The reason is that most Hausa and yoruba people usually stay in thier place of birth while other people from south south and south east love moving out of thier enclaves to hustle. I'm a southern person but I live and registered in ogun state. All my houses are in the south west. Most if the people in the south west especially Lagos and Oyo states , even ogun state , are from south south and south East.
