Phones / The War Against Trashion (techno, Infinix, Itel) by pesty100(m): 5:38pm On Jun 05, 2020
The war against Trashion on this forum I think is starting to get misguided, Trashion makes crappy devices with the aim of taking money from us; of that we can all agree on. I think this should be the crux of our crusade. What I see is that the argument is starting to look like a ploy to move more Naomi (Xiaomi) products.

The only war i see on here is between people saying the true and people who think the people saying the truth are too loud or too rude.

Firstandonly:
Twitter has repeatedly failed to explain why their rules seem to only apply to the Trump campaign but not to others. Censoring out the president’s important message of unity around the George Floyd protests is an unfortunate escalation of this double standard.
maybe because he has 80,000,000+ followers or maybe because he is the president of the United States of America, he should be at least better than the average Twitter user and not post copyrighted materials. How hard can this be?

The conspiracy against Trump continues but they will fail ...Twitter was on the verge of collapse with no purpose till Trump joined it and revamped it ..it was after Trump joined Twitter that it broke even and even became profitable...After Trump wins his second term I advise he moves to another microblogging platform and we will join him there
person use copyrighted material you are claiming conspiracy. Which day are you going to be sensible like this?

Rubbish.

The democrats want trump out by all means, using every ally and situation available. Yet they are the most wicked and heartless set of politicians.

The world would be better off without them.

They have been forcing xiaomi on people's throat.
nobody has forced anything down anybody's throat. How is showing valid arguments against the pricing policy and choice of SOC by a company (trassion) forcing xaiomi's product down people's throat?

It's not a new story that nairaland phone section has become a toxic place as a result of aggressive marketing from Xiaomi Fanboys. These set of people should be regarded as phone idiots, because i see no reason they have to be forcing a particular brand into someone's throat. Whenever you don't buy to their idea, they start calling you a Tecno/Infinix Marketer forgetting that many people here do aired their views neutrally even without some of us using this tecno and infinix I count this as a high level of illiteracy from xiaomi users/fan boys. We all understand that xiaomi is a good product trying to gain it ground in Africa market but if xiaomi fan boys think the only thing they can do to establish these brand is by hating tecno/infinix with their aggressive marketing, i think that is a very stupid idea. I've used many brands for many years be it Nokia, Tecno, Infinix, Huawei, Samsung and Xiaomi redmi note 8 before i sold it and I've never regretted of using any. Once a xiaomi fan boy struggled to use his entire savings to get a low end or average xiaomi device we won't rest on nairaland, they feel as an assistant god forgetting that some of us are using a high end phone and we have people using Iphone as well. I termed these set of people as phone idiots with their aggressive marketing strategy. nobody ever forced me to buy my redmi note 8 for me.. I came across it in Slot and i gave it a trial. Yea the phone served me well for 7 months plus. During my time of using xiaomi i never forced it on people's throat. I remembered how my friends do mock the name xiaomi and called it "Naomi" i never bothered and if those people that are interested in it do ask me how was the device, all i do tell them is it's serving me well. I never for once forced it on their throats to get one despite i knew it functions are better than most of my friends using tecno and infinix. 2 guys and a lady that bought the Same phone opted for it from their own personal conviction after they do operate my phone for few week whenever we do hang around. I never for once slammed their tecno and infinix phones before they knew the difference.
But come to nairaland all these educated illiterates with their aggressive marketing strategy can even make someone that doesn't even know about the brand hate it before even given it a trial. I've been a guest on nairaland without registering as a member for many years because i don't have any reason for it. I registered lately last month when i created a thread about my xiaomi phone i wanted to dispose... I'm a quite user without hating other brands but these many idiots would always give the brand a bad name.. They claimed the device is good yet they do feel insecure, the better part of the day they ought to be using to enjoy their phones are been spent on nairaland to monitor tecno and infinix post as if these brands are the cause of their misfortunes. If you want to make xiaomi popular employ dancers on the street with a moving vehicle and banner and start moving from street to streets. But you see this hatred and useless campaign here against tecno and infinix here on nairaland is a complete waste of time that if you guys even values what is called time because i can't see a person with job coming here and monitoring tecno and infinix everyday. The more you hate the more you guys are loosing your battles, because you see 70% of Nigerians doesn't understand what is snapdragon or mtk especially ladies and average decent phone users not noise makers. Visit any store, customers are interested in brand popularity , battery and ladies are interested in camera. More than 80% of Nigerians doesn't understand pubg, pes 2020, type c charger, corning gorilla screen, snapdragon bla bla bla that you these xiaomi kids do cry about everyday. Use your senses and use your phones in peace, you don't need to be a cyber bullies before people patronize your brands. I know you guys would be pained after reading all these but you know what the truth is that you all lack common sense until you learn how to respect people's wish.
why is your dlck getting so hard because people with eyes are showing other people with eyes that trassion's product is crap? I don't think anybody has ever forced xaiomi into anyone's throat in this forum people only made suggestions and that's all

Someone who packed out 2 weeks towards the determination of the case.
our courts is something else ooo, It took them 3 years to determine whether someone was occupying another person's property illegally. Is it possible to include a clause in a rent contract that would attempt to penalize tenants that overstay or collecting security deposit from tenant that would be refunded to them when they pack out of the property?

Some tenants are just wicked, a businessman owe rents for over a year and refused to vacate the property, the landlady dragged him to the court. The case took almost 2 years to be decided. In short the man did not rent for about 3 years.

He knew he would lose the case, close to the time the case would be determined he moved his belongings to his warehouse and lodged his family in a hotel.

His family stayed in the hotel for 9 months, imagine how much it would have cost him to Lodge a family of 6 in a hotel. During this period of 9 months, he bought a house and renovated it on the street he once stayed and later moved in into the house. The man never made the mistake of having a tenant.

But karma is a bi-ch
the courts should have allowed the woman to seize the man's property so as to sell it to recoup some of the rent money.

Phones / Re: Why 2go Messenger Died by pesty100(m): 2:41pm On May 29, 2020
jukekeocha:
2go was bigger than Facebook in Nigeria with over 12 million users from Nigeria while Facebook had 6.5 Million users in 2012 - Apps africa

It was the hottest app, everyone was using it, if you were not on 2go you were not a cool kid, I got my first feature phone (java phone) around 2008, and was instantly addicted to the app.

The funny part was I didn't even create a new account, I bought a used phone, when I opened the 2go app, I found the previous owners account and just started using it. Looking at the craze that surrounded the 2go app back then, it could have been the first African owned successful social network, well. It was for five years, but after that it became a child's app

Everyone says WhatsApp killed 2go, what they don't know is that...........................................
Continue reading Why 2go messenger died
Everyone says WhatsApp killed 2go, what they don't know is that WhatsApp actually launched two years after 2go launched, and 2go reigned three more years while WhatsApp watched . WhatsApp only became the goto app in Africa after Android became popular in Africa, 2go failed to evolve, they just ported their featured phone (java phone) app into an Android shell and launched

2go then they failed to include media, WhatsApp allowed people to share photos, allowed people to create groups for free unlike 2go rooms which you have no control over and you still have to buy gocredit to access

It took a while, but then everyone made a switch

The thing about social networking is we need each other for a community to thrive, if all my friends are on WhatsApp I got to be on WhatsApp to connect with them, when I log into 2go and find nobody I'll leave, check them out on WhatsApp, after a while I stopped checking 2go, after a while I uninstalled the app

This is the same reason Telegram is not the default messaging app in Africa, people are used to WhatsApp, all our friends and family are on WhatsApp, bro you've got to give us free internet access for us to switch over, no kidding.

2go refused to pivot also, WhatsApp now has status, because without that people won't access the app unless they have messages, they want to keep you engaged, they want to give you a reason to open the app even when you haven't received a message notification. If only 2go had added a user feed, or a media status like that of WhatsApp, maybe it would have been a different story.

Would have made me feel good that my brothers from SA made a really popular social app.

Today all of Africa's social spaces are controlled by the western world, they know everything about us, even more than our government does. Yes, Facebook knows where you are now, your government doesn't even know where you currently live, they have no recent photo of you.

2go is that great fallen Iroko tree.

Phones / Re: Help!!! All My Media Files Have 'Disappeared' From My SD Card by pesty100(m): 6:46am On May 20, 2020
This is why I will never buy a phone memory card again in my life. I have bought memory on 2 occasions now that when I use the memory card for like 3 months, the memory card will just suddenly stop working, my phone wouldn't recognize the card neither will my laptop. The best is to save very well buy a phone with big memory like 128gb or 256gb, and try to backup your files at least once every month on a pc.
