The most frustrating thing with Airtel is its not even the network dat is actually bad, u will have a normal Airtel sim in ur phone browsing at amazing speeds and other 4g routers doing very well but, the odu is consistently being throttled behind the scenes by them. Thats why these days, they don't allow u to change apn or dns. U will always here people saying, "it was good at first", this is clearly not a situation of good network but to throttled network. BTW, most of u currently enjoying the airtel re mostly the ones who swapped to physical sim to use on x25pro and not odu device itself but no be every body get power for dat kind of stress. If u paid for something, it should work as advertised but Airtel don't want u to use unlimited data freely but will still be advertising it, it's not by force abeg!

I am just going crazy here, if I do the plan within 13 to 16 days dem don throttle my speed, it's now even like their network is 100% good oo! So how did I use the supposed 1TB. The funny thing is is that as dem don throttle me like this they are sending me messages that I used 10GB yesterday. How do I use 10GB on a network that the speed is like 0.3Mbs speed?

Ask around for other options from people around or at work I'm sure you can get something better if it's not giving you what you want. Airtel that removed my area data plan just when it finally worked for me I don't know why they behave like demons even their customer care is wack and rude when I went to complain about my network issues the way they replied me like say I tiff the sim. Their customer care is plainly useless, I wrote emails to them, messaged them on Twitter yet nothing! Just silence.

I have been using Airtel ODU for like 3 months now, from what I have heard there is a 1TB FUP before one is throttled, but I don't usually use up to that in a month. Usually the sub is supposed to expire on 10th of the next month, but one thing I have noticed is that when it is 30th or 31st airtel will throttle my internet speed, even when I have not used up to the 1TB. They will keep up with this throttle till that 10th when I do another sub. In esssence when I do 1 month sub I only get to enjoy it for like 2 weeks. I have written to them severally and they have not gotten back to me. If you are considering Airtel ODU this is part of the headache you are likely to face.

From my experience with airtel odu I am starting to doubt the 1tb FUP people are saying and I think it's more like 180gb before they start throttling speed.

It was obvious what they were trying to do. The plan was clear to me from the start when they started posting Naira with Sanwo Olu and all his aasociation with APC politicians. I could cleary see what they were trying to do.

Honesty can't be undervalued nor underappreciated, if you know you are being paid to do something, admit it. Even on YouTube and all other social media, their is a disclaimer that they will say this video or post was sponsored, the poster should have done so.

If they wanted to forcefully generate user feedback, they should incentivise genuine customers to do a review, but only one on a site, and then move on. Follow proper corporate advertising engagement and engaging well known content creators is also a win with our youth of today.

But my best advice is it is word of mouth that will grow the brand and genuine user feedback which was what happened with Xiaomi and I am glad I was part of the people who always hyped that brand and sold it in Nigeria long before they came in full force....and I've known Realme for ages too and I know their budget products are very comparable with Redmi and Xiaomi in quality and ultimately value, so no need for these underhand tactics of deception if they do things right.

the device they are marketing is overpriced hot garbage so this is the only way they can sell it (creating new threads every other day on the crappy phone)
