I don't blame the scammers scamming people on here. If you are a writer, develop your portfolio, then go outside there on freelance platforms and hustle for high paying clients. For how long are you going to be collecting the shitty pay these outsourcers offer you?

I used to think like you until i saw a close relative get paid $100 for an article for a foreign tech company who is now retaining him, but before he got the package, he sent pitches on a daily basis to different companies for quite sometime.
Am not saying it's easy but it requires time and effort.
So my guy, money dey writing but to get am no easy but that my relative dey inspire me and i go reach dat level by the grace of God this year.hehehhehehe my fellow writers we go blow this year and leave those scammers behind witj their 1k job

No doubt, the guy is a certified Scammer.. He goes about with different Nairaland Monikers like Fidelmalek and IamVj. The latter moniker is what he uses to source for adult content writers. The painful part is that the guy will continue giving shameful excuses of being busy. I just hope appropriate measures are taken to curb this wicked act of not paying writers on Nairaland.

if he is the IamVj guy den na God save me. Guy messaged me some days ago saying vacancy open like say na chevron work.
He sounded arrogant and i didn't like his vibes and the work sef na error.
I just rejected it, how pesin go dey offer me job of less than 2k with so much shakara, when when i dey see some writers collect 30k for 500 word article.

Reminds me of one incident that happened May 24 1997. Till this date I remain confused. I got back from work as usual in Ikotun, Lagos only to find people gather in front of my gate. Others were upstairs at the balcony condoling my landlady. News reached my outlandish self that my landlord had passed on earlier. He died of natural causes in his car.

Strange enough, earlier that morning, he was acting unusual. This man would always call me to assist him open the gate anytime he's going out. That morning he never did that. His corpse was brought home later that day. Days later he was buried in that same compound in my presence. I saw the body with my two eyes.

Fast forward to 3 months, I was at a chemist shop buying a drug. The shop happened to be opposite an ashawo house. As I was about paying for my goods, I saw my landlord carrying a prostitute in. I was far away and dumbfounded. I called his name. He looked back and gazed at me with an angry look I've never seen before. Then like a fart in the wind he disappeared into thin air. I was so curious and decided to trail the hoe. She confessed a man fitting my description approached her for an all nighter sex romp. She said she entered her room to change her cloth, get her bags and follow the man home. All this done she came out and her customer was nowhere to be found again. Others complained of hearing someone banging the gates at midnight. The dogs howling and happy for no reason like they've seen a long lost owner. Some even confessed to seeing a bald headed man sitting quietly on that grave at night. For two good years before I finally parked out, I always made sure I get home by 7PM latest , lock all my doors and refuse to be woken by any strange noise until day break.

Now we know where your madness comes from.

Post it on a medium.com account or any other free portfolio site, just like a facebook for writers...e go dey official..looking.
When potential clients come calling..just refer them to that sample on dat site.. at least small respect go dey hehhehehe

Thanks for the advice, bro. It is quite annoying to create a piece with so much effort and get scammed at the same time. That is why i like the small projects. Better to be scammed with a five hundred article than an ebook of 15,000 words.

Just a suggestion, i don't know if there is way to do this with ebooks but what i do is that when i sense a scam, i upload my article on medium or any article publishing site, using it as a sample, you never can tell, maybe it might be your ticket to bigger projects.

Really sorry about what happened to you, but could you put his details here so that his scamming days will be brought to an end and yeah spoil em market for the yeye pesin.
