Breaking News It's time to END NIGERIA so that people who want development can go ahead. 〰️ Bishop kukah I have never been as unsure of Nigeria future as I am now………BISHOP MATTHEW HASSAN KUKAH After independence, in order to build a great nation, each country went to work. But in Nigeria, after independence, our people went to pray and fast. So, while we were praying, Malaysia came here and took our palm seedlings and build a great factory of it. While we were praying, Singapore went into investment in technology. While we were praying, India went into ICT. While we were praying, China went to massive industrialization. While we were shouting Allah Alakuba! UAE went into massive infrastructural development. While we were binding and casting Lucifer, Japan went into technological development. While we were speaking in tongues, Denmark went into education of her citizens. While we were mounting big speakers in our places of worship, USA was mounting man on the moon. After our prayers, God, being a wise God decided to reward us according to our labour. Since those that went into industrialization, technology, infrastructural development, ICT, education etc had been rewarded accordingly. It’s only wise God rewards us with our efforts in prayers. That’s why today, Nigerian pastors are competing in building the biggest churches. That’s why there are more prayer houses and worship places than hospitals and schools. That’s why people rush to prayer houses for medical and business solutions instead of hospitals. That’s why we don’t do business proposals before jumping into business since we are going to back it up with prayers. And when such collapse, we blame devil. That’s why it’s a sin to say anything negative about pastors and imams. That’s why our pastors don’t consider the opinion of engineers while building and blame devil when the building collapsed. That’s why faith in God replaces building pillars and when it collapsed we blame it on Lucifer. That’s why our pastors are making sure they plant church branches instead of schools in every street in Nigeria. That’s why we always wait for God to do that which ability to accomplish He has already handed over to us. That’s why we want our teachers to labour on earth and come to heaven for their rewards. Nigeria is a prayer loving, God fearing nation. Religion has taken the place of technology, infrastructure, education and all. When we are traveling, we ignore all the necessary road requirements, servicing of our vehicles and pray. And, once we pray, we can put a half fit vehicle on the road and blame our step mother or mother in law if anything goes wrong. That’s why there are more people dying on our roads than wild life animals in the wilderness. Because, we pray and fast and leave everything to God when God has given us all we need to survive and build a nation…….God help us. Do you agree with him? Keep sharing |
Blasphemy: Ganduje to sign singer’s death sentence ThenationonlinengAug 28, 2020Read original Kano State Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje on Thursday endorsed death sentence passed on 22-year-old Yahaya Sharif-Aminu by upper Shari’a court for blaspheming. Sharif-Aminu, a resident of Sharifai quarters in Kano municipal, was sued for “insulting religious creed, contrary to section 382 (b) of Kano State Shari’a Penal Code Law 2000.” According to the litigation, he committed blasphemy against the prophet in a song he circulated that went viral via WhatsApp in March 2020. The Shari’a court, presided by Khadi Aliyu Muhammad Kani, found him guilty of the charge and orderd he should be hanged until he dies. Ganduje applauded the judgment while speaking at Africa House, Government House, Kano, in a “Special Meeting” with Muslim Ulamahs. Leaders of the Ulamahs, who represented the three major sects of Islam: Izalah, Tijjaniyya and Kadiriyya, unanimously hailed the judgment. The meeting also had in attendance the Commissioner of Police, Director State Security Service (DSS), Representative of Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Eze of Kano Chief Boniface Ibekwe, Representatives of Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Representatives of Muslim Lawyers Association of Nigeria (MULAN) and Comptroller of Kano Correctional Centre. The governor Ganduje noted that the involvement of the Ulamahs and the court’s verdict is very “important to the security of Kano state and the country,” as it prevented what would have been extrajudicial killing. “What the Court did is absolutely right. And we support it completely. Such kind of irresponsible act, if not because of the state power, nobody could know what would happen in the future. “The man who did that (blasphemy), confessed to be a follower of a particular Islamic Sect. But the adherents of the sect rejected him right away. So, we need to understand the importance of this judgement. We are lucky that scholars maintained that it wasn’t a case for a particular Sect, but rather of one who just decided to derail. “The state government has accepted the death sentence verdict and the rule of law surrounding the case. I will not waste time in signing the warrant for the execution of the man who blasphemed our Holy Prophet of Islam,” Ganduje said. The accused, however, has the right to appeal which exhausts at the Supreme Court. He was sentenced to death on August 10 and had 30 days to appeal. Today (Friday), he has 12 days left to file an appeal, failure to which he will be killed. Ganduje said the Kano State government also respects the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, which gives a person convicted the right of appeal. And while he is appealing, the government has no right to sign the death warrant. He said: “If he does not appeal within the 30 days, I, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, the Executive Governor of Kano, will sign the death warrant. If he exhausts his appeal at the Supreme Court, I will not waste a minute to sign the death warrant.” The prison service said the accused (Sharif-Aminu) has not appealed the judgment, yet. No lawyer has also shown up to his defense, it was learnt. Ganduje commended the manner in which the Court handled the case. He also commended all sections of the society for not fomenting trouble when the case was in the court. “Our eyes are there following everything bit by bit. We thank Almighty Allah, that the court sitting went on successfully. Lawyers just told us that the case could go up to Supreme Court. So, if that happens, I will not waste time in approving the verdict right away. And the second issue is, if the victim did not take up the case to appellate courts, I will not waste time to give the approval for the execution. I will not take more than few minutes to accept the verdict.” |

*Please, Permit me to expose typical African mentality* African! African!! Ooh African!!! *THINK* In a story, an African man was given the opportunity to ask for anything he wants The condition was that, whatever he gets, his brother would receive double. He thought about asking for a house; but he did not like thought of his brother having two houses. So he thought about asking for a million dollars to go to his bank account; but again, he was unhappy with the thought of his brother having two million dollars in his account. The man sat down and thought hard, *What can I have and still be better than my brother when he has double?* So, he thought of having one of his eyes removed so that his brother might have his two eyes gouged. *This sounds like a very unlikely story; however, this is the typical mentality that has set Africans backward for ages and caused witchcraft to thrive in Africa.* An African wants to be better than his brother at all costs The African man is only careful: to share his beer, not his books; to spread his diseases, and not the cure; -to transfer his problems, and not the solution When an African man fails, he wishes his brother same fate so that he won't be the only one who had tasted the bitterness of failure. An African man is happy when evil besets his brother. When most African men succeed, they want to enslave their brothers; they try to make the class gap between them and their brothers widen daily. An African man wants to outperform his brother in every area and most African men do not want to let their brothers have any chances of success because they want to be the only ones succeeding. When an African man gets to sit on a seat of authority, he wants to keep it to himself and refuses to give anyone else a chance to sit. In African schools, students who can afford textbooks do not let other students borrow their textbooks because they want to stay on top of the class or they don't want to give another student the opportunity to perform better than them. When one independently discovers the way to success, an African man who refused to give directions would still do all he can to stand in the way of that success. An African man is ready to spend money to intimidate his brother and make him look like nothing. Africa will become better; When we begin to share books to pass knowledge, not just our drinks. When we begin to let others also lead without our influence. When we begin to give the same quality of food and clothing to both our children and our maids. When we let our servants eat on the same table with us. When the boss lets his lower staff get paid before him. Africa can become progressive when we begin to look out for each other rather than stand in the way of one another. When we can sincerely say, *let my brother get it too, and if I can't get it, let me help him get it* Excerpt from the book *The Problem with Africa* |

The Founder and Chairman of Tonimas Oil and Gas, Chief Dr. Sir Anthony Obiagboso Enukeme is reportedly dead. The billionaire businessman died yesterday June 8, at the age of 76. National Chairman of All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA), Ozonkpu Dr. Victor Ike Oye confirmed this in a press statement released today June 9. It read; APGA HAS LOST A RARE GEM: ONOWU ANTHONY ENUKEME (TONIMAS) The news hit me like a ballistic missile. I was dazed, shocked, and thrown into a mental fixation. How can he die like that? I queried. But no answer coming from anywhere. As I wrote this short tribute my hand was trembling. Tonimas dead? I keep asking. It can’t be. My head swirling and my heart beating in quick succession. A good man has joined the Saints. Since I met him it has been one good act or another recorded for him. He single-handed built a church in his hometown, Neni; celebrated annual yam festival for his people, and gave generously to numerous church and philanthropic causes. He loved APGA with passion. He attended our last National Convention in Awka where he was elected a BOT member. Oh, Lord, my God! How do we bear this burden of the loss of one of our pillars? I can’t continue. I am losing balance. Let me wait till the reality sinks before I can do a more befitting tribute. |
