Are you still keeping your savings in bank and having high bp on regular debit alerts on charges?

Do you want to receive credit alert on your savings from piggyvest rather than a debit alert for bank charges by month end?

Wait no longer. Register using the link below and watch your interest grow.

Investment / Re: How Can I Be Saving My Money In US Dollars (or Other Foreign Currencies) by peejay03: 10:53am On Sep 07, 2021
Instead of the buy this and buy that or opening a dorm account in Nigeria, why not register on piggyvest and save your money in dollar. By that, you don't need to worry about one bank deducting your hard earned money or bitcoin falling. The good part about piggyvest is, your savings begin to yield interest immediately. Check out the link to their site below and register. Save yourself the unnecessary headache.

Bubewilson:
This thread hit me so hard - https://www.nairaland.com/6518971/nigerians-shun-naira-foreign-currencies

I operate one of these savings accounts that you are not expected to withdraw from after some period of time. Mine is 5 years...2020-2025

But looking at the way things are going in Nigeria; especially how the Naira is jealously losing value with nothing concrete being done about it, prices of basic items skyrocketing, inflation, no meaningful interest paid on our small small savings, not being sure of what will become of this country, etc. I am seriously thinking of saving money in a more meaningful foreign currency.

Fact is: what N100k can buy in April 2021, come December 2021, that same 100k can't afford the same item.

So I want to ask...is there a way I can convert my naira into dollars and save the same in any of the commercial banks we have around here. Or is there any way at all I can be saving money in a foreign currency while being in Nigeria?

If you need assistance in setting up your account with piggyvest, feel free to leave a message.
Investment / Re: Earn Interest From Your Savings While You Work And Sleep Peacefully by peejay03: 2:58pm On Sep 06, 2021
I forgot to include that by completely setting up your account using the link in my first message, you instantly get credited with N1,000. Isn't this a place to be? You save and still get paid. Share the link with your loved ones and tell them to hop on it immediately. Saving in bank will only reduce your money.

A lot of us ponder on how our little savings can be of benefit to us while we juggle with work, family and other things. We crave to indulge in an investment which will pay us on a daily while we concentrate on other meaningful things.

Some get furious with the incessant debit alerts from banks which mostly are termed *charges for sms, charges for maintenance and the likes*. Can you imagine saving N1,000,000 in your bank account and the next time you check, it has become N999,900. How angry will you be?

However, have you thought about saving your money with a trusted body (PIGGYVEST) which won't deduct any charge but rather, pay you daily for saving your funds with them. Piggyvest has been in existence since 2016 and they keep growing stronger. A lot of us know them but some are still sleeping on it. The company has over 2million customers and is still waxing stronger.

While saving your funds with them, you can decide to invest in so many things at a reasonable percentage.

To shock you, by saving your funds alone with them, you get a 10% interest. We all know how the economy has been and the increase in the dollar rate. Everyone is earning and saving in dollar because that's where the deal is.

With the company, you can decide to save your naira in dollar and watch it grow with time while you sleep.

To cut the long gist short because I can't be the only one benefitting, kindly visit their site using the link below and get started with your savings.

https://www.piggyvest.com/?newref=1&ref=22dabb86eb0720

Note: No man becomes rich by just leaving your savings in your bank account. Let your savings work for you.

Also, once you register using the link and have your account completely set up, you receive N1000 instantly.

1. A remark for reading/writing and wait for the outcome. Is an upgrade assured for both?
2. A remark for reading/writing and also register for another test. This is in case the first option does not come out favorable.
3. How much is MOD remark?
4. Does the remark payment apply to each of the test or it covers for both?

Phones / Re: IOS Iphone Anyone? Find A Solution For Ur Iphones Here by peejay03: 6:45pm On Sep 18, 2019
Good evening,

My iphone 6s has been showing the apple logo which has been going on and off for 2 days. It prompted me to update to the recent IOS over the weekend and the issue started after i got connected to my office WIFI on monday. Tried taking it to a repair centre in which a new battery was tested but the apple booting logo keeps coming up without going to the home page. Connected to itunes on a laptop for an update but it keeps bringing some error code or showing 'itunes cannot identify your device''.

Has anyone experienced this and what is the possible solution please?

I reside in Lagos if anyone wants to refer me to a good apple service centre.

Thanks.

How i wish i can encourage myself this same way. I am so sad with my result after putting so much effort in preparing during break at work and after work at night. 1st attempt LRWS - 7,6,6,7.5. Read almost all the parts of this thread, practiced with some materials shared here, likewise youtube. I expected nothing less than 8 in both listening and reading because i assumed i did it very well. Hoping for the best next time.
toyinana:
Am in so much pain now as I just got to see my result after a lot of anxiety, my 1st attempt LRWS - 7.5, 6, 5.5, 7.5. Thanks to all contributors here whose stories has encouraged me as am not giving up.

And am staying glued to NL till my success story lands.

I don't intend reapplying now. Would wait and hopefully i will get a visa when i reapply again. Thank you. smiley
Amoj4682:

Sorry about the refusal. Yoi cannot appeal a US visa refusal. You can only re apply. Re applying immediately might show desperation. Why don't you wait a bit. Anyways i am not a VO just saying my own. You can take the risk and reapply but have it in mind that its a 50/50 chance.

@Obernix, thanks for your response the other day. My interview with my mum ended up as a bitter sweet grin. My mum was issued a visa but I got rejected.
Me: Good morning
Vo: Good morning
(Handed over our passports to the vo and he checks his system)
Vo: You are traveling together but applied separately, so you will be interviewed separately.
Me: Alright (smiling)
Vo: Where are you traveling to?
Me: I am traveling to ******** to visit my aunt and her family during my annual leave at work and break from school, use the opportunity to visit my elder sister & her family and return to work in Nigeria and also complete my masters degree.
Vo: What do you do?
Me: I work as *********** at ***********. My duties entail *******************.
Vo: How long do you intend traveling?
Me:3 weeks
Vo: How long have you been working?
Me: 5 years
Vo: Have you travelled out of Nigeria before?
Me: Yes. Travelled to ********** on vacation and returned to work and school in Nigeria.

Vo faces my mum
Vo: You are retired. What were you doing before you retired??
Mum: I was a **********. I got promoted in ***** year as a ********, retired at the highest level as a**********. And I presently work for ******** on a program designed for retirees.
Vo: How many children do you have.
Mum: 2
(Vo types for long with myself and mum smiling and giggling. Vo hands over the white form to mum and told her to pick her passport at the circled address after receiving a mail.)
Me: Thank you Lord (Smiling)

Vo: Turns to me and handed over my passport with a blue paper. *Sorry, you are not eligible at this point)
Me: *did a sad face to the Vo and smiled* Collected my passport and walked out with joy for my mum.
Now she can visit my sis after a very long time

My aunt who invited us said we should appeal because I have no intention staying back aside visiting and returning back to work and school.
What do you think of the appeal Can I still be issued a visa at this point and what’s the procedure??

peejay03:
My interview with my mum is next week Friday and i’m not eager to attend because of the high increase in rejection. My mum and I have been invited by my Aunt and only sis whom we’ve not seen in years for visiting. I have strong ties here in Nigeria with a good job, my personal business and my masters which is still in view. My mum is retired but has a temporary job with the judiciary for retirees. I don’t mind if i’m given a blue paper but I really want my mum to be issued a visa just to see my sister. I have travelled to some African countries but my mum hasn’t travelled before. Do you think we have a chance to be issued a visa, especially my mum

Thanks so so much. You just boosted my confidence the more. Will go along with all necessary documents and will lift my head up high irrespective of the outcome of the day.

Cheers. smiley
Obernix:

They rejected others , doesnt mean they'd reject you. Head no be the same. I'd say its not the paper work US follows 100% (Judging from what I see in these videos), its Prayer, first and the questions and the way you answer them. If you are going to answer them, Let whatever you tell them, match with your documents. Have a Letter of introduction, and if you have a Registered Business have your CAC Certificate and Bank Statements all in your name to match.

I have been watching several videos on Youtube here in the office, for the past 5 days now. Asides being some sort-of Uniform questions they ask in different ways, They would just ask it to scare you, when you fall for it, You get a denial (Both for F-1 and B1/B2) As though, You dont know what you saying. For instance, one of the interviewers asked someone who was going for a business why he was going and where he was going to, its supposed to be understood that he knows the Address, he just told the man he didnt know the Address and he was denied visa on the grounds, he didnt know where he was going and he didnt give them enough evidence - So you see, its basically how you answer them.

Sometimes its always best you use documents that Makes a whole lot of sense, like you going for a conference or some study (Short study) And have the company back you up with their Bank statements. When they see the company details, And their (The company's) Bank Statements, the rest of the questions would be milder as they see you have strong ties to your home country... and they are financing your trip grin My thinking tho...

Sometimes they'd ask you, why would I give you two days when the conference is just 2 days. They are expecting that you would come up with something like ..."I plan on going to see a family member, probably after the business / conference for sometime...." You know say Nigeria, we sharp... we go wan lie... and in the process we no go talk Lie way sweet.. before you know, Blue Paper go follow us comot Walter Carrington.

Those Oyibo V.O just day use psychology day deal with us for here.

Just calm down and learn how to answer your Questions. Thats what i'd say.
