
Floky215:Stop making assumptions; It makes you come through as a person who lacks the ability to reason critically. What has being agbero got to do with what is being discussed here? How would you know if I was one of your secondary school teachers? I haven't stepped on the shore of Nigeria in the past two years, and I have been working and living in Europe for over twenty. I want to assume you were in nappies when I relocated from Nigeria. Who are the people whose debts were forgiven in the USA? Who was the lender? Some loan apps? |
Mention a developed country where the government paid loans owed by the citizens. |
Olatunji1929:The problem with that is the possibility of wrongful conviction. The Nigerian police will arrest innocent people and parade them as kidnappers. Maybe death sentence may be signed after the case has gone to the Supreme Court and the accused is provided with legal representation. Even in the USA people spent more than 48 years in prison for rape they didn't commit. Imagine what would happen in Naija. |
This is the kind of opposition that is needed in Nigeria. Suggesting ideas that are able to drive government policies is what we need; not condemning every action of the government. Let's hope they listen to Peter Obi. |
SoNature:This same mindset of yours has kept our country and continent from progressing like the rest of the world. Tunji Ojo would have turned in his resignation if he were to be a minister in the United Kingdom. We keep promoting the people who should be in prisons into positions of power in Nigeria. The man broke the law. Simple, and he should face the consequences. |
That lady with a yellow bag is going to be late for her appointment. The governor should have offered her lift. |
Chances are the power that be in APC won’t allow him to pick the party ticket in the next election. |
The police have no right to shoot him unless he in involved in armed robbery or engaged in a criminal act that puts the life of an officer or others at risk. Theweekend: |
PAYE and Corporations tax are not the same. Your employer deducts taxes from your PAYE earnings. You pay taxes on your company earnings after you deduct all your expenses. You do not have control over your deductibles if you are working for someone and earning salaries. InvertedHammer: |
You are right and that doesn’t mean I am wrong. My cars are own by the company I fully own. All my fuel and car repairs are done from the company account. Most of my clothing are work clothes. This is the game the rich people play. My trips to Nigeria are all business trips (not holidays). They are all paid for from my company account. That’s how the rich write off expenses from their taxes. Grant Cardone wrote off his Gulfstream jet against his tax. You can Google it. I used footballers as example because that’s what an average Nigerian can relate with. Atiku paid less than N5m as tax according to his tax clearance certificate prior to the election. Personal finance should be a mandatory course in Nigeria for secondary school students. Reading Robert Kiyosaki’s Rich Dad, Poor Dad would have made this post unnecessary. You are not an average Nigerian and it’s pleasure interacting with you. VULCAN: |
How did MNK found himself in this situation? That should be your concern. They didn’t raid his home or kidnapped him from Kenya for no reason. Don’t you think he brought the problem on himself? Many people, especially Igbos, have died as a result of the orders he gave through his broadcasts. Those family deserve justice too. I know that many of MNK’s apologists are emotional; they lack logical thinking. I hope you are not one of them. OkpaNsukkaisBae: |
You are not very intelligent. I work and live in England. I pay my taxes here. Furthermore, I don't want to call you a fool, not because you are not one, but because it will violate Nairaland 2nd rule. DeadCountry: |
False information. You pay 0% tax on the first £12,570. 20% basic rate tax on the part of your income which falls into the next tax bracket (£12,571 up to £50,270). This means you'll pay 20% tax on £37,700. Anything you earn above £50,271 to £125,140, is taxed at 40%. Your income over £125,140, is taxed at 45%. That's why you see those footballers with fleets of expensive cars. That is where they put all their earnings to avoid paying big taxes. |
Nigeria won’t get a penny from the company. The company is going to file for bankruptcy within few days. Some powerful Nigerians are behind the company, because some people brought them to Nigeria to defraud the country in the first place. MrSundry: |
Who is the president now? Who is living in Aso rock villa at the moment? Burruchaga71: |
Is that the first case she has handled? She is very close to retirement. The report says the woman has been investigated for corruption and other wrongdoing. The only issue is if the governor has power to suspend her, and I am sure he must have made consultations before making the decision. From what I have read, She is a very corrupt judge. iCauseTrouble: |
He is a entitled to a lifetime police and DSS escort as a former governor of Lagos State. I hope you understand. viyon02: |
Politicians are the same in Nigeria. They have no ideologies; they only need the parties to get into office. Don't be surprised when Atiku Abubakar joins the Labour Party in 2027. The current Labour Party memebers who won the elections are not different from their counterparts in APC and PDP. kettykin: |
Your level of intelligence is abysmally low. People like you are the reason the country won’t progress. The university provided evidence that the man did graduated from their university. You kept calling him all sorts of names. If your father is half of what the president is, you won’t be a frustrated fellow on nairaland today. Go and find something meaningful to do. People still make money legitimately in Nigeria. If you are so jobless I can help you find a source of income that will give you between 800k to 1million naira every month. Don’t be a jerk. President Tinubu was a graduate of CSU. The registrar confirmed that under oath. It’s time to move on. Politics is over. OgaTheTop2: |
If you’ve worked four 12 hour shifts in an Amazon warehouse you won’t have time to be obsessed with Tinubu’s certificate. This man was a senator, the governor of the richest state in Nigeria, and now the president of the federal Republic of Nigeria. You should study him and see how you can turn your own life around, and stop being a jerk. OgaTheTop2: |
You’ve been educated on why this man is on trial: He stole billions and he was very corrupt. Buhari didn’t tell him to criminally enrich himself. Please stop saying he carried out the order of his boss. Thanks. DrGoodman: |
