Are you high on weed? What type of experience earns you an academic masters degree without bachelor's degree or academic works?

SarkinYarki:

Christianity EtcRe: Pastor Poju Oyemade Deletes His Tweets After He was Attacked On Twitter by peggywebbs(f): 8:55am On Jul 01, 2022
My own issue is not even who he supports. How can a pastor deliberately misinterpret the Bible to suit his narrative. How do you work for faith? The Bible clearly defines faith. Joseph did not work for faith. Guy was living his life normally until God's promise was fulfilled.

He didn't sell himself to slavery. He didn't ask portiphers wife to seduce him, neither did he tell people he was a dream interpreter. Everything happened naturally, and the way it ought to.

That's why people should not listen to all this businessmen called pastors. They will mislead you and make you seem unintelligent. Anyway, please vote wisely if you love Nigeria. Peter Obi is the right candidate, he checks all the requirements. Do not vote because of tribe, do not sell your vote. Remember that if you do, you will suffer eight more years.

One leader came and herdsmen caused havoc

If you choose wrong, we will join agberos to the mix. Imagine a Nigeria plagued with herdsmen, bokoharam, kidnappers and agberos.

If you vote wrong, ASUU will remain on strike forever, under leadership without certificate

If you vote wrong, you will pay taxes through your nose for services that will never be rendered

If you vote wrong, you will pay for expensive medical treatment and holidays abroad.

If you vote wrong, you will have N10,000 or N30,000 jobs, while your leaders earn millions.

If you vote wrong, you will be recruited in the army to plant cassava and corn to eat.

Please vote intelligently, and be Obedient.
Christianity EtcRe: Why Did You Become An Atheist by peggywebbs(f): 11:44pm On Jun 29, 2022
I don't agree with you at all on the treatment of atheists. Unless you don't live in Nigeria, nobody has the time and energy especially in the south to discriminate people because of their religious stand. The last I checked, Christians are not even done fighting themselves, they don't have time to add atheists to the mix.

In an argument between two Christians, if an atheists butts in, the Christians will ignore and continue their squabbles. However, for the predominantly Muslim North, I cannot say but what I do know is they don't really care unless you insult their Prophet.

So, I beg to differ that atheists are mistreated. They are treated exactly the same way Nigerians treat themselves. I don't know about foreign countries though, but I can say for this one.

In fact, atheists draw attention to themselves when they set up derogatory threads. That's where I know they receive the length of the tongue of a passionate religious person.

Wilgrea7:
I've certainly noticed the "angry atheist" type you're talking about. I think it's because they feel the years they spent in religion robbed them of some sort of life or the other. Especially for those brought up in fundamentalist religious homes.

Plus, some religious societies, especially places like Nigeria don't like atheists. And the anger they exhibit online is their way of retaliating against the hate they receive from society. Although if you ask me, that's preaching to the wrong crowd. Plus, insulting someone else's beliefs hardly accomplishes anything.

If i'm being honest, there was once a time i used to love engaging in religious debates. Not in the insultive way tho. I was just eager to share the knowledge I had gained on religious subjects.

I later stopped tho, because I realized that for most people, belief in a god is what keeps them sane, or what gets them through some hard times in life and helps them stay at peace. I wouldn't want to take that away from them, so I generally tend to avoid most religious debates in person these days.

Except of course if someone comes up to me and insists they know everything about life and the universe. Then i let them have it.
Christianity EtcRe: Why Did You Become An Atheist by peggywebbs(f): 11:33pm On Jun 29, 2022
Why would you go take old statistics to prove your point. As of 2022 Nigeria is not top 10 and that atlas is not a top 10 list.

Angel55555:
Like I said earlier, Nigeria is one of the most religious countries in the world. The ss is from the world book atlas. Trust me the way a typical religious person in the US thinks is different from what we have here, people are more open minded there regardless of your religion, they believe humanity comes first before anything else it's the opposite in present day Nigeria.

I didn't say anything like religious people are mentally unstable. I'm agnostic I've nothing against religious people as long as you don't disturb others with your religion or make yourself a nuisance in the society. Lastly, not everyone who is not religious is mad at God.
Christianity EtcRe: Why Did You Become An Atheist by peggywebbs(f): 10:07pm On Jun 29, 2022
Who says Zeus and Odin aren't real? What's the point of reading a book when you have a closed mind. It's like having a book and making a copy only to shelf it.

I'm sorry you're not seeking knowledge, you're seeking a reason to deny knowledge. Besides atheism does not mean lack of belief in the Christian God. So why are you fixated on Christians? Why do you even read religious books, I will have to ask if you're purpose is to not believe?

Well like I said majority of atheists won't even tell themselves the truth. You're not honest with yourself.

Blakjewelry:
The whole disappointment thing you guys keeping hitting at is from your head. If you are hungry for knowledge there is no way you will stick to one religious teaching. I have read history books which record as earliest as possible when man started documenting his own history to archeological findings to putting in the pieces and many religious books to alot of ancient Jewish history to their culture, science, astronomy and all that, so if you come here try to say what you think as the reason for my stand, I have nothing to say but laugh at you. Merge all the knowledge together and you will find your god is no different from Zeus and Odin.
Christianity EtcRe: Why Did You Become An Atheist by peggywebbs(f): 10:01pm On Jun 29, 2022
Like I said Nigeria is not among the top 10 religious countries in the world. You can go confirm but that's the truth. The US and the UK are very religious but their religion is not restricted to Christianity and Islam. They have a lot of pagans and not necessarily atheists, in fact you'd be surprised at the population of atheists in those countries.

So here's what you should be if you're truly atheist. Focus on the things you love, leave the imaginary things to the mental people. However, if you are constantly fighting Christians on nairaland, you are part of the angry category. You're not looking for evidence, but you're finding a reason to be mad at God and possibly insult him in whatever way you can. That's not atheism, but pure anger your God.

Angel55555:
Nigeria is one of the most religious countries in the world due to the size of our population, we should be number 7 or 8 i think.

I'm not generalising it, you can't compare how a religious person in an industrial country like the UK or US thinks compared to a third world country like Nigeria. Young people are introduced to science at an early age over there compared to here in Nigeria, there's stable light, security and working infrastructure. They are taught that there's always a reasonable scientific explanation for everything in life, where by in Nigeria people always make up religious and traditional stories for every damn thing, even if it is something that you just need to use your common sense to evaluate.

I'm not against religion, everyone is entitled to their beliefs.
Christianity EtcRe: Why Did You Become An Atheist by peggywebbs(f): 9:55pm On Jun 29, 2022
You're right but here's what I think. Religion doesn't confuse people. It's human nature to doubt, to argue and disbelief.

Even in our society today, if someone sends out a video, 100 people watch it. You would be surprised that only 20 people will believe what they are seeing with their two eyes. Some people will be asking for context, some people will say it was edited, some people will say it's a skit. Eventually that incident will be made meaningless and the message the video intends to pass will be lost.

Like I said it's not just religion, it's everything. The idea of Christianity was not to force people to believe. It was to pass a message, a truth to people. God knew many would not believe, many will counter it. Why? Remember we have free will, which means we get to decide. If we want to follow or not. So don't make excuses for people when they don't believe, it's the choice they have made. Besides Jesus did not bring religion, he brought spiritual truth, so yes I agree with you. One should be a believer rather than being religious.

Akalia:
For the record, I won't blame many atheists partly for not believing in the existence of the Almighty Jehovah GOD but I will rather blame religion for imparting the wrong knowledge of GOD in them when they were still conformists.

You see, religion was supposed to help people find their path to the throne of the almighty but instead it only brings utter confusion to the minds of conformists. This confusion arises from a myriad of misconceptions about God, doctrines and dogmas crafted by man's imagination instead of by God's inspiration.

Personally, I do not identify with any religion but I identify as a believer- a believer of the gospel, the finished work of christ on the cross of calvary; the trinity, heaven and hell and all other things based on biblical knowledge solely.

Today's contemporary Religions are all man made and do not reflect God's inspired religion in anyway, if you doubt me then read James 1:27 to understand what true religion is all about.

My advice to all Atheists and wannabe Atheists out there is to turn away from whatever dissapointments they experienced while conforming to religion in the time past.

GOD truly exists, no bullshitting here but to attest to his existence one has got to connect on a personal basis through Jesus christ and not through some religion or religious leader.
Christianity EtcRe: Why Did You Become An Atheist by peggywebbs(f): 9:46pm On Jun 29, 2022
I didn't generalize. Besides I have lived with atheists, worked with them and have them as friends. The genuine ones don't just care about religion generally, they are neutral. Instead they are realist and focus on the things they are passionate about. Most of them I know are artists, very creative and very passionate about visual things. What you won't see them doing is setting up opportunities to argue the existence of God. They don't even think about God or talk about it. They respect people's beliefs but don't try pushing yours on them.

The ones who scream "I'm an atheist" and spend time insulting people's beliefs are the angry ones. They will quote a bible they claim not to believe and keep telling you to prove the existence of God. Why should you prove it to them? Obviously they are looking for God and thinking about him constantly, but they are also angry.

We have thousands of religions around the world but you won't see them antagonizing them. They won't even dare go near the Qur'an or Muslims. But instead, they go to familiar ground where their foundation is.

Again many of the atheists you see are not genuine, only very few are. You may be among the few but it's your choice to decide.

Wilgrea7:
While I can't speak for the remaining 2 categories, I think you may be wrong on the first one. Sure, I'm not denying the possibility that people like this could exist, but disbelieving in a god simply because you didn't get answers to your prayers is a pretty poor reason.

If there's one thing I can relate to, it's the part of not being convinced about the existence of a God, or at least, in the sense that religion tries to paint it. This isn't due to some prayer that didn't get answered. It's simply due to lack of evidence for the concept of God painted by religion. This is me speaking for myself btw. I can't verify what other non-believers think.
Christianity EtcRe: Why Did You Become An Atheist by peggywebbs(f): 6:06pm On Jun 29, 2022
That's where you're wrong. Statistics does not even put Nigeria in the top 10 religious countries in the world. Don't think that the West represents the whole world and Christianity is not the only religion either.

Just as I analysed the different types of atheists, there are different types of Christians. So don't even bother generalizing

Angel55555:
I believe religion is for those who are emotionally attached to things, they want to believe there's more to life, even after death. This explains why you'll find more religious people in Africa/Asia than anywhere else in the world, most industrial and Liberal countries hardly have overzealous religious people who think killing others because of their religious differences is cool.
Sadly once you die that's the end of life, no afterlife or anything after death.
Christianity EtcRe: Why Did You Become An Atheist by peggywebbs(f): 4:41pm On Jun 29, 2022
Why are you angry? Or do you belong to the angry category of atheists? Don't worry I'll pray for you tonight for God to heal your heart.

Christianity EtcRe: Why Did You Become An Atheist by peggywebbs(f): 4:06pm On Jun 29, 2022
One thing I've learnt about atheists is that they have herd mentality. There are only very few atheists but you see the rest are either followers, angry people, and those who don't like extra activities.

However, the majority even from the comments are ex-christians. The common excuse is they are not convinced about the existence of God. So, many of them will simply tell you that's why they became atheist. What they won't tell you is the disappointment they have felt.

Many have had experiences where they thought or expected God to do something but they got nothing. In anger, they left the religion because they saw no point to it. While another group fall in the category of those forced to go to church as kids on Sunday. They'd rather be at home watching a movie or with their PS4. Growing up gave them the opportunity to stay back at home.

They got used to it and so Sundays became like every other day and they forgot about church. Since they don't bother well it's as good as there's no point of religion. Then the last group which constitute the majority is school. Well that's where most people don't go to church, I never did in school. But you see when someone says there's no God, the other person well thinks it's cool and they sort of become atheists by association. So they hang around and argue the whole idea why Christians are nuts. It's a fun conversation, they flow with it and then bam, they are now confirmed atheists.

So that's about it.

sundaygray:
Omo i observed the life, learned different religions sat down and thought about life in general and also, never had a spiritual encounter i have spent money, a lot of money for a spiritual encounter but no level baba. The lack of evidence just make me chill. Unless God appears and shows himself to me, no level grin

What is your problem? Must you pick an argument with everything? I only gave my opinion, you can answer his question if you have something to say.

Kobojunkie:
Bullsheet... there is nothing normal about your mind being "conscious" when you are actually supposed to be asleep.. undecided

There is nothing like a "partial" dream state. Normal is your enter body is paralyzed and focused on the dreaming or, you are awake and conscious of it. A disorder occurs when your own mind is confused about whether you are in dreaming state or or conscious state. Many folks die that way. undecided
Christianity EtcRe: Who Else Experiences Hypnagogic Hallucinations?? by peggywebbs(f): 8:37pm On Jun 28, 2022
Yes it's normal. It's like a partial dream state but it feels quite real.

FrauleinBlossom:
Hypnopompic or hypnagogic hallucinations as it is termed, usually occur during sleep state, either at the point of sleeping or at the point of waking up.When you experience these hallucinations, you see, hear, or feel things that aren't actually there.

In my case, I experience mine at the point of waking up, usually at the wee hours of the night. Mine is usually auditory.

I start hearing sounds, noises, voices all sorts of things, they sound very real like car horn blaring loudly, people chatting/discussing, radio transmissions, television noises, airplane, the normal hustle and bustle sounds from everyday life. I am very conscious of myself when I'm in that state, it's not like a dream at all.. but As soon as I open my eyes, I am back to the silence of my room, I close them, I immediately return to the noises, sometimes I hear people discussing in a foreign language, sometimes in a language that I understand but can't really make anything of what they are talking about, sometimes there's a baby crying somewhere, or a voice from the radio delivering the latest news... I snap in and out of this state momentarily at will just by opening and closing my eyes, until I decide I've heard enough and consciously will myself to fall asleep again.
I also usually have another type of experience where my consciousness wakes up before my body, No! I don't see demons or anybody trying to choke me to death... I just wake up, aware that my body is still asleep... and in that state, sometimes I hear cricket sounds, water splashing, and other kinds of noises that I can't explain, and my eyes are open but I don't see my room, I see twilight, almost darkness, to get out of that state, what I do is to try to move any part of my body.. as soon as I do that , my body awakes in 'real' life, I don't need to shout 'Jesus'. In all these experiences, i feel more of curiosity than fear. in one of those occasions where my consciousness woke up before my body,I felt my spirit/soul levitating upwards out of my body accompanied with this loud screeching sound in my head.. Fear gripped me and I immediately aborted the mission.. and soon after, I willed myself to sleep again.

Has anyone or does anyone have similar experiences like mine? Care to share?

Why will I hide my face. I'm entitled to my political opinions. I'm only interested in someone who will make Nigeria a conductive place for me and my future generations. I'm not a politician and I have no interest other than a reputable candidate.

If Tinubu wins, God help Nigeria. I don't see him giving Nigeria what it needs and unless you lie to yourself before you sleep, you know it too

So where are Tinubu's minimum qualifications as required by the law. He tendered an affidavit for Pete's sake. Nothing else?

olas24u:
The point isn't that PRIMARY and SECONDARY SCHOOLS CERTIFICATES aren't good or okay to have but THE LAW only requests that you have them OR THEIR EQUIVALENTS as MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS.

As i understand the Law, If a man didn't go to school at all in his wholw life but has had verifiable and certifiable exposures to other forms of EDUCATION THAT IS EQUIVALENT TO FLSC/WASCE he is okay by the LAW to contest any Elections in Nigeria.

The LAW DOESN'T say you MUST BRING FSLC OR WASCE.

If you had a DIPLOMA, it already surpasses the MINIMUM REQUIREMENT.

The LAW WILL ACCEPT IT.

Tinubu says he has not only a DEGREE but YEARS OF PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCES obtained from well-known organizations.

Those are the EVIDENCES HE WISHES to present and they both SATISFY THE LAWS.

The LAW isn't about sentiments or emotions but the things that are WRITTEN IN THE STATUTES.

Your duty is to check out the QUALIFICATIONS HE PRESENTED to ascertain if they were true.

It can't be his fault that you will rather spend your time looking for some ancestoral' and ante-natal records of ghosts from Iragbiji.

That's your choice.

You are free to continue combing the forests and grooves of Iragbiji looking for what you already predetermined in your mind to find.

Good luck to you all.

You may even be lucky to find the birth certificate of Oramiyan or exhume the corpses of Oduduwa and Obatala in the process.

That man has FULFILLED THE REQUIREMENTS OF THE LAW.

Dazzol.

It is left to you to check which side of your head is paining you so we may know the right Egbògi to give you.

So where is Tinubu's Wassce or WAEC certificate? Please go and read the electoral act and your Constitution to know the position of the law. You don't have to be a lawyer to know your rights.

Read and don't let anyone deceive you with mumbo jumbo.

olas24u:
I am not a Lawyer like my Chairman Ifenna Okeke but I have common sense enough to have heard small gists from the Law.

1. The LAW says you MUST be a NIGERIAN.

Asíwájú is evidently a Yoruba man from SOUTH-WEST NIGERIA.

He has a Nigerian Passport to that effect.

He told you he is from Lagos.

He told you his NAME is BOLA AHMED TINUBU. The LAW recognizes him as THAT NAME.

A man has a RIGHT to any name he wishes to take as long as it is KNOWN TO LAW and attached to him.

You are.the one who has problem. You are desperately trying to give him a new identity at old age. Isn't that silly?

He told you his mother was the late Alhaja Abibat Mogaji.

Alhaja NEVER denied it.

Nobody in the Tinubu family has ever denied it.

No Law can disprove it.

You are the one who is hitting your head on granite stones over it, trying to give him another mother.

2. The LAW says he MUST be at least 35 YEARS of age as at the time he comes out for Election.

The man tells you he was born in 1952 and that makes him 70 years old now. He qualifies.

All papers before the LAW, Affidavit and everything else he has entered in official correspondences and records support the FACT of his age.

There are many men who are still alive in Lagos, men like Chief Bode George who see Bola Tinubu more or less like a junior brother in the Lagos hoods. Bode George is about 76yeara old.

The LAW hasn't complained about his age.

You are the one tearing pyant over it, you say he must be older than Obasanjo.

Walahi you are not well.

3. The LAW says a candidate MUST have a MINIMUM OF WASCE.

Tinubu can read and write.

He can speak English.

Asíwájú tells you he has a DEGREE from a University in America.

He doesn't care to talk about his FSLC OR WASCE. He doesn't even need to talk about then to fulfil the requirements.of the LAW.

The LAW doesn't quarrel with that Position of Tinubu

The University he got the degree from is still in existence in same America and it hasn't DENIED he was with them.

He has done declarations in the past and answered your queries and questions.

He already told you that whatever discrepancies there may have been were the fault of another man who entered it.

The LAW AGREED with him at the LAGOS HOUSE OF ASSEMBLY AND THE FEDERAL SUPREME.COURT.

You didn't go to the American school to find out anything.

You are frustrated because you don't know which Schools, Forest or Grooves to enter in Iragbiji town of Osun State to find the ancestors you desperately wish to attach to his name.

How is that Bola Tinubu's fault edakun?

Continue looking.

4. The LAW says he MUST never be found to have been CONVICTED home or abroad.

EFCC is there.

ICPC is there.

CCB is there.

You have NPF, FIIB, FIU, NIA, NSA, DSS,.DMI in Nigeria and FBI and CIA are still in America.

The man has been out of Government since 2007 [ 15 YEARS ] and has NO IMMUNITY.

You know his house in Ikoyi, Lagos and the one in Abuja.

You have lawyers, real ones and Internet lawyers, who know all the THIEF Tinubu has THEIF since the time he was born.

But you guys don't know how to write PETITIONS or how to prove your case to get him convicted

How is that TINUBU'S fault bayi, ni tori Olórun ?

5. The LAW expects all Candidates to have BLOOD in their veins and LIFE flowing through them.

They need to be ALIVE AND ABLE TO PERFORM.

The LAW doesn't necessarily expect you to be a Mike Tyson or Bullet Johnson.

You don't have to be a weight lifter or a Marathon runner.

You don't even need to have the capacity or physical Strength to do two press ups on your wife.

That's your wahala.

The LAW only expects you to be of SOUND MIND and able to FUNCTION in the office you vie for.

When he had his issues with KNEE, like any man could have, he TOLD YOU of the Knee Surgery.

Tinubu has been WALKING UNAIDED.

He MOVES FREELY.

He has been to nearly every angles the 36 States in the last 6 months.

He has been working round the clock in ways that a lot of men in their 40s can't manage.

He has his MIND AND BRAINS intact.

The problem you have is that he isn't an Orator like Osinbajo. He isnt running upandan the stadium like Amaechi. He doesn't lie smoothly about China like Obi. He is ever so frank like Buhari.

How do you want him to help you now?

6. The LAW DIDN'T SPECIFY RELIGION for the President and his VICE.

Tinubu has a PASTOR as WIFE.

He goes to his MOSQUE and his wife goes to her CHURCH.

Neither of them have called us to complain of anything concerning Religious differences.

The family has never complained to us.

There is no court cases about them fighting each other over Religion.

It is YOU, the Catholic Man who can never see the Celestial man as a true Christain, who can never tolerate his wife attending C & S or even CAC..

It is the same YOU who is crying over the choice of a Muslim Running-Mate of Tinubu.

The LAW has given you many options.

You can find any combination of CHRISTAIN-CHRISTIAN, CHRISTIAN-MUSLIM, MUSLIM-CHRISTIAN, OLUMBA-MARAHAJI, IGBO-IBIBIO, SÀNGÓ-OYA and make them your Candidates,. Campaign and vote for them.

You can even pick a Hausa and Kanuri Christians are make them flag bearers of your parties.

Simple matter.

It concerns no one.

It's a matter of CHOICE and VOICING YOUR CHOICE THROUGH BALLOT.

You no gree.

You won't do that abi?

You MUST FORCE Bola Tinubu to change his running mate or you will bring down Holy Ghost Fire plus brimstone.

Walahi Talahi a part of your Head is paining you ni.

Lol... you're showing me a letter that can be drawn up by anybody? Like really? Where is Tinubu's credentials according to our electoral laws and Constitution?
Where is his first class certificate? Where is his transcript? Where is his WAEC result, where is his secondary school certificate and testimonial.

What is all this controversy on top of credentials. You are the one to shut up.

olas24u:
Confirmed. Bola Tinubu actually went to school ...So all of you can just shut up!

Is the bar so low in Nigeria? - Every time there is an election campaign this is what we end up debating - whether the guy went to school - This should not even be a question. Is there any difference between an educated person and an uneducated one, If you can't tell the difference, does the certificate then matterhuh?? The real question should be, is this the President Nigeria needs to take it in to the future?

What is the behavior?
What is the temperament?
What is the vision?
What are the plans?
Do the plans make sense?
Who are the beneficiaries of the plans?
What is the track record?
What are the public communication skills ?
What are the accomplishments?
What is his state of health ?
What is the integrity?

For clarity : - I am in no way endorsing Bola Tinubu or APC for that matter. I am just an observer. Thank you

Which law are you quoting exactly.. I'm very sure it's not the same one in the Constitution and electoral act. When has affidavit become a certificate.

There has not even been a proof of a university transcript, duplicate certificate or any other credential to prove he attended Chicago. How can several letters with different letterhead constitute a credential?

Please where is Tinubu's primary, secondary certificate and WAEC certificate? Why all these controversies. Tell your leader to do the needful, Nigeria does not need another affidavit president.

Go and read the law ,he went to university and the university supercedes all you have listed .work experience also qualifies you sef.

Obi has a primary school certificate, secondary certificate, WAEC result, and a 3rd class certificate to show for it. His age and identity is fully disclosed.

So where is your Tinubu's first class transcript and certificate? Or it's first class by mouth or affidavit? Where is Tinubu's WAEC certificate..we are still looking for Buhari's own at least we know Buhari went to primary and secondary school.

Ijoba85:
To hell with primary and secondary certs . Of what significance are they when you already have a big one like degree with a first class ? Respect to you BAT ...You guys bothering this man over nonsense primary and secondary should go and die....Your OBI has 3rd class and you guys are talking , you guys should shut the hell up
PoliticsRe: The Untold Story Of Tinubu's Certificate Saga by peggywebbs(f): 7:12am On Jun 28, 2022
All of this on top of certificate. Why should someone's credentials be controversial when the law specifically states the requirements? Are you saying some people are bigger than the law?

If other candidates don't have such issues and only one does, that person should be disqualified. How can Nigeria be dragging affidavit presidents about and candidates with health challenges?

Please if you truly love Nigeria, it's better you stop supporting rubbish and let's speak the truth. Stop selling your conscience for peanuts and crumbies. Here is a candidate who will be burdened with Nigeria's growing challenges, and you want to put someone struggling with mental capacity. Take a look at the presidents of leading countries, how fit their leadership are.

A sick president manages a sick country. It's high time you start campaigning for yourself and leading a positive change and growth. People should be held accountable and must be made to fully disclose their identity. How can you put someone whose identity is in question on the highest sit of power. What precedent are you setting, the first was a mistake but what is this?

Emi lo kan? Presidency is not an inheritance, neither do people queue for it. Only competent and intelligent people should lead, we need Nigeria fixed. Stop selling your future and destroying the country for your future generation.

To all those arguing 15, 21 and 22 plus asylum. Apparently this is the other side of the story

Ukpo on Facebook on Saturday, June 25, 2022, shared his side of the story in a post titled, ‘My journey to UK.’

Please they do transfer them outside their state unless they are diocesan priests. There is always an exception even at that. So far he is in Nigeria, he can be taken to anywhere..we have one Catholic church.

wunmi590:
Catholic church doesn't work like that, he can't be transferred out of the dieoces he was ordained, except may be he travelled out for a course or he decided to spend his annual leave in another dioces...

Catholic church is one of the most structured denomination in the whole world....
Christianity EtcRe: Mbaka Supporter Threatens To Kill Bishop, Peter Obi After Church Ban (Vid) by peggywebbs(f): 9:17pm On Jun 20, 2022
This is exactly the right time to do it. The members should be taught not to threaten the church. They shouldn't be allowed to have their way. They will threaten again at another given opportunity..but a solid decision will remind them that there is an authority in the Catholic church. This is the only workable solution.

Victor468:
Perhaps you are right but this timing will be wrong to do that. There is anger amongst his followers now.

They can even move him north but he shouldn't remain in the East or South South region where he is popular. The point is suspension is not going to work, how can a priest be in one place for over 10 years. They transfer other priests regularly to new locations.

That is very not true.. nobody is indispensable. Anyway, not everyone is attached to him as emotionally as his Enugu members. He needs to be moved out of that region. It is normal for them to transfer priests. Keeping him there for this long is the reason for this problem.

There are also other priests in Catholic church that can do exactly what he does. They may not be popular but they are there. The Catholic church does not need him, they are servants of God. Stop exalting them, besides he needs to go into the remote areas. That is where he will be needed more. His members can relocate to the village in the south west, that's their business but the work of God must continue. He must not be allowed to stay in Enugu, if not all this controversy will persist.

SmartPolician:
If you saw the movie, Troy, Father Mbaka is like Achilles (Brad Pitt) in that movie. The church needs his kind of priest because they are in short supply, but he's supposedly playing god.

If you move Mbaka to the remotest part of Nigeria, give him one year, the entire diocese will be coming to that outstation for Mass. grin It's a unique gift. There's no crusade organized by a Catholic priest in Nigeria that records more miracles than those that happen at the Adoration ground.

According to a 2010 Wikipedia statistics, Igbos account for 70% of Nigeria's Catholics. So many Igbos in the East haven't left the Catholic Church today because Mbaka represents what they would have sought in other denominations.
