Biometrics: 01/02/21 (Walk in-Monday)
No Decision mail, immediately I saw my status changed to @ VAC, I couldn't wait any longer & started heading to TLS
While in transit,
Collection mail: 09/02/21
Another mail again after 30mins from TLS, I almost passed out & didn't open the second mail (thinking bad stuffs) till I collected my Passport o. So, I got 2 collection mails.
Picked up: 09/02/21 (Opened passport & realized it was issued since 5th).

Priority: Ikeja TLS.

Landed 14th @ Heathrow & boarded my connecting flight to Glasgow.

Questions @ POE: What am I here for in the UK? Studies... What would you be studying? M.Sc ...
N.B. We were both looking eye-ball to eye-ball while she asked those questions.

My application process

I applied July 19, 2020, did my biometric August 6, 2020, and got first refusal August 26. I applied for administrative review on the same day we got the refusal.
I got a successful AR 28 days after I applied and my case was referred back to the original case working team for my case to be reassessed. I waited for over two months after AR decision (sep 23 - dec 2) after two escalation and got another refusal stating that my 20 million is equivalent to 4K pounds�. I was mad, sad and depressed all together. I did another administrative review pointing out the error, replied the email that sent the refusal decision Cc: compliant and ICI of ukvi and Boader Agency.
On the evening of December 3 I got a mail from the email that sent the decision stating I was right and they will get back that I do not have to apply for another AR. I was excited and felt it was finally over.
Dec 9, I got a mail from complain stating that they are upholding my complaint and I will be called for another interview. Dec 14 got mail for interview for Dec 15 which they did and God came through and the interview was okay.
After waiting for another 5 days (dec 21)without a response from ukvi, I sent another mail stating a case of prejudice against me and my family to work and study pdc, interview, complain and ICI.

December 22 around 9:35pm Uk time for an overturned decision� and a link to pay IHS will be sent. Thinking that was the end, we got the IHS link for the last dependent January 15 after plenty call and email.

We finally got visa on Thursday February 4, 2021.

It was not easy at all. The process took us 6 months of pressure from work, school and UKVI.
God actually gave us the wisdom and strength to endure and keep pushing.

If you can wait and be ready for the trouble UKVI will give (never get surprised) go for the administrative review

I hope this will help someone take an informed decision and you can also ask me any questions.

I guess employment varies, some is 2 weeks while some it's 1 Month

Online application (Standard)3rd December 2020.Biometrics done 14th December,2020 and then the most frustrating wait ever began.Got a non straightforward mail on the 8th January 2021.mailed them the following week and my application was escalated but days later nothing was forthcoming and so i emailed again.Again,nothing!Got a second non straightforward mail on the 22nd of January and immediately got another email that an ECO had requested an interview with me scheduled for 28 of January.On the said day,a call came in around 12noon and i was GRILLED for almost 2hours.I was asked all the questions of this world and was at a point asked to even SPELL the name of my chosen school.It was HELLISH but i managed to keep calm and answer the different questions as best as i could.Yesterday the 2nd of feb i got a decision and collection mail both from tls.went there this morning..lo and behold my Visa was waiting.declared one uk refusal and one usa refusal.declared the countries i have been to and didnt lie in my application.my one cent to anyone applying is STAY CLEAR of standard applications if you no get mind.it was a very trying and frustratin period.All thanks to GOD ALMIGHTY and to everyone here on the platform.you guys are the real MVPs.WHAT GOD CANNOT DO DOES NOT EXIST TRULY!!!

My passport is a virgin passport which means I have never travelled out of Nigeria

There is no requirement that someone has to be currently employed to apply for EE. It is up to her whether she wants to resign or not. She needs to make sure she has all the necessary documentation to prove the 3 years work experience though - that is what is important to IRCC.

So, Jum is currently employed but wishes to resign before applying for EE process. Can Jum resign & be unemployed while she apply for EE, even though she will be claiming a 3years work experience for the same job role? Well-done every one for helpful information provided on this platform. I was denied CAS by my school for January intake after meeting all their condition of offer, including payment of 50 percent payment of school fees and providing TB certificate. Their reason was that I have high refusal record with the immigration. Please kindly advice on my next step of action and also how can I correct my TB certificate since the school address is already on it. For the school fees, they had already sent me a refund application form to fill which I had done already. Am really down thinking of next action. I really want to join January or February intake. I have all the requirements ready.

Maybe you should declare it.

Your half brother would have always declared your dad during any application made to UKVI and vice versa so there's a connection if they decide to do some digging as you will fill parent details.

If he's British, the form only ask for his names and nationality (No passport number required). And under 'Extra Information' on the form, you can say you are incommunicado, have no info about him and have not communicated for donkey years blah blah blah.

Yes declare him for sure ..... put what you know. What you dont know you can leave blank . If there a section for explanation then put you havent been in contact for over xx no of years

There no problem with honesty ( families dont have to be in best terms) , the problem UKVI have is with dishonest / false declarations that can cause a problem......

If it’s me I’d say No with my full chest. The fact that someone bears the same last name as you but in your own words is a brother in name only (not in deed) is not enough for me to declare on any Visa application. In fact it sounds like you’ve never spoken to him. Issa No for me. So under immediate family I’d say No. Under extended family/people I know I could say yes. And even here if mainly be referring to everyone else including him.

Ask yourself this, if the Visa office asks you to provide any information about him can you? The answer should be able to guide you.

My question now is if to declare him in my Application or not. I wanna be very transparent in my Application but he has never acknowledged me as a Sibling, me too same, feeling is mutual, i'd say we are incommunicado & I don't even know the City he is now, we just don't talk....
