Our pups turn 4 weeks today. All 8 of them, 6 boys and 2 girls doing very well. Weaning is almost complete as they start with mashed food. Eat, play and sleep is their motto

Improvised muzzle. Some females can bite the male while mating is going on. This is to prevent same.

We are not bird specialists. We do German Shepherd Dogs (Showline, long coat). However we suspect it is in the parrot or parakeet family. Did you capture it on your farm?

The pups, 8 in all, turn 2 weeks old today. First deworming carried out as pups attempt to stand and walk but then roll over Eyes opening to a squint. May name one of the males tRump vom PERA. He fights through everything. Even deworming him this morning he's grumbling and not willing to open up Never willing to concede.

You may still make reservations towards pups. Only couple of males remain to be reserved.

Hello. Pups should not be on bare floor. Pad with carton pieces or towels.

Please i want you to help me clarify this my personal question,often times ,i do see GSD being categorized into showline and workingline. I personally love the looks of the showline breed,here is my question: can the showline breed also be security top notch,and protect my home?

Usually worklines are more highly strung and have a higher drive than showlines. Drive is an important part of security alertness. However, there are exceptions to every rule as we both know. That is why it is good to ask breeders about temperament of parents if it'll fit for what you intend getting the pup for. If both parents are low to medium drive naturally trying to force out that high strung that is easier with medium to high drives might be like beating a dead horse leading to frustration.

Experienced breeders (GSD) avoid combos that may produce or turn out low drive dogs if they know their clients are not looking for a medium size "snuggle on the couch" showline GSD.

That is totally wrong and whoever that is doesn't know much about dogs. The reason pups still stay with litter mates momma till at least 8 weeks is not just breastfeeding. So much to learn with mates and momma.

Final word ....deal with real breeders.

We hope she is still with her momma and or litter mates cos 5 weeks is not old enough to be away from them. Then on aggression being shown around her food it is actually not a good thing as this will snowball later into more uncontrollable aggressive behavior.

Nipping etc are one of the behaviors that are reduced when pups grow up with momma and mates to at least 8 weeks before they go to new owners. Dog life lessons to be learnt which will be useful for the rest of their lives.

Its been 24 hours since pups were born. They all doing well suckling and sleeping as expected. Dam has been a very good one cleaning and positioning herself for pups. All eight of them have been having a fait share of feeding times.

4 pups have been booked with cash backing. It won't be long before none is available. Only males remain available for booking. Don't be left out from this special end of year litter.

Well....we thought our dam was done. We were all tired by 1pm so supervised a feeding session. We came back now and didn't understand what happened with our Math. She added 2 more pups. Total now 8. Wow

Wonderful dam. She called out around 2am. We checked and went back to bed. She called out again at 2.25am we went over again and in 60 secs she started dropping them one by one. By 4.35am she was done dropping 6 lovelies. Cleaning them all diligently and they started breastfeeding.
