Sometime ago, I went to see a client who is a tele preacher & owns a church with branches...
I went my uncle though because we were going somewhere from there. Okay these client of mine consulting my firm didn't know I own it they thought I was a representative... I got there, we talked business, signed a deal & just when I was going to take my leave, Mummy GO who bears the title prophetess started her visions & prophecies on me. She said she sees me owning my business just like the firm I'm working for. She said the business won't be in Nigeria but in America, it will be very big and I should be very careful because my boss will be envious of me...

My uncle immediately looked at me, and I smiled. She talked on and I continued smiling. All the while she was talking, Daddy GO was hyping the prophecy and shouting Halleluyah Halleluyah.

Mummy GO again turned and looked at my uncle, saw a vision and prophesied. My uncle who was single then was told to be careful of his wife relations at home. She said so many things and I kept on smiling mischievously.

The thing shocked my uncle that when we left their office, my uncle asked me what just happened there. I said well their god failed to see that I own my business and we laughed out loud.

Ever since then, whenever I go to that church to deliver my services and I see & hear mummy GO prophesying, I simply smile.

Besides I've been to churches where their visions and prophecies are fake. While rendering my services, I smile along because I KNOW. Sometimes I just sit and enjoy the entertainment.

Don't try to confront their lies because you will be tag a demon. You can confront them privately after the programs like I've jokingly done to some pastors.

Hey op, I’m just like you. Started when I was a teen and it would last weeks. Now as an adult, it lasts at most half a day. I can get triggered by someone else’s mood and then I’d feel quite blue till hours later or the next day. Especially if someone I care about is sad, angry, having a bad day and I feel helpless or responsible. The worst part is not the mood for me. It’s the thoughts that I keep ruminating on. Frankly I think it’s connected to ocd. Often people think it’s about being clean when it’s more about anxiety and intrusive thoughts (Google pure ‘o’). What has helped me is reading Stanley Rosenberg book “accessing the healing power of the vagus nerve". The exercises are basic and are designed to get you to engage the sensory nerves and let your brain know that it’s ok, it moves you from flight, freeze or fight state to a more engaged relaxed state. Sometimes your mood swings are caused by emotions or trauma stored in the body. It’s not just when your life is physically threatened that you get traumatized. Sometimes chronic stress, repressed emotions etc get stored and eventually affect the body. There’s a whole branch of medicine that deals with how our mind and its state affect our physical health eg psychoneuroimmunoendocrinology, etc. if you are not like me and do not enjoy reading medical books for fun ( it does get technical in the book above), Google Rosenberg basic exercise (takes two minutes max and relaxes me), the polyvagal theory, vagus nerve exercise and even somatic meditation. Check all these on YouTube instead for visual learning and excellent demonstration. Somatic meditation can be done for less than fifteen minutes and just helps shift your awareness from your ruminating thoughts to the sensation in your body. Honestly there’s a lot of tools out there. Mind you, the goal is not to eliminate it but to be able to manage it. To feel it, process it and let go without attaching to the mood swings. Now it lasts below three hours for me and doesn’t come For a month or more. In time I expect it will be gone completely. You may not know why but your body does, let it pass through. From experience when I let myself get talked into feeling shame and guilt and then suppress the moods, lol , the day I don’t have the strength to suppress it is the day the Tiger awakens. The mood then lasts for days! I learnt the hard way when I suddenly bursted into tears at work at no provocation in 2019. lol. All the best to you as you learn how to work through your emotions. I can recommend a few more books if you’d like like Dr Gabor Mate “ when the body says no” which is riveting.

I think "underachieving might be your problem perhaps you aint where you confidently envisioned yourself to be by now buh these is life where 1+1 won't alway be 2.
Money might not really be the problem, however people who feel unaccomplished are prone to live in "self-hate" cos they are constantly angry with themselves for failing, hence the mood swing.
Bro you are the antidote to yourselves, there is nothing your wife can do because you have an internal bleeding, to resolve these you need to 1st appreciate what you have no matter how small, then you have to reset & restrategize your goals within your capacity i..e using realistic approach.
The bright side is as you move on, achieving those new goals will revive/resuscitate your inner source of happiness, as a man. when life give you lemonade make a lipton out of it, your wife fit get milk

May I suggest that you open up to your wife about your mood swings. That’s when she can help you cope by engaging you in discussion because most times having someone to talk with helps. Above all pray and read the Bible together with your wife. The Lord bless you. Nothing is wrong with you my friend.

Being shy has nothing to do with having an introverted personality. They're different.

You have to find out what makes you happy and do it whenever you have this mood swing.

You can also go for a walk or call someone just to talk. It helps.

Please don't shut your wife out when it

happens, she can help if you let her in.
