Constructive, coherent and balanced comment.

I understand the emotional aspect which I do acknowledge in an earlier statement.
A large percentage of this business is being done here in the US, the phrase "when in Rome, behave like the Romans" comes to mind here. With that being said, all pickers on this platform also buy and sell stuffs, we are not exclusively pickers. If anyone thinks it's not "your supplier" selling them stuffs and they found the deals themselves, then oh well... Where do we draw the line of encroachment and wrongdoing is now the question. My premise is this - if you send me a deal and I go pick it up for myself, then that is bad, I will never do that. If the seller texts me of his own free will, then it is not wrong. One thing everybody needs to acknowledge from this business is the limitation of your relationship with these sellers, they meet with us every time, we have a physical interaction. I can't begin to write what many sellers have texted me after leaving them. One gay seller texted me some things I can't even write here, I blocked him afterwards. That's just one of many examples. Contrary to another guy's response here (not gonna address him directly), I don't have an obligation to bring the deal a seller texted me personally to you because you consider seller 'your supplier'. It's to my discretion what I do with that offer.
And I'm sure all pickers can't possibly buy the whole market. It's simple market dynamics, I don't know what the other guy is bidding. For example, I have picked up for Techprodigy from this same seller during this period because I don't know what he offered and he won the bid apparently.

I'm not someone who will lie to further my business so let me put this out there to everyone; if you have a reservation about your supplier selling to me of his own free will because you believe you have a sole proprietorship to his products then do not contact me for pick ups. What I will not do however is steal you deals to pick them up for myself.
The LG phone I'm using now was from a seller Wildchild sent to me. I met with him to pick up for Wildchild, I pick the items Wildchild sent, the seller offered to sell some LG phones and another apple watch, I threw him a ridiculous offer and he accepted. Wildchild knew about this. I assumed he has also spoken to him about the phones too. No wrong doing.
Just as I stated earlier, if anybody have reservations about using my services, stay away. I'm totally fine with my customer base. I even turn people down, I have school work, I have to study too because I can't be looking dumb to my attending during ward rounds.

Great comment by way.
The funny thing about this whole ish is that NO BUYER will forbid his picker buying from his supplier if the picker goes like how far bro, your supplier messages me occasionally, would you be cool if I do business with him?

Of course you don't need his permission to buy from whomever you so wish cos the buyer doesn't own his supplier's products & you also reserve the right to buy from whom you wish, but the idea here is that you're sending a message to the buyer that even though it's business and you can deal however you wish and with anybody you so please, you also understand the human-emotional side of it. This also gives the impression that it's not all about the money for you. It solidifies the RESPECT both parties have for each other and fosters Trust - an important ingredient in this volatile pick up Business where your thousands of dollars travel week-in week-out, day-in day-out into the hands of somebody you CHOOSE to trust blindly. Yes, blindly.

You mentioned something about a certain delay of arrival of goods by three weeks or so. Then you said it's NORMAL. That these things happen due to the nature of the business. But the absolute truth is that it's not an excuse. As a matter of fact, it's none of my business as a buyer. I payed for your service. If you tell me my goods is gonna arrive within a time frame and it doesn't, then be ready to compensate me for time wasted. THIS IS BUSINESS!!!

But did techprodigy or the rest that were financially affected by the delay do so even though it's legally within thier rights? Nope. That's because there's also this human-emotional side to business we Nigerians hold so dearly that forms the core of our relationships & patnerships in the business sphere.

Though I'm not privy to your chats with clients but I'm sure the worst most of them did during the delay was complain that clients are on their necks, but nevertheless they understood with you even though this is business and they do not owe you that understanding. The same patience and understanding I'm sure most Americans would not exercise with you because over there, business is business and that's it.

See why I said business climates differ and as a result business perspectives differ too, so one should always try to come down to the level of the customer if it wouldn't hurt and just like you said, behave like the Romans when in Rome. Else forget about getting served the best pasta on the menu.

Anyways, at least now you've issued a proper disclaimer and everyone knows the terms now. There'll be no future clash of business- emotional perspectives again. That's fair enough I guess.

I know the ads can be annoying atimes but this is a fucking market place. A MARKET PLACE. What were they expecting? Everybody benefits from the so-called annoying ads. Everybody. One way or the other.

Imagine enjoying the benefits of okrika but complaining about the smell.
Anybody that wants the benefits of okrika should be ready to bend. Simple.

Well, now that they've separated the tomato from the pepper sellers and completely taken away that sense of community that has over the years hindered the boldness of scammers & theives & ensued progress, ladies and gentlemen, let the scamming begin.

Afterall what better way to kill a prey that isolate it from the clan. ** continues blowing whistle**

Some people don't just understand that asides the affordability, what makes this whole thing special is that sense of Community. It's a Brand. A brand that this new development would cripple.

Forget water resistance on any phone you did not personally buy brand new.. You cant be 100% sure,
.
also once a phone deviate from its factory certified condition I.e crack.. It is smart to assume it has lost its water resistance feature..
I've seen people who ask engineers even here on NL,, what will happen to their Samsung/iPhones if they will still retain the water resistance feature,, and most engineers are always smart to avoid that question.. Not always because they have anything to hide,, but because even in manufacturing factories a product (phone) pass through so many certifications/test under sophisticated machines before it can be packaged for sale.. and the ones that failed the test are returned and perfected again until they pass the test
.
These engineers do not and cannot afford these kind of machines,, so they cant simply give a direct answer to that question..
In a factory,, machines do the assembling and couplings,, before passing through the Certification Phase to make sure its 100% ready for sale... How much more phones that were coupled and assembled by Human during repair without passing through any Cerfication...??
.
As per Fast Charge feature,, a cracked phone should still be able to fast charge..
Detailed. Thanks.

Even abroad sef where their technicains are highly skilled and have an array of tools at their disposal, I think there is an unwritten rule that once the phone has been opened it loses water resistance cos there's a coating they'll have to pass through to get inside the phone. The same one that seals the phone from water.

If phone is cracked or has been repaired/opened before, just forget about it's water resistance. However, wireless charging might not be affected.

I was able to get a used Note 8 and it's water resistant. I've tested it. Well it's just luck sha.
True. I have confirmed that wireless charging will work irrespective.

I also think so far a phone has not been opened before or doesn't have a wicked crack that creates tiny openings on the glass, water resistance will still work.

1. Do people still save numbers on their Sim cards?

2. I don't use Xender, even the bluetooth on my device is almost useless cos I Don't collect anything from anyone.

Hotspot works well now without 3rd party, the last time i used a verizon phone with 3rd party app for hotspot was 2014/15 on my S4/S5. All my Samsung phones have been Verizon including the one i'm using now. So there's no need for any form of unlock again once your sim card is working well on it.

3. I dont use GTB, as a matter of fact, i dont do USSD transactions, its not so safe. Mobile banking or internet banking or ATM transaction in case of no internet.
1. Yea. People who move Sims from one phone to another and want to retain certain numbers without going through long processes.

2. E be like you be shareholder for Spectranet or swift lol. Well, some of us would rather collect from someone than waste data downloading entire seasons of a series someone close has.

I said it seems like a Verizon app cos if you search under apps you'll see an app "mobile hotspot" that is integrated with the one found under settings. That's why I said it's not core inbuilt. Same way you can't see an app called "wifi" on your app tray icon cos it's core inbuilt & works on its own.

3. I also detest ussd cos it's porous. So maybe I can call this inconvenience an annoying security feature... But they have been times I wished for ussd.

I remembered all this Verizon wahala today when i came across my conversation with somebody I got an s8+ for last year. The guy nearly asked for refund cos he couldn't save numbers to his sim. lmao.

Also, why is it that Verizon phones have slight annoying limitations.
1. Like not being able to save a number to your sim card.. I think verzion locks & limits certain. sim capabilities. This being one of them.

2. Not being able to use Xender if you create a connection. You MUST have to join someone's connection. If you create, then the other phone that wants to join cannot see your device.

I think it has to do with Verizon locking the mobile hotspot. Cos to even use hotspot to begin with, you'll have to use a version wireless app on the phone. The inbuilt one is greyed out.

Any verzion users here that can confirm this abi na only me. I know Verizon phones are unlocked by default but e con be like say it needs another unlock onto the unlock again. lol. I have been using the phone for years sha.

3. You can't use gtbank ussd cos *737 cos *73 is Verizon's speed dial for call forwarding. If you dial it, na call forwarding be that. I have been stuck with mobile for years now. Na disadvantage cos if no data, no transaction.

Expecting buyers / end users to bear ANY liability for a defective item is totally ridiculous. If an item is advertised and sold as being without defect, and it turns out not to be so, the liability should rest fully with the deal hunter and picker because they've clearly failed to conduct their DUE DILIGENCE. The buyer / end user reserves the right to either demand a full refund or a rebate if the item varies from what was advertised. If you aren't sure of the state of an item, then you should advertise it "as is" and the TLC should reflect the element of risk the buyer is now made to bear along with you. As deal hunters, whatever profit you're making is compensation for both your time spent in searching and negotiating deals and the element of risk borne in delivering your advertised goods. A buyer/end user shares no part of your "super profits" so NEVER expect him to share a part of your liability.
Cc. Dragnet cc lionlee cc daaz001
God bless you. You are full of wisdom.

Why should a buyer share any liability at all - even if it's 0.00001% - after paying in full for an item? So after the deal hunter makes profit on goods sold, the buyer is still expected to share in any future liability. For what? Where is that even done.

Oga lionlee I really commend the way you handle issues. It exudes maturity, wisdom and shows you deeply care about the satisfaction of your direct & indirect customers. I think to avoid future issues like these, you should put up a DISCLAIMER that dealhunting is for competent people only. And anyone - after making profit - that will not take full responsibility for any liability that's not the buyers fault, should kindly step aside from dealhunting with you.

It's only a greedy human being that will make profit and still expect whom he/she made profit from to share liability. Na delahunter know how he wan calculate the TLC reach. If he likes he can slam 1million naira, that's his biz. But IF I PAY YOU THE MONEY YOU REQUESTED IN FULL, then my only job is to close my eyes, lay down on my soft bed and expect to receive EXACTLY WHAT I PAID FOR. Simple.

Deal hunting is not/ and should not be for everybody. If you can't bear the associated risks - even after making profit - then step aside. You cannot eat your cake and have it. Lai lai

No! You're not entitled to an opinion that's false. Samsung is not playing catch-up to huawei.

The S10 series uses an ultrasonic finger print sensor that reads the dimensions and contours of a finger to provide a much more efficient and secure pathway unlike the conventional optical image finger print sensors found on say one plus 6, so how is that playing catch-up?

Samsung's ultrasonic finger print sensor will work even with water on your finger. Try that on any other in-screen finger sensor.

How can a pioneer in the industry play catch-up to the likes of companies that stood on its very shoulders to survey the waters before taking a big dive into the industry? How?

BS upon BS!

IPhone Xs max came out more than 6 months ago but, apples to apples, it still cost more than the Samsung S10 plus that just came out. The only people who compare Samsung phones to iPhone are folks who can't afford an iPhone. Short and simple. As a phone aficionado myself, here are the best phones currently in the market:

Apple iPhone Xs Max
Huawei Pro 20 (the pictures and videos are out of this world)
Google Pixel 3 XL
Samsung Galaxy Note 9 (tested it, didn't like it and sold it on ebay less than 3 weeks ago and went back to my iPhone Xr)
**I am yet to test the Samsung Galaxy S10

FYI - I didn't wanna include gaming specific phones like Hydrogen, Razer etc.

O pari
A so-called phone aficionado who does not know why an iPhone of 6months ago still costs as much/more than the just realeased s10 series. I'm not even surprised. From the way you said a whole lot and ended up saying nothing tangible, I don't need an oracle to tell me you're the type that'll rather use & rate an iPhone 4 over an s8.

Arguing with your type is entirely pointless. Steve Jobs really used his marketing genius to do wonders on your type. How dare you say people who compare Samsung to iPhones can't afford it? Your shallow sense of reasoning is a testament to Steve Job's living legacy.

That aside, are you kidding me?
Remove iPhone xs rubbish from that list of best phones currently in the market and replace it with the one plus 6T. Phone aficionado my foot.

Thanks for the info, so literally one has to change keyboard theme and wallpaper
Well, if you're almost always typing on your phone, then yes change keyboard themes from time to time. USE DARKER KEYBOARD THEMES. It is not a RULE though, just a precaution to avoid the chances of a screen burn.

Keyboards and Wallpaper burns are very common because for screen burn to occur, the image has to be one that's constantly static on your screen. The major cause is that pixels around the screen-burn part of amoled screens kind of get used to reproducing the same colors over & over again, while other parts of the screen continue to display several different colors, eg when browsing and scrolling websites. Scrolling IG or Facebook, watching videos etc.

That's the major reason why there's an option to float Always on Display on the S7, s8 , s9 etc all over the screen.

Screen burn is no biggy for most people but if you don't like it & want to avoid it, Use DARK or transparent keyboard themes & Dark Wallpapers, reduce screen brightness when brightness is not necessary. Anything DARK on your amoled screen means the pixels in that area are not using any battery, thus not lighting up, meaning you're safe.

You can also use *#0*# to check your standard R(Ed)G(reen) B(lue) colors. If the phone has any dead pixels or color misrepresentation your naked eye cannot otherwise easily spot, e go show here.

Make una no vex for the long talk abeg.
