krattoss:Don't worry. When we catch and roast them alive, I hope you won't come here and lament and call Nigeria a zoo and whine about jungle justice. Instead of you to condemn these hopeless caricatures of human beings that gruesomely ended the life of an aspiring young man whose only offence was defending his property, you are busy typing rubbish. I don't blame you; you might be a cultist yourself. Birds of a feather... |
GogetterMD:If only he utilized that energy to fight off his oppressors, he'll be free and never have to run away again. |
kennygee:That was mean!! Dayuum! |
Women run to extremes. They are either better or worse than men. These witches are perfect examples of the 'worse than men' variety. Sorry sweet kid. Wishing you full recovery. |
Orikinla:Sorry to burst your bubble but this is amelia not quadriplegia. Amelia is a congenital abnormality characterized by the complete absence of limbs and used to be relatively common when the drug thalidomide was in use. Incidence of this disorder has greatly reduced following the banning of this drug and the use of safer sedatives in pregnancy. |
Fearcom:Ha! I remember the song: "There is no vacancy in Aso Rock We need Goodluck Jonathan again There is no vacancy in Aso Rock We need Goodluck Jonathan again" I believe it was Sunny Okposun that was the lead singer. Played more times than I can count on NTA during the electioneering period. Used to like the song, I must admit. ![]() |
Nice development!!! |
smartboy1:Buahahahahaha Very hilarious. Once she comes to a realization of what she just said, the next thing to come out of her mouth will be "It is not my portion. I reject it, I reject it. Holy Ghost fire". Buahahahaha |
Depressing news I must say. With light crude now selling for a little above $38 and still on a downward spiral, I fear things are only going to get worse. Government should explore ways to shore up revenue in the face of this massive crash in oil prices and dwindling value in global stocks. A few tips: 1. Raise VAT to 10% as opposed to the present 5% 2. Stop all fuel subsidies. At current crude oil prices government has no business paying subsidy to marketers. Indeed, by my calculation, a liter of fuel should be selling for #70 at current crude oil prices. In fact, it's the marketers that should pay a fuel tax to the government. 3. Revamp the real sector especially manufacturing and agriculture by improving power and road infrastructure and offering tax breaks. 4. Blockage of all sources of revenue leakages and a sincere anti-corruption fight that ensures that individuals caught looting the treasury serve jail time upon conviction. 5. Serious consideration should be given to further devaluation of the naira to a level that significantly boosts exports and enables the government to earn more revenue from its petrodollars. My humble submission. |
Heartbreakers!
I hope they improve with time or else I'm changing club. |
Causes of massive hematemesis (vomiting of blood) include ruptured oesophageal varices due to chronic liver disease, an aortic aneurysm that has eroded through the oesophageal wall and ruptured subsequently, a peptic ulcer that has extended into a major gastric vessel and eroded it and poisoning. In our environment, the haemorrhagic fevers, in particular Ebola haemorrhagic disease and yellow fever, must also be considered. The young lady needs to be handled by properly equipped medical emergency personnel and transferred to a specialist centre for evaluation and treatment. |
Always match your expectations with your reality if you truly want to be happy. |
Abdominal pain, abdominal distention and pallor in a girl/woman of child-bearing age are typical signs and symptoms of a ruptured ectopic. Agreed. However, a neglected ruptured appendix can give a very similar picture since it will inevitably result in peritonitis and septicaemia with its attendant DIC and anaemia. Ditto for a typhoid perforation. Being an emergency, there may or may not have been enough time to conduct investigations to shed more light on the diagnosis. So, the doctor bears little or no responsibility for the misdiagnosis. It is entirely the patient's fault. |
doncharleyosumo:n/0 = infinity Thus 0*infinity = n where n is a positive integer This is what proves to me that something can come out of nothing since, as the equation shows, nothing when multiplied an infinite number of times (which essentially is what space is, infinite) gives you something (the stars and the planets). |
nerodenero:Thanks |
cococandy:Really not worth it. Well said. Wish she could listen. |
Cpumping:ok |
SmartChoices:Not perfect. Just trying to be perfect. Which is impossible. But as they say, there's no harm in trying. |
greatgod2012:Thanks for the advice. |
cococandy:Thanks, Cococandy. Your advice is always appreciated on this forum. As to the reasons behind their animosity I cannot say but I do suspect my wife believes my mother is against her and may want to harm her. The other women present tried to separate the fight to no avail. Even neighbours assisted but they just won't let go until I came. I've always advised my wife to avoid any situation that would lead to a quarrel or fight with my mother. I guess she chose not to listen. |
ottizz:My wife's behaviour was very bad and I've made her to understand that. |
@ ZACHIE Thanks for updating your previous post. My wife called me while they were still quarrelling, before the fight started. I hope to God this issue is resolved amicably. I've already started the mediation process but it's not easy 'cos my mother would have none of it. Her terms for reconciliation are rather steep, necessitating the departure of my wife from the home. |
Cpumping:My wife would gladly do that but my mother has threatened fire and brimstone if I ever show up at her place with my wife. |
ZACHIE:Just yeah. These are serious issues, bro. |
Nairalanders, I'm in a quagmire! About one week ago, my mother came to visit my family with her sister and a friend. After the preliminary greetings and felicitations, I proceeded to take leave of my guests in order to go and service my car, leaving them in the hands of my wife after having provided some refreshments for them. Now, my wife and mother have no love lost between them and barely get along but the joviality they displayed together in my presence combined with the fact that my mother's sister and friend were also around made me to believe all will be well and nothing will go wrong. No sooner had I left home than I received a frantic call from my wife to return quickly that all hell had broken loose. Upon getting home, I found my mother and my wife on the 3-seater going at each other with both wailing. I managed to separate them and proceeded to find the cause of the fight. I was told by the two onlookers (mother's sister and a friend) that my wife prevented my mother from taking some photos of the child dedication we did a few weeks back from the photo album. This incensed my mother and led to my wife being slapped following which all hell was broken loose. My mother even sustained a deep scratch on her face. Now, my family members have insisted that my wife must leave the house for committing this abomination (their words, not mine). Indeed, my mother has told me in no uncertain terms that mother and son relationship has ended as long as my wife continues to remain in the house. I love my wife and has two young children with her but this whole issue has complicated things. What should I do? Your candid advice and suggestions will be appreciated. |
anonimi:I believe I'm absolutely correct! The FG collects the royalties, excise duties, import duties, taxes from oil companies, importers etc on BEHALF of all the three tiers of government, not so?I do agree with that assertion. It is a duty assigned to it by the 1999 constitution. It is doing no one no favour by doing that. Therefore the federal government being the CUSTODIAN shares the monthly allocation to the 36 states and 774 LGAs. Do you agree so far ??I quite agree it is a custodian of the collected revenues and shares same with the 36 states and 774 LGAs via the monthly FAAC meetings. However, custody is not the same thing as ownership. Otherwise, bank depositors' funds would be claimed by the banks. Ditto for pension contributions to PFAs. Hence, the FG cannot claim ownership of funds in the Federation Account by virtue of being a custodian of such funds. Indeed, it must be pointed out that the Federal Government collects the aforementioned revenues from companies and business concerns situated WITHIN the states, a task that could be better performed by the states if the constitution had so directed. Kindly note that there are NO federating units in Nigeria.I beg to disagree. The 1999 constitution clearly states that the 36 states and 774 LGAs form a federating unit. Never mind who drafted it. It is the grundnorm of the country. Moreover NONE of the 36 states actually COLLECTS its own revenue that it in turn contributes to the federal purse as a federating body such that the federal AGENT can carry out assigned duties on behalf of the federating units with FOREIGN countries. This, too, is a constitutional matter. And it goes to show that the states have more say financially than the Federal Government. Or, so the constitution intended. It is very important that we understand these basic elements of our citizenship and "SOCIAL CONTRACT" relationship to the "STATE" at its various levels, which the advent of colonialism and military COUPISTS destroyed.I do understand my rights and duties as a citizen. Do you? |
anonimi:I'm not holding brief for Governor Amaechi or the APC but it pisses me off whenever people say that states go to the Federal Government for monthly allocation. Nothing could be further from the truth. The fact is that BOTH the Federal Government and the state/local governments get their monthly allocations from the FEDERATION ACCOUNT which belongs to ALL the federating units. The Federation Account is NOT owned by the FG. It is not its private purse. Pls everyone should take note. |
LoungeCEO:Free food?!!! Kai!!! Women are wicked!!! So, when he does call her, it'd be like ''Free Food calling''. Poor guy!!! |
Good move on the part of LASG. Car horns are a major contributor to noise pollution all around the world. Horn only when necessary and save millions of road users from the harmful effects of unwanted sound, namely anxiety, stress and progressive sensorineural deafness. |
Pronmix: I think it did, gave him money to congratulate his tenacity.Nah! He's still going to die. That's if he's not dead already. |
Pronmix: 2.This man must have frustrated death. If death could, it would have given up on him. |
chimoz: Must you show the whole world that you are a medical doctor? There are thousands of medical Doctors on this forum but you won't hear about them, but you will go about advertising your temporary license. When you want to comment on threads outside health leave medicine alone and comment as a neutral Nigerian.Do you have beef for doctors? The comment was not directed at you, yet you took it personal. Perhaps you are a JOHESUite. Perhaps. |

so it is easy for me to say but momentary gratification of hitting back can't compensate for the consequences that may follow.
