There is no way that fridge consumes 60w, from the sticker it consumes between 150w to 180w, you will also need a voltmeter to see the true voltage readings of the battery, I also don't think that your battery gets fully charged daily as your fridge is on for most of the day. Let the installer bring the charge controller to check things out first. I also see that you have a wattmeter, why don't you use that to see the true consumption of the fridge

Yes, but if the batteries are lifepo4, you calculate with 25.6v for 24v system, which is 25.6v x 200ah= 5120wh

Depends on your budget, OLED or QLED is the best for now, better you go for a brand new if you are willing to spend over 500k, or do your due diligence so as not to fall into scam by searching nairaland for customer reviews if you are opting for uk used

Your system is very ok as it is, just stick to the 50% dod rule, don't let your battery be undercharged for too long, check your water level periodically and you are good to go. Congratulations

Like Zeestone said, most low frequency inverters can handle 3x surge for brief seconds, hybrid 2x for about a second. The difference is that premium inverters can do the above with very low standby consumption, and better efficiency

you are very correct, I have been using my tbb 1.2kva 12v inverter to power a big blender which consumes about 1.3kw at medium speed, albeit for about 4mins intermittently. Reading were done via a clamp meter

Note that every charge controller has a maximum solar power it can accommodate. Since your charge is 60A at 12v system you will need not more than 750w panels.

I have a 12volt lifepo4 with 12v inverter and 6pcs of 250watts panels connected in parallel. I was thinking of changing the connection to 2s3p until I read your comment. The present final output from my panel is around 40v and 35v at my CC which charge my battery to 14.5v. will it spoil my CC if I change the panels configuration ?

depends on your type of cc and specs, is your cc pwm or mppt and what is the make?

When I charged the system, it had less than 3% load and it didn't even last up to 7 hours. I had two ceiling fans on, a standing fan and a fridge. At about 12am last night that I noticed two bars bad dropped on the screen, I decided to turn off the freezer even though I know it's not consuming much energy. Less than 3 hours later, the system was low and was already sounding the alarm.

Now, I'm not sure if the system is fully charged or not. I don't even know how to determine if it's fully charged.

You can get a digital voltmeter to monitor the battery voltage, just make sure you charge the battery fully before you use it again. Your battery voltage on your charge controller should read around 59.2v when fully charged

YOUR OPINION IS NEEDED PLEASE.
We're currently working on getting solar street light installations/maintenance contract from the State Government.
Two things we observed from the previous installations executed by a different company.
1. Inferior/cheap products were installed. The panels attached was not large enough to adequately charge the battery and sustain it till day break. It was even worse in the raining season/the overall weather conditions in our South South Region.
2. Lack of proper maintenance/monitoring.
We're now coming up with two proposals.
1. To install quality solar street light products with at least 2 years warranty and not all these Chinese fake products that float Nigerian markets.
2. To order for lifepo4 cells/panels/inverters and other accessories, assemble them, build sub stations in different locations and use them to power the street light at night. Everything will be taken into consideration including energy saving bulbs/the watts/the number each major street will take to be tallied up with the lifepo4 battery, inverter/panels capacity that will power them throughout the night. Daily maintenance/monitoring will be needed for this.
Please, your opinion is needed here.
Currently, the state government is powering the street lights with diesel generator which I consider to be more costly.

I personally don't fancy using an all in one streetlight for a public project as the maintenance process will be cumbersome, your number 2 option is my preferred choice as building mini substations will be the best choice while installing only lights along the road

Use this, note that this voltage chart is only valid when the battery is under load and not charging, your fully charged voltage should be between 29.6v to 30.0v depending on the battery specification

I have six 250W solar panels connected in series/parallel to a PWM charge controller as shown in the top diagram.


I got an MPPT charge controller but I intend to have the six solar panels connected in series so as to maximize the output of the solar panels.

What is the voc of each panel, make of mppt charge controller and the data sheet, you have to make sure that you are not exceeding the maximum voltage the charge controller can take. Left to me, you previous connection of the panels in 3s2p according to your diagram is okay for a 24v connection unless your new charge controller is the one with high voc.

tubular batteries vent gas when charging, that may be an issue if there is inadequate ventilation in the area where the system is located

You are very correct in your analysis, business should be done based on trust, the mistake the OP did was not going to get the tv immediately he made payment.

I don't use the regulator with mine as it works with only the remote control, you just need to connect the ac input to an ac source, tape the DC input with an electrical tape to prevent a short then connect the wires labeled for the fan head to the motor. I believe you are good to go
