I am a first timer cos this is my very first pup.

I got the puppy 4 days ago.

It is acclimatising itself with it new environment. The friend that I got it from said it has been given it first dose of vasin and dewormed.

I have not really identify the best feed for this pup at this stage cos it is very selective.

My question sir,

When should I give it it next vasin (the first was give like 2 weeks ago when the pup was 5 weeks)?

Can I deworm it again?

Can I deworm it with my baby's medication?

What is the best feed for it at this stage and feeding pattern?

On deworming, the regime should be at 2, 4, 6, 8, 10 and 12 weeks. Subsequently 3 to 6 months intervals should be fine. There ate various dewormers out there. Praziwormer is a popular one. Worm off etc. It is important to use the right dosage. I will advise you meet a vet as you are a new owner.

On vacs, since the first shot was given at 5 weeks, second can be done at 8 and there on 12 weeks when the antirabies will be due. Again contact your vet for best advise.

On feeding a puppy kibble is OK. I may not recommend any specific brand as they have cost differentials. So you may go with what best suits your pocket. On selection so many variables come to play what is affordable and easy to get and how you introduce same to pup. I am careful not to recommend my feeding regime but at 7 weeks our pups do have a mix of puppy kibble, boiled egg, ground dried or smoked fish. They are graduated into raw feeding as they approach 12 weeks. Again do what fits into your pocket and lifestyle.

You asked 2 questions. Will try to articulate answers for you.
1. Based on observations from pics shared which we have further highlighted the reasons as attached in zoomed pics....Yes it is long haired.

2. On purity...that is a long shot. 2 ways you can affirm purity. One is via DNA testing which will give % of purity. Another is if you can verify ancestory to a couple of generations behind the pup. Without at least one of these any guess at purity from a snapshot is an exercise with too many holes ready to be punctured. So i will not make an attempt at that moreso when there are all sorts happening out there and breeders trying to outdo one another just for the buck from a sale claiming purity.

Yes its a long coat .The future coat will depend on whether the two parents are long coats.

Your answer is confusing. It can not be long hair today and turn to short or stock hair tomorrow. Then only parents pics can not totally determine. A lot of long haired GSDs you see today had short haired ones in their ancestory. There was a deliberate attempt along the years to line breed with dominant long haired stock or repeat breedings with long hairs to perpetuate the coat dominance.

@OP the picture is not clear enough to answer. But a mixed hair length combo can produce both long and short hair pups. They will not change from one to the other when they grow up. A couple of things to look out for though...tuft of hair behind the ears, hair flow on posterior of fore limbs and hair in between paws are good signs the pup is long haired. if you do share clearer picture from a good angle (eye level is always better) we may answer better.

It's actually the security guys and the house keeps who take care of the dogs that initated the mating process. They tried and failed. They only called and informed me the bitches were pregnant. Now we have to sell the puppies. Cannot keep more than three dogs in the compound, and there are three already.

OP you can start anew. I see you want to do something good but what you have on offer do not meet the standard of high quality that you claim. Sell or give away both dam and stud if they belong to you. Acquire GSD with traceable ancestory breed them. Start with a good female and use studs from other breeders till you can acquire one. This will put you in good stead. Comments above this are correct. However, we do not invalidate your dream of breeding high quality GSD. Rather we want to support you.

Do not waste your time with this guy. He is a crook. I personally engaged him to reconfirm.

His modus operandi is to tell you payment on delivery but you will pay waybill. Then he will hand you over to a supposed driver who operates with him. 7...8k sent that one will now continue to milk you saying Police stopped him and are now demanding money. You having invested and not wanting to loose it all will part with more money.
He is no breeder and does not even know what he is trying to sell. Simple questions you ask him and he can not provide an answer. Once he knows you are aware he's a scam he will block you.

It might be a reaction to the drugs administered. Secondly your dog is under the Vet's care and there for managing the condition diagnosed. If your dog is reacting to drugs used it should be part of his responsibility to take care of and not demand for more money.

For clarity to poster. First of all we can not even see full pic of pup. Secondly, no pics of parents was posted. Thirdly if you have pedigree details post so one can check lineage. Anyone giving you any feedback on just a head shot is misleading you.

If they can be semi showlines..why not semi worklines. Simply put the semis don't exist. Further more a lot of what is refereed to as worklines are simply mutts and because they do not physically conform to showline are referred to as worklines. DDR, Czech border etc progeny worklines CAN NOT be gotten for 35k to 50k.

We have work and show lines. Sticking to the proper names helps to also inform properly and correctly. It may be overlooked in times past but the earlier we correct the better.
Saying "whatever works" to sell pups is giving up that there are actually guidelines one may follow. That is why we have standard or best practices. Embrace them.
