I'm still trying to understand where Islam is in this thread. And I've answered your question concerning Islam to the best of my knowledge. Unless you're looking for an answer that isn't there or expecting a supposed response. I can't help you. I have said Allah is God... what exactly are you looking for? Maynman: |
I am not an hypocrite, and yes I am a Christian and a researcher. All I know is that the Muslims call Allah God and refer to Him as the supreme creator. As for if it is the same God, I cannot say because I do not agree with their interpretation of God. But for your question, yes it's only one God. But that was not your question..I only answered your question of European religion. Maynman: |
What you need are books. Lots of it and time to study them. They say knowledge is power. Start with the history of Christianity, history of African religion, and you'll understand how everything is connected. Read books about the origin of God, gods and all other entities. The only thing I can tell you is that all traditional religions are connected. All the gods we have in Africa, have a European equivalent eg Sango Vs Thor...Ogun Vs Ares....goddess Diana Vs Oya etc. There isn't any new religion. So when you hear the almighty God...Olodumare..and other names. The point is there is no European religion or white man's religion. We are all creations of God. The other gods also arose during the early times of earth, after Noah, the watchers, nephilims, the annunaki's etc. Like I said go read books, the truth are inside pages. membranus: |
I'm trying to understand what you're saying. Can you expand on your question. Are you hearing voices? Or is something talking to you or telling you to do something? Hope2014: |
Really? Which part did he contribute..is it the Anglican cathedral he built? Or the private hotels and resorts? Or is it the shopping malls? Or you want to tell me he built those houses for people. What exactly did Tinubu do in Lagos to make it great. Last I checked, Lagos was a fast developing commercial city during the era of the colonial masters down to the military government. Apart from agberoism, and tax collection, I don't see where he contributed jack shit. If there's anyone who made any landmark achievement I will give it to Fashola and Ambode. Don't give me the crap of him picking talent, Lagos has a fine breed of intelligent and smart leaders and investors who will not see their resources sink. A lot of private Investors have contributed more than the government in making infrastructure available in Lagos because they are out to make profit. Rest your president agenda and tell that old man to go sip champagne in some island. We don't need him thank you. I don't even like commenting on politics but I couldn't resist, don't bother replying because I won't either. Tinubu is behind the Lagos of today, let’s try not to turn blind eyes to good things |
No I don't need to convince you. Nobody convinced me at all. I usually say something that belief is a strong conviction. You're believe in the non-existence of God is as solid as my belief in the existence of God. If you can't convince me to change my beliefs then I can't convince you either. Every Christian knows that it is the Holy Spirit that has the power to convince people about God. No human on earth can by their ability to it. Conviction is from the Holy Spirit. If you don't experience the Holy Spirit, then you'll keep going back and forth with all of these obsessive arguements. So like I said I'm not going to convince you but I'll tell you live a healthy life and focus on other things that you believe. I expect to see lots of threads about scientific breakthroughs.. you can even join the religion called Scientology, look it up. They are people like you who don't believe in God. Maybe that's where you'll get the answers you're looking for. Workch: |
I don't need to get it and I don't need you to convince me either. It's what you're telling yourself and trying very hard to digest it. Like I said, wait till you're dead, if you don't turn to manure and cease to exist, you will likely have the answers you're looking for. Workch: |
I'm not saying I'm good at this but make of it what you will. I think the message is clear. Jesus Christ has called us to spread the gospel. The bible says in his name we will heal the sick, cast out demons and do many miracles. I think it's simply means you are called to evangelize. The many people, may probably represent the souls you can win, if you do it. That there are many people who are waiting to receive your message or the Good news. Now wanting to disappear means you are feeling overwhelmed by this call or you're just not ready for the responsibility it brings. Well eating fruit is a good thing. From bible reference, Jesus mentions about good fruits. He says a good tree produces good fruits. So if the fruits from the tree are good, then it probably means that you should make sure you continue to stay guided, and that you don't corrupt your fruit. The person shaking it as for that I'm clueless, guess it's just to get your attention that there's fruits on the tree. Destined2lead: |
I really wonder how you can make an argument with your maker. Of what use is this argument, what do you intend to get from it. The truth is whether you believe God exists or not, it changes nothing. You'll eventually find out the truth when you pass on to the next world. However, you won't be able to come back on nairaland to tell anyone. So you can live your life comfortably now that you've fully convinced yourself that Christians are hallucinating and are crazy. It's our belief, but I wonder why you keep opening new topics to argue about the God you don't believe in. Are you expecting He will open an account on nairaland to respond to you? You sound like you're looking for him but I'm sure you'll find him, even after your one millionth thread on nairaland. After he answers those who seek for Him. |
I don't think so. I don't think it's mental health and also don't think its evil spirit. I think people generally have both good and bad sides. Some people exploit their bad sides when they notice the weakness in others. Yes bad foundation can actually have an impact but there's something about toxic people, they draw out particular victims and most of their victims are usually drawn to toxic people. I knew a guy who used to beat his girlfriend. The worst part was we all saw his previous relationship. He never beat the girl instead he treated her like egg. She left him, when they were going to separate places, mutual breakup. The next girl that came was a good girl, kitchen material, home maker and submissive. Worse part was as a girl, this guy somehow was afraid of me, and would even avoid me. But he would readily strip his girlfriend naked in front of his friends and beat her up. It wasn't mental problem or demons, he found it easy getting transfering aggression on her, made her a punching bag because he knew he could do it and get away with it. I knew someone else very dear to me, home maker, wifey kind of person. Although she was known to be tough and in a fight, she will beat me silly. She would even defend me if anyone tries to come at me. But you see, this boy would beat her and all of a sudden she would be a teddy bear in the name of love. The relationship lasted for over 7 years. So when someone tells me it's mental illness or demons, I'll tell the person to suck it. Anyone who beats someone else not their equal derives pleasure in it. They are not sick or mental and they are consciously doing it. Most times they even want to know if their partner has told someone else, because this people always want to maintain image. They will be quick to beg after they have damaged the vulnerable person's bones. They'll be so sweet and nice, and will buy anything they want. The signs are there and many women ignore it. I generally don't rate any man that is overly romantic. Sweet talkers are high on the list, the best bet is to catch a man angry with others and then with you. If you know how normal people react, you will see it. See provoke boyfriend every time, for no reason at all. Just do stuff that will piss them off regularly. They will get to a point where they will break their facade. A real man will be consistent, he will be angry, he will blow up, he will even scream but will never lay a single hand on you. Please if he punches the mirror, breaks plates, growls like a dog, you got yourself a fighter, run like hell. I'm not saying this attitude is limited to men, I'm a woman and that's my view. I've also met the female version of this toxicity and it's much worse than the male version. If a woman exhibits the battering character, she can even go lengths to kill the man. The telltale sign, and also for men is an overly possessive person. Like I said sweet talkers, romantics blah blah. But they must not catch you talking to someone else. They'll monitor your calls, read your messages. Try to get close to your friends so they can get information about your whereabouts anytime they are trying to call you. This people like this 24 hour relationship, so most times ,they will still cut your friends off because you can hardly be alone. Some girls or guys will think it's love. It's not, in fact that a fiery red sign that your in deep shit. So get out. I knew a woman who saw a man talking to a girl and went over to pour hot soup on his head. God saved him, the soup wasn't as hot as intended. Like I said, some people are drawn to toxic people. Now why do I say this, many people don't enter realistic relationships. They are dreamers and are looking for fairy tale. So they fall in love with an idea of a person. So even if they see danger written all over, they will still stay. When they get married to this person, they feel trapped. Why? The first thing someone who beats the shit out of you does, is to lower your self esteem. They make their victims think that it's an opportunity for them to be with them. They paint an idea that they can't get better love outside. Many times and all of the times, they will breakdown and play the victim with their partners, putting the blame on them. Sweet talkers will convince you to believe that it's all your fault to begin with. They will blame their childhood, they will say their working on their anger issues, they will blame anything and then this vulnerable person, will have pity on them. Hoping that they are the only ones that can change them or make them a better person. You see there's no way you can make a victim of abuse see reason to leave. They have lost all sense of reason. Infact they are the real ones with the mental illness because reasonable people will wonder what the hell. Another uncomfortable truth is abusive people are good in bed. Infact they boast of their sexual prowess. I'm not sure if this is the reason the partner stays, I haven't investigated up to that point. But it's certainly one of the reasons because after a good battering, they tend to use sex to keep the person locked under them. Some of the people I've talked to encountering abuse, usually smile when you talk about sex. It's not like all guys or girls that have an exceptional sexual performance are abusers, but it's part of their traits. Another thing about this people is that they are the least you expect to display such fowl behaviour. They know how to camouflage, their behaviour. People who are discerning like me, can smell them from a mile away. Maybe because I'm generally critical of people or because I grew up in a home of abuse (parents). So it's really easy spotting them, I've met a couple and don't even give them a chance. There's other signs, but trust me it's not mental. It's just the raw side of humans. Everyone has the tendency to abuse people especially vulnerable people. However, many people don't act on their feelings. There are some people that will annoy you that you'd want to press their face against the wall, but you don't do it. Some people don't put this restraint and they let the animal out. P.S If you trace the history of an abusive person's relationship, you will see that it is not all women or men they hit. I guess some people are just terrible for each other, and will likely bring the worst in themselves. Then we have the Christian women who follow the bible to the letter. You see when I see them, sorry but I call them foolish. Many Christians believe that marriage is meant to be for eternity and that God detests divorce. They will pray and fast hoping to change their partners. This is especially common with women. Let me tell you something if you're in this boat. God will not consider you a victim of oppression, no he won't even blame the other person. You see, no matter how hard they hide their problems at home, Holy Spirit will expose the truth to someone around them, even if their husband is a pastor. But this people will not listen to anyone. They'll hold on to the fact that nothing is impossible for God. I know someone who kept praying that their husband will quit smoking, become responsible and stop abusing them. They prayed for years, but you see it didn't happen. Why? It's not that God doesn't answer prayers, but what that person was praying for, was for God to change their partner. You should realise that everyone has a free will, which mranyou they either make a choice to be good or bad. God doesn't make these decisions for men, he won't change anyone's character to suit another person. It's a decision that person has to make themself. God also does not hate divorce as many people preach. What he doesn't like is infidelity, when people cheat the other partner and break their vow. If the marriage is not good for your mental, physical or emotional health, He will encourage you to leave it. So please if you've been spending time praying for a changed partner, you should change your prayer point. You should be praying that God protects you and your kids, and remove your enemy, who wants to steal, kill and destroy your soul. You should be praying to God to help you as you get out of that bad relationship. God does not nurture or sustain a bad thing. If something is bearing bad fruits, you should cut it off. That's what Jesus did with that barren tree. He cut it off. You shouldn't keep a damaging relationship, or marriage. It never ends well. . I'm not a marriage counselor yet, maybe I'll take it up in the nearest future. However, I've studied people so well that I can easily read them as a book. So if you can connect with anything I've mentioned. Even if you've been in the relationship for 12 years, or married with 9 kids, it's never too late to get out. God loves you and everyone deserves to be loved. A person who loves you will never hurt you. Love does not cause pain, it is kind and patient. Have a wonderful week and may God help you get out of a terrible relationship. You should start praying and getting out at the same time. If you have an abusive partner that, is around you get the police. Call your family, let them help you hire a lawyer. You can even meet lawyers in your church. Don't listen to anyone who wants to talk sense to them. The cycle will continue to repeat itself. rightdata: |
Sourcehttps://threadreaderapp.com/thread/1512804018220937228.html: Richard Tiffin Before the war started, Zelenskyy refused an offer for peace. Russia required 3 things; 1) Water in Crimea: no water was destroying the economy there. 2) Minsk 2 imposed: peace for the people of Donbas, within Ukraine, but greater autonomy. 3) Ukraine to remain neutral: no NATO. Liberal discussion of 'sovereignty' in a world of Great Power Geopolitics is fair, but pointless. In the world we actually live in, rather than the world we'd like to live in, there are plenty of reasons for Russia to have taken this position. Read this. To prevent war and secure Ukraine, make Ukraine neutral — Defense Priorities https://www.defensepriorities.org/explainers/to-prevent-war-and-secure-ukraine-make-ukraine-neutral Zelenskyy actually increased the provocation against Russia in January 2022 by; 1) Intensifying the bombardment of Donbas 2) Threatening to retake Crimea 3) A group of Republican congressmen intended to introduce a bill declaring Ukraine a NATO-plus country. The die was cast. Russia inevitably invaded. The important questions are; 1) Why did Zelenskyy increase provocations when Biden said "Putin has to do something"? 2) What will happen now? Zelenskyy pushed because he's a US puppet, a tool in the Great Game that's been played for 100's of years. The latest iteration of the Game has of course been planned for some while. US sponsorship of the 2014 coup; the training and arming of a huge army of 600,000 led by ultra nationalists; ignoring the horrors of Donbas. These and many other clues are there, questions to answer. The plan was made public in late 2021 when Elbridge A. Colby published The Strategy of Denial: American Defense in an Age of Great Power Conflict. The Great plan was for a moral proxy war. Support for the little nation whose sovereignty had been impinged. This would justify an endless supply of arms to fight Russia, coming from some of the wealthiest nations in the world. The clincher? Not a drop of US or European blood will be spilt, other than Ukranian, and the nationalists wanted it. The US could fight to the last Ukranian. The Great Game isn't really Russia, they are a small, though important player. A collapsed nation and neo-liberal reconstruction would be very profitable of course. All those lovely commodities. Yum yum! No, the real target is China. They're the US global peer competitor. By most every economic metric China has surpassed, or is about to surpass, the US. China are also the second largest military spender. The US retain one important power, control over the global financial system, bringing the benefits of a reserve currency and one more thing. The power to decide against whom, why, how, and when to impose sanctions. As president Woodrow Wilson said of sanctions, “Apply this economic, peaceful, silent, deadly remedy and there will be no need for force.” Whoever controls sanctions controls the world. This brings us on to the real reason the US is acting against Russia now, why Zelenskyy pushed on to the inevitable consequence. China is in the process of forming an alternative global financial system. They already have an alternative to SWIFT, the interbank payment system. What is worse, from a US perspective, Chinese currency is more solid, has greater value. Its been argued many times the US dollar is propped up by being the reserve currency, by people holding dollars, else its vast QE programme and huge public spending deficit would haunt it. China has no QE programme, no deficit, in fact it has huge reserves and a massive economy. In short, if the Chinese global financial system took over, if ever more banks join and use CIPS rather than SWIFT, the US has had it. It becomes what Britian drifted into. A sad island dreaming of a glorious past and lost opportunities. Why? Because the US would no longer be able to impose sanctions. So, China must be stopped and Russia via Ukraine is the first step. Next, this little nation with her sovereignty impinged strategy will be Taiwan. In the world of Great Power Politics China will be provoked to act as Russia did, by force of arms, when Taiwan declare independence. That begins my answer to question two, what next? The US is shocked that Russia is winning the war against an army 3 times its size. Very soon Russia will have achieved its objectives, a buffer zone, water to Crimea and peace in Donbas. They will withdraw and invite the UN to come in and keep the peace. Ukraine will have lost hugely. Crimea, Donbas and perhaps more will not be autonomous Ukrainian. They will be independent states of the Russian Federation. Ukraine will also be neutral. Its clear NATO have no intention of fighting Russia directly, so they will drop the provocation when Russia achieve their aims an withdraw. But the US has now over reached. There will be consequences. The worst one, from a US perspective, they have actually sped up the alternative global financial system. Russia has been forced to trade outside of the dollar and nations are buying. Gas, oil, wheat, fertiliser, etc, all commodities the world needs. Russia has also backed its currency with gold at a guaranteed price, how long before the Yuan joins suit? What is more, most nations of the world didn't sanction Russia. They might bide their time before risking the wrath of the US by buying oil etc. in roubles, but they will. They will want to get their national reserves out of dollars after watching on in horror as Russian reserves were seized. They'll prefer a Chinese 'law based system' to US whims in a 'rule based system'. All they need is confidence. Unfortunately, this increases tensions. The US will now be in a hurry in this race against time. As in the case of Pakistan and the removal of Khan, it will want to show little nations of the world it's still the big bully in town. She will want to frighten them from daring to use roubles and CIPS. Worse yet. This will push forward the Taiwan provocation. That's why Australia, New Zealand, South Korea and and Japan were invited to the NATO ministers meeting over the past two days. They will be getting the heads up over Taiwan. The notable thing of this meeting is India's absence. Modi has clearly thrown his lot in with China and Russia, so he was snubbed, despite being a key member of the soon to be defunct Quad. China and Russia are aware of the plan, which explains why Russia made such excellent preparations against the harshest ever sanctions. How they will counter the Taiwan provocation? Will President Tsai have second thoughts now she saw the consequences in Ukraine? How quickly will trade transfer to CIPS? These are the questions for Crystal balls. But the answers hold the question to all our futures, to WWIII. You got this far, thank you for your perseverance. Please take four and a half minutes more and listen to this. This was for thr invasion of Iraq, but it still resonates. Most fascinating thing about the Ukraine war is the sheer number of top strategic thinkers who warned for years that it was coming if we continued down the same path. No-one listened to them and here we are. Small compilation of these warnings, from Kissinger to Mearsheimer. The first one is George Kennan, arguably America's greatest ever foreign policy strategist, the architect of the U.S. cold war strategy. As soon as 1998 he warned that NATO expansion was a "tragic mistake" that ought to ultimately provoke a "bad reaction from Russia". Then there's Kissinger, in 2014 ⬇️ He warned that "to Russia, Ukraine can never be just a foreign country" and that the West therefore needs a policy that is aimed at "reconciliation". He was also adamant that "Ukraine should not join NATO" Ukraine is the battlefield chosen by US/NATO for its long-planned war with Russia. This This was made clear by NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg at a press conference earlier today. He stated: 1/ "Since 2014, Allies have trained Ukraine’s armed forces, and significantly strengthened their capabilities. They are putting that training into practice now, on the front lines, with great bravery. In the last months, Allies have stepped up military support. 2/ "Providing anti-tank and air defence systems, drones, fuel and ammunition. As well as financial aid." Stoltenberg made no effort to conceal NATO's massive buildup of Ukrainian military forces over the last eight years. 3/ Big Arrow War—a primer. For all those scratching their heads in confusion, or dusting off their dress uniforms for the Ukrainian victory parade in Kiev, over the news about Russia’s “strategic shift”, you might want to re-familiarize yourself with basic military concepts. 4/ Maneuver warfare is a good place to start. Understand Russia started its “special military operation” with a severe manpower deficit—200,000 attackers to some 600,000 defenders (or more). Classic attritional conflict was never an option. Russian victory required maneuver. 5/ Maneuver war is more psychological than physical and focuses more on the operational than on the tactical level. Maneuver is relational movement—how you deploy and move your forces in relation to your opponent. Russian maneuver in the first phase of its operation support this. What's really behind conflict in Ukraine - a thread The U.S. is engaging Russia in three wars. Let me discuss them in increasing order of importance and the likely repercussions on the U.S.-led global order. The first is the military war taking place on the ground in Ukraine. Then there is the propaganda war taking place at Western media outlets like CNN and on social media platforms like Twitter. Finally, and most significantly, there is the economic war which may accelerate the destruction of the US-led power structure that has dominated the world since the end of World War II. Does anyone remember media or Twitter 'blue ticks' talk about sovereignty, to send arms to resist, when Yugoslavia was bombed? Afghanistan? Iraq? Libya? Syria? Yemen? So, what makes the Russian invasion of Ukraine different? Clearly, sovereignty isn't the defining feature. In every example I gave here sovereign nations were attacked. What about cruelty of the regime? 14,000 have died in the East, in Dombas, largely killed by Ukranian forces. Was it about weapons of mass destruction? We know that there are biolabs in Ukraine and tons of missiles. Perhaps the regime pose a threat to world order? Have you seen the fascists in the Ukranian regime, the barbarity with which they treat Russian 'orcs'? For all we know people committing those atrocities are from the 'Foreign Legion' and will be returning to Western Europe. Colby wrote, The Strategy of Denial: American Defense in an Age of Great Power Conflict The book outlines how Russia and China can be provoked with their 'red lines'. For Russia it was Ukraines NATO membership and threat to retake Crimea. For China its an independent Taiwan. We can understand or work with big power politics, 'Realist International Relations', or we can suffer the inevitable consequences. This paper provides an excellent analysis of cause and consequence of big power red lines and what to do about them. defensepriorities.org/explainers/to- To paraphrase Colby's argument. US encourages nations to inflame red line tensions, provoke a reaction, then, when it comes, take the moral high ground, finance an endless proxy war whilst populations wave Ukranian and Taiwanese flags. I bet Colby cannot believe his success. Another strategy of the media is to change the narrative over time. Its only when one returns to read contemporaneous articles that it's clear just how stories the media present us change. Back in 2014, just after the coup in Ukraine, there were spontaneous seperatist movements. As this article shows, at the time there was even fears that Ukraine could descend into civil war. I read accounts how the Ukranian army were driven out of Mariupol and it was retaken a month later by Azov and Dnipro-1 when they were still militia, before they were made official. Now the narrative is one of Russian invasion and annexation of Crimea and Donbas and the referenda held were under the barrel of Russian guns. Little mention is made of how 'volunteer police forces' full of fascists, such as Tornado, used murder and violence to intimidate. Earlier I tweeted about a lack of objectivity in our media, here's an example. A missile hit a railway station in Kramatorsk as crowds of people attempted to board trains to escape the city in anticipation of a Russian advance. There are images of identifiable missile fragments Ukraine claim it was a brutal attack on civilians, Zelenskyy said; "Lacking the strength and courage to stand up to us on the battlefield, they are cynically destroying the civilian population. This is an evil that has no limits. And if it is not punished, it will never stop". Russian defence ministry have claimed they have not used missiles of the type the fragments suggested for some time. Perhaps Russia's claim is verifiable, I don't know, but one might imagine that media objectivity would at least have Russia's statement in a news item. Efforts continue to provoke China to take action against Taiwan and threaten her if she does so. Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson was bellicose. Calling it an "attempt to confuse public opinion and profit from the chaos. This is playing with fire". fmprc.gov.cn/mfa_eng/xwfw_6 The Chinese response comes because of what China views as a "handful of seperatists" in Taiwan and the US "colluding with each other". The spokespersons comments were in response to a question from a press member following comments made by two senior government officials. Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen and Deputy Secretary of State Wendy Sherman both warned againt China taking action against independence efforts taken by Taiwan. Let's hope sense prevails, but China views Taiwan independence as a red line, which is why the US are engaged. Provocations against China will continue to rachet up. Just weeks before Moscow's invasion of Ukraine, China and Russia signed a joint statement agreeing to a host of foreign policy goals, including Taiwan being "an inalienable part" of the mainland. All good so far. This was against a background of a 2016 election where Tsai was elected as "President of the Republic of China". As you can see, the office title shows that Taiwan is part of China. But in power Tsai has been a little more challenging, moving toward Taiwan's independence. Tsai argued that China should “face reality” and “review” its current policy toward the de facto nation that Beijing claims is part of its territory. Clearly, a rhetorical move toward independence. Despite the US/China declaration regarding Taiwan's status, Pompeo next. |
Putin is a narcissist, but certainly not as corrupt as Zelensky. However, the issue on ground has nothing to do with corruption but the West's invasion of Russia. If you think this war is about Ukraine and Russia, think again. Zelensky is only being paid to act. It's a power tussle of the superpowers USA, Germany, Russia, and China. Nothing is as it seems, the US playing Ukraine good Russia bad, is just its usual media war and propaganda. Techguy96: |
Lol...another conspiracy. Even the west never claimed put in bombed his people. The attacks where caused by militants. There have been many people who were assassinated suspiciously and here you are thinking one man makes that many number of people disappear. Even if Putin is out of the way, it wont stop the west from hating Russia. You're building your defense on a conspiracy that hasn't even been proved. When there are countless materials on Ukraine's corruption and criminal activities. If one man defending his people is bad, I wonder where your sense of morality is. Like I said, when all these is over, get ready to lick your wounds. The crimes of Ukraine is enough to document in over a hundred books, continue. Techguy96: |
I hope when all of this is over, all those who tagged us Putin Urchins will humbly accept defeat. Because at the end, logic will win over your sentiments. If you think Ukraine is coming out winning in all this, you're joking. Putin is in his right mind, Putin isn't working alone and all of these decisions are backed by Russia. One man is not a country, at the end all of the weapons sent to Ukraine, will still be used for their criminal operations. If you think Ukraine, is a saint go look up all the stories of the so called hero Zelensky by the western media. Ukraine is the most corrupt country in Europe and the poorest at that. They are home to human trafficking, organ harvesting, slavery, drugs and all unthinkable criminal activity. It's also home to the Neo-Nazi's the new brand of Nazis. Before Putin's attack, there was an eight year war going on the country, where they committed war crimes. Anyway, keep reading sensational headlines and following herd mentality. Putin's urchins work with history, reason and reality. We won't shift our ground especially when we know what the outcome of all this will be. VictorUSA: |
Really? You think that's how international law and politics works? No country has any legal right to spend another country's money, you're asking for world war. Sanction and Freezes yes, but not spend. That money will remain and even yield interest. Russia will collect every penny back. Nigerians be fighting Ukraine-Russian war like Call of Duty. If only they know how much propaganda they've been fed by the US. You still think they are a superpower? I naf I naf. Anyway, Russia and China are ready for them. US used it's hands to create its enemies. There's no amount of propaganda that can cover their weaknesses anymore. The new world order is set, it's the strongest that would be on top. By the way, I still maintain, na we go still suffer am. Diesel is still expensive by the way, don't think Russia is getting broke at all. |
Okay, anyway I'm continuing with my research. KnownUnknown: |
I understand your grievances against religion. However, I don't agree with your sentiments that because some parts have been corrupted means that the entire existence of God is also questionable. There's something I've learnt of late, that to consolidate belief, one must first unlearn everything he knows and then begin to learn again with new eyes. I don't take everything I'm told hook line and sinker. I believe in research and currently that's what I'm doing. I'm reading both comfortable and uncomfortable truths of Christianity. It is true that the religion has been corrupted over the years due to power, greed, selfishness and many other reasons. However, I believe God is very much real and near us. If you encounter him personally, you will know it. So I'm still reading and it's a whole lot of material. Including the religious wars, and the corrupt popes and all that dark age when Christians when underground. Especially all the deleted, hidden and other materials. If you're curious like me, I'll suggest you start reading too. Don't be lazy by watching a few documentaries and listening to people who misinterpret data to convince you there's no God. I'm Catholic but I still don't feel comfortable with this logo. But I did some digging. Apparently the eye is the all seeing eye of God (Eye of Providence) and it apparently has some triangle over it that depicts trinity. I don't like symbols naturally and not even one that has been dominated by freemasonry. If the original idea of the eye logo was Christian, unfortunately it has been corrupted and I'll very much not go to that church because of the logo alone. My Catholic church doesn't have it, if they put it, I'll go to another. If they all adopt it in all, then I'll just stay home in my usual manner. But that symbol creeps me out. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eye_of_Providence https://www.catholic.com/qa/gods-all-seeing-eye-isnt-masonic |
Where Lagos? Cos I've heard there are different Catholic churches these days. Some of the priests are divided and we've been hearing some shady stuff about them. That symbol is seriously creepy and who's the old man over the eye. It looks occultic. Unizikbuynasell: |
Please what church is this? Unizikbuynasell: |
It's not nice..why are you being mischievous. You should have started from verse 1. That scripture was talking to King Cyrus. God was going to bless him. It's clear Treasure in dark secret places. Where do they mine gold diamonds and even oil. It's in the ground, its dark and secret, hidden in the earth. That's your answer. Please don't do money ritual or blood money... that's a sin you can never come back from. umtitibaba: |
Sometimes I wonder what unreligious people do in the religious section of nairaland. If you don't believe in God or religion and all. What are you doing here? There's politics, science, agriculture section and even health. But your concern is the hallucinations of religious people. I came to a religious section to seek religious answers based on my beliefs. I even put a disclaimer up saying if you're an atheist, I don't need your opinion. But you couldn't resist the temptation to tell me I'm illogical, need therapy or some other whatever. Please learn to read, if someone says they don't want your comments just look for something else to do. Leave the hallucinations, illogical reasoning of religious people alone, it's what we believe and we are content with it. Thank you. truthCoder: |
I have a problem with people who don't read disclaimers and still talk about therapy. Have you considered you need therapy for reading instructions and paying attention to details? I said atheists observe. It was quite simple ...go back. By the way I slept well Good morning. truthCoder: |
I don't think any of this is enough to make you sign out. You've been through hell yes..but it should make you stronger. Stop wallowing in your pain and start thinking ahead. Look at it like this. When you have a cut on your leg, it will hurt like hell. But if you can stop the bleeding, and care for the wound it will gradually heal up. That's how you treat problems. Look beyond the pain and let your survival mode kick in. Nobody has loved ones. It's your duty to love yourself. If you can't love yourself how do you expect others to love you. You want to sign out and leave your mama? I don't think there's any better way to say it. Can your mama rely on you as a loved one? If you leave, will it make her better or worse? Think on it and then pick your pieces up and start mending yourself. BIEBER45: |
No I'm too lazy to read my Bible. Although I enjoy discourse on religion. I haven't been to church this year...not even watch night. I also love horror movies, not into fantasy or magical stuff. Though I like me some sci-fi. I'm super in love with Iron Man and Captain America's butt. lilvicky68: |
Thanks for your suggestion and input. I sleep fine on a King Size and I don't have nightmares. At least not since I was a little child. I'm eating well too and I don't have malaria. I don't certainly don't go near drugs so it can't be hallucinations. Thanks anyway truthCoder: |
Okay I'm seeing it taking shape. It makes sense because there was one I saw not too long ago. I was in a place like a cave. It looked very ancient with lamp like reflection. Like a time way before electricity was invented. When I looked around, I saw an image on the wall of the cave. It looked like something someone scribbled with a nail or some sharp object. It was like a dragon snake with many heads. I didn't count but then someone said to me... he's coming. I'll write another I saw... maybe you can help make sense of it thank you IrepChrist: |
Food is not my problem. I'm trying to lose some weight but I can't even fast. Malaria I treated over three weeks ago. I also don't do drugs. I'm not an alcoholic either. Is there another reason I don't know? lilvicky68: |
Thank you. I think this could be it. I really had some obstacles not too long ago. It was a tough fight but by God's grace I was able to pull through. Truvelisback: |
Well, I'm a writer, I've thought of writing some fantasy stuff, based on some of my dreams. I'll put that into consideration thanks. incandescentena: |
