News emerged on the alleged tearing of the Peoples’ Democratic Party membership card by former President Olusegun Obasanjo.
Our source who spoke recently to the aide of the former President of Nigeria in Abuja, Nigeria said Chief Olusegun Obasanjo did not openly tear his PDP membership card as widely reported by the Nigerian press.
Recall sometime in 2015, the ex-president while speaking at the Global Education and Skills Forum, (GESF) in Dubai, the United Arab Emirate, said he did not tear his PDP membership card adding that he is not aware, maybe somebody else did it if the story that made the rounds then was anything to go by.
According to the former President, ” “I didn’t openly tear my PDP membership card; somebody else tore it because I said to him, ‘Here is the card, do whatever you like with it.
“If you like keep it; if you like tear it, if you like burn it. Here it is because they say it is giving them concern and they don’t know what is happening.
”I did that to prove to them what is happening; I could not have torn the party’s membership card.”
This is in wake of the alleged threats made by Nigeria’s literary giant , Prof Wole’s Soyinka to tear his American Green Card if Donald Trump wins the US presidential election.
Obasanjo’s aide faulted the threat adding that it amounts to a criminal offence which is not only actionable but also punishable that is capable of earning Soyinka a custodial sentence if the threat is by any act of omission or commission carried out.
Speaking further, our source produced a photograph of the former president where he publicly displayed his PDP membership card saying that Obasanjo though no longer an active member of the former ruling party did not tear the party’s property knowing full well what it would amount to.
On the contrary, pictorial evidence in the photograph below shows where what looks like the card in contention was actually torn. What is being called in question here, however, is if the damaged property belongs to the former President.

Tales of our weekends
Waking up on Friday morning with a big yawn with the thought of ''thank God is Friday'' no need to pack lunch because lunch hours is closing time today. Entering the office the TGIF thing filter everywhere, we all thumbs up believing today..? No story.
By noon, we all clear our tables avoid the OGAS to avoid die minutes errand. By 12:30, movement begins, someone of us (Muslims) rush to the mosque for jumat. Other claim I need to go fast to avoid hold up in our out- of town abodes. By 6pm we are caught in between 2 houses both to kept vigil. Church and club houses. Eventually you chose the church for your own vigil, I bet you, it won't be funny its C.A.C or MFM. but any PFN ? Its cool. Night clubs.......no sleeping na but ur pocket will inform u later.
Here comes d beautiful Saturday, time to wake up will be decided by where u spent d Friday night. Church vigil..maybe 11am so as to announce to everyone where u were last night but club vigil....9am so dt neighbours won't see u as a bad child. After this, base on single thing, u try to tide up d one-week-messed up-room. Before u no its 4pm. Take a nap Wake up 6pm. Preparation for Sunday service starts, by 9pm u only remember its only tea u had by 4. Hustle to boil something to hold stomach. Its 7am Sunday, I'm about going late or else I miss Sunday school class.
Finally, I'm here at Church. Today is a long sermon day, so service end by 2pm. Meetings begins till 4pm. Finally home to rest for weekend by 7pm, I'm trying to look for Monday shirt to iron for tomorrow work, trying to remember where I fling my laptop bag to on Friday. Now its 9:15pm on Sunday, I'm still wondering if its true I really had a weekend.
Just my thinking sah.

The level of hypocrite in this country is alarming. I can vividly remember the time ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, governor of osun State fails to pay salaries of the state workers, so many platform both social, spiritual and others took upon themselves to blow this man issues. Give him many unprintable names. So many "good Nigerians" came up for donations. But surprisingly, ondo state government had owned workers for 5 to 7 good months and no one is talking about it. Workers had been working for months and had not been paid for their sweats. Where is the state toothless bull dog called NLC, where is Mr common sense? Where is senator who donate trailer load of rice to osun, where is Mr Reno omokri.......I want to ask the state NLC leader how come your members go to work for months without been paid? How do they do it ? That means you people must be thieves, buhari must arrest you all. I'm still wondering why will a sane government decide not to pay salaries. Agreed, the federal allocations is dwindling, what about the IGR ? What about the few ones he got from the FG? What is mimiko doing with all these monies? Or he too his paying loans he took for elections or actually saving for his presidential ambition in 2019.
Abeg God help our leaders realise they lead us because they are fortunate not because they think they are the best.

Lets be realistic. Is it still possible to find most of these gals There voices have been heard. This admin has tried in the area of tackling terrorism, by Gods grace they will keep winning.
