Who takes Peter seriously these days? No one!!!
Simply because even he does not believe in his jumbles of half-baked, incoherent impulses.
I would never respect Peter, till he does what's right. Till he pleases his late mom and listens to the counsel of his brothers. lol, wat do u tink he can possibly buy wit ur respect? U r a kid who know nothing about real life battle. Life is a respecter of no one. |

Point of correction! YOU HAVE INVESTED 8.5 BILLION DOLLARS IN NORTHERN NIGERIA! Make sure to collect your loan repayment from them. Never you come to the south for loan recovery. This is a warning from the oil rich Niger delta people of southern nigeria The rate at which BUHARI is spending dollars in billions is mind boggling, yet no improvement in the lives of ordinary nigerians like us. |

Ymodulus: This business is akin to a day to day kiosk where one opens a mini store and claims he owns a business.
In business of these nature, people will only be happy for you on the first week and second week after then you begin to questions investment and slow pace of sale and on going.
Business of these nature do not spur growth they kill growth and innovation.
I expected O.P to add more to his ideas and promote it. A business where you can't give a projected estimate of where you did be in a certain period of time is not a business.
There are several ways he can reform his business still based on the shoes but now a different idea entirely.
What the O.P just did in all honesty is create another Shop on the streets without solving a problem.....
Some time two months ago while I was at a summit outside the country, a man said Nigerians have tons of entrepreneurs but they all lack one thing.- The ability to tell you what the problem their business are addressing.
If the O.P can state problem is business is addressing and work on this well he can succeed well.
Oh some might say capital is needed. Capital shouldn't be a problem, the idea is.
Thanks u don't know wat u r talking abt. As a business educator, i can tell u that this young man is on the right path. Everyone must nt be an inventor to qualify as entrepreneur! I know a lot of wholesalers and retailers that are very successful, apple, Gucci, Zara and other world brands do not have to open shops in all nooks and cranies, they leave that space for investors like this young man, who inturn brings some kind of value addition to the products like after sales services. Bcareful how u kill a dream in ur attempt to appear as intelligent, cos u know nothing about the world of economic activities. |

proffemi: No sir! The work is the student's! Abi how is it cited? Is it cited as an unpublished work in the supervisor's name
The supervisor's responsibility (and liability) is spelled out in the page on which he signs (the Certification page). To help you, I'll write out what my university's theses have:
This is to certify that this is an original research work carried out by .... in the Department of ... under my supervision.
That page exposes the hypocrisy of supervisors harassing students over their acknowledgement. young man, u've assumed a condescending posture to midwife an infant entity. U said the supervisor is responsible for academic content of the work, and I said he is responsible for all content. Responsibility here refers to his scope of supervision just like u have in the scope of the research study Sir |
Education › Re: Student Acknowledged His Sweetheart In His Seminar & His Professor Lecturer Did by pedrilo: 9:51am On Oct 16, 2017 |
proffemi: I beg to disagree strongly sir. The supervisor's signature makes him responsible for the academic content of the work, and not the living conditions or circumstances under which the student conducted the work!
I will urge you to go back and read the contents of the page on which the supervisor signs! the supervisor is responsible for the project from title page to references. |
Education › Re: Student Acknowledged His Sweetheart In His Seminar & His Professor Lecturer Did by pedrilo: 9:40am On Oct 16, 2017 |
proffemi: I disagree absolutely.
Of course this is Nigeria where might makes right; the supervisor will probably have his way. However, a supervisor is there to advise on academic matters, and not force a student to adopt his own world view or belief system! i am also a researcher okay, in fact at doctorial level. as long as the prof will append his name on the certification page of that work which comes b4 acknowledgedment page, then the student must convince him why the word "swt hrt" shud not be obliterated That is the reason for prof's question "HOW" |

proffemi: I don't understand you "advice" o, and why you're giving it. What do you mean by "got lost in the usual excitement of project completion". I repeat, is a man (probably) over 18 not entitled to have a girlfriend? * Or are you saying that there is a master list of things worthy of acknowledgement in theses??
Modified: how would something like that in the ACKNOWLEDGEMENT section mar a researcher's career? Is he a Mullah? Full disclosure: I myself am a researcher, and I've assessed theses for what I will vaguely call "decades".
* Again, I repeat: no evidence of sexual immorality. the core issue here is moral decorum and not sex related. Don't write to the prof, wat u can not write to the girl's father. |

proffemi: Oh, come off it! What's this character thing you guys are going on and on about? Are you saying a young man who is very likely over 18 years should hide the fact that he is in love? When did being in love suddenly become a crime?
I'm not condoning sexual immorality. There's no evidence that such has happened here. here is an advice for u, bcareful not to ruin ur effort wen close to success. The researcher of that work got lost in the usual excitement of project completion. And don't forget, a research work can make or mar the supervisor of the work. The prof is obviously of high morals and the onus is on the student to work within the moral appetite of his oga. |

U tink say sch na national union of road transport workers? From the response av seen so far in this thread, the future of this nation is at risk of moral bankruptcy. |

I acknowledged bae in my thesis too but I simply referred to her as a special friend. That researcher assumed a morally condescending posture in his choice of words (character flaw) As a reseacher, you must understand your supervisor by possessing two key elements of emotional intelligence, i.e self awareness and self regulation. The researcher simply doesnt understand his supervisor and lacks self control. |

BabaRamota1980: Your son was thrown out for incompetency, not for hate.
Even the ministers that served under your son admit he is "clueless" and lacks the stamina to act presidential. Long after his exit he is yet to come up with a tenable defense to shield his ministers against charges of impropriety....clueless in office, clueless out of office. no problem sir, just bring ur thief of a son and suffer a humiliating defeat. Just as northerners are the problem of Nigeria, south west is the problem of the south |
