I am using my father's bank statement as Proof of Funds to get CAS. My "middle name" as stated on my birth certificate is different to what I'm using now on all certificates including my passport. The one on my passport and draft CAS is the correct one.

I hope it won't be a problem when I request CAS and apply for visa.

It won't. More so, your current home address won't be stated on your CAS.

It is not an issue since the POF will show only your name.

And they are saying i they have to add their staff to my account as co signatory
So I don't make withdrawal without their consent

My question now is will it be an issue (if the visa officer check )if I have someone as co signatory to my account?

I just noticed a typo in the name of the secondary school on the qualification section of CAS letter as bolded below:

"NQF Level 06 Qualification Name Senior School Certificate Awarding Body Obukun High School (NECO). NQF Level 02 English Language = C5. We've used this in conjunction with an interview to confirm their language level is still at a high enough standard."

The correct spelling should be "Obokun".


Considering this is only a typo of one single letter- Would it matter when applying?

Do a transaction today and print another statement and send to them.

You are 90% safe since you will be printing your statement on Wednesday (28 days) or Thursday (29 days) and apply immediately. Let us pray that Oanda do not rise before you apply for visa.

1. No need to write IELTS since you were issued an unconditional offer with your NECO.
2. It has nothing to do with it..
Above all, present docs stated in your CAS along with your Intl Passport, TB cert, and POF.

Please I have been following this thread, and it's very informative.I got an unconditional Offer Last Year with Cardiff but due to covid, I didn't proceed, so I deferred my admission. I would like to proceed with my admission this year Sept 2021. But before I make any payments to school for CAS, TB etc. I need some advise please.

1. I got admitted with Neco results and English proficiency from my University, I dont ve WAEC. Would I need to write IELTS for Visa application?

2. I'm particularly scared as I got a student Visa refusal from Ireland and one of the reasons written was I didn't submit an IELTS results even though I presented my Neco and English Language Proficiency from University to the Ireland Embassy. Would this affect UK visa application/ decision ?

I have someone with a full scholarship (full tuition and monthly stipend) from a school in the UK. But while filling the visa application form, he picked the option that he relies on his parents for maintenance funds. And so he needs to submit the related documents like birth certificate and bank balance. The bank balance is not up to what is needed. But he has the official sponsor letter stating he’s on a full scholarship and the amount to be paid (even more than the required amount on UKVI website).
What would you suggest in this case? Will a cover letter be sufficient in explaining the situation, alongside the official sponsor letter, birth certificate, bank statement from his parent and his personal bank statement (he is still working, so he’s getting paid)?

You can use form A to pay your 50% enrollment.

For those going to or has gone to Sheffield Hallam university, after the initial 1k deposit has been paid, how do you pay the 50% fee at enrollment??
Can it still be paid with Form A or it has to be paid over there in Pounds? Which means I’ll have to convert my naira to pounds first? Pls clarify? As I’m thinking the conversion rate will be high compared to using form A of around 585/£. Pls urgent responses needed.

If you are running your bank statements, pls use 620 and above. Don't follow what some people are saying that you can use Oanda rate for the day you started running your statement. It is false. UKVI will use Oanda rate for the day you do biometrics. More so, it is not compulsory your opening balance matches your closing balance in as much you don't spend beyond your required funds.

Look at Sheffield Hallam University, you should get unconditional offer in less than two weeks of applying.
