Please I need a Dog for security purposes, I have kids so I dont need something extremely aggressive.

I do need a VERY large intimidating looking dog, one whose Barking sound will scare folks away. I am inclined to buying a GSD.

So what will the house recommend

Lastly, for learning purposes, some Dogs go as high as 350k-500k while same breed goes for 150-200k

What's the difference other than the physical looks

For the first question which is which dog would we recommend for security. We are biased as we are focused on the GSD breed so will advise that. However going into specifics the GSD, when you take your time to pick or you are guided will serve as excellent family dog and also serve as good alarm or alert dog. We must add here 2 issues...temperament and training to be able to fulfill that role effectively. Generally GSDs are good loyal family dogs and when balanced are most suited for family companion (good with kids too) and security alert/alarm. With the right training and careful selection will serve for security purposes effectively. Worklines generally have a higher prey drive although you have showlines selectively bred for higher than normal prey drive for the line which is usually low to medium. They are very intelligent and medium to high easy to train.
On second question on price differentials a lot of things come to play. Pedigree of parents in terms availability/knowledge of the lineage. Titles if any. Health testing if any including that of dogs in its lineage. Color. Coat. Size etc. A combination of these including the breeder's perception of value or worth come to play. We do not rule out scarcity and wrong valuations too as we have also noticed this.
Finally, if you need more advise, concerning a GSD specifically we will be glad to guide you for free in arriving at your making a decision. We hope we were able to be of help.

Depends on various things.
First of all get a briefing from current owner on temperament and other peculiarities. If it is possible for owner to be at the first meeting the dog can observe you two then allow you to feed the dog with him.

If this is not possible, take dog home with a mouth guard. Restrict and be the one to feed it and provide water. This builds trust which you can increase by going for a walk for bond time. It is still young and can easily adapt to you as new leader.

Please my friend and I are planning on paying a good amount for a puppy from these two mastiffs, I don't really know much about mastiff so please I want to know if the parents are good quality ones.

True observation ...but not totally so. Urbanisation and invasion of their natural habitat for development has driven them deeper into virgin areas. If you take a walk in the undisturbed forests or bushes you will find some floating about in their effortless flights.
