adaobi123: I've been okay, thanks. How are you ? What's Portsmouth saying ?For me, its been great... Tomorrow for the open day, what was the department again? BTW, Portsmouth aint saying anything except for the exam cloud on and around campus... Have fun then |
adaobi123: check it outSure, I strongly recommend that.... |
Sky-walker:Boss, its been quite a long time. I arrived Portsmouth about 3 months ago and still peeping for jobs ooo.... |
adaobi123: good courses.I agree with her on this. Mechanical engineering in Portsmouth Uni is excellent... @Adaobi; How have you been? Did you have the opportunity to visit Portsmouth Uni for the Open day? It was started today and dont really know how long it will last.. |
FutureDon: @peteafrik88Ahhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!! No b small ooo and I always feel like sitting under thw sun of Portsmouth, all through the day... |
dannywest: GT naira mastercard, that day I tried 800 but they refused, but 600 went through600 is the maximum I think which is equivalent to 150k..... |
dannywest: Ivnt had issues with my account since aso you shouldnt. For the flight ticket, get one that allows you to change date, then you can always edit and extend the return date. This is the best answer to the airline stuff.... Just like an open dated ticket |
dannywest: Ive withdrawn 600 on lloyds, I think it depends on the ATM.Wow, which bank ATM do you use ![]() |
Dis Guy: depends on your bank and account type its generally £250-£400 dailyThe limit for Lloyds bank is 400 |
fiscalcliff: Thanks for the reply pete about the withdrawal limitsYes, I am drawing from my 9ja account, and banks are encouraging us cos of the xtra charge. For me I dont think there are drawbacks unless one uses it for fraud.... The best is withdraw and put it in your UK account. I am in Portsmouth and for the other question, I dont rili know about the airline games. When I was coming, I just bought a 1 way ticket |
fiscalcliff: Morning thread contributors who spit insight by their replies,For the ATM question, you are only allowed one withdrawal a day with an international card not exceeding b/w 400 - 600 GBP daily. I use GTBank master card on sainsbury's ATM and take up to 600 GBP while on Lloyd's it is 400 max. Barclays has refused to pay my card even on POS, i cant use my card anymore. |
worldnews: Pls bros...pardon me for too much questions: okay I agree since it will take 3weeks to process and am applying for STUDENT VISITOR VISA which is pretty easy... But my question is this, if I transfer the funds to my account and am NOT working, hope this will not affect my application?Capital NOPE... |
FutureDon: You got tired of your heavy jackets abi, heheheMy shouldas are kinda getting bigger nw from wearing em... |
adaobi123: When the summer comes you'll start complainingHow can I,when I have lived all my life in a summer like climate.... Abegi, I cant wait any longer |

adaobi123: I get rejected from jobs too, just keep on trying, don't worry.Thanx. Do you work there ATM ![]() |
adaobi123: Find a job in sainsburys or tesco'sDear, tried those and they keep turning me down.... Went for interview in one saunsburys in Farlington, Portsmouth and they replied with.... I have not been lucky to get an interview with Tesco though and I hope I will soon. Taken up a volunteer gardening role to boost my chances as they once told me in McDonalds... I have been wondering what the problem could be ![]() |
But on a serious note, its time I get something doing cos I am tired of this idleness... Any tip? Care job is actually my last option though |

adaobi123: i know i am a resident, but its still too cola naCapital letter GBAM!!!!! |
gunpoint: Bt u r Resident der na, wat do u den want freshers frm nigeria to do na?Leave resident out of the matter. The cold is much jooo and no1 gets used to this kind of weather.... Even british people have been complaining too |
ochukoccna: No way broBetter hustle no b small.... Well the spring, I dont even know how it looks like. But it has been one leg in the windy so called spring, the other other leg still in the cold winter. Wind that could lift a man off the ground plus cold and its annoying... God dey sha, we are here now and will tell good stories.... |
ochukoccna: HmnnI tire oooo... After all this hustle, I come turn scape goat |
adaobi123: lool the college i attend. drug testers normally aim at uni students because uni students are normally seen as broke and they will do anything for a bit of extra money, without noticing the risk of doing a drug trial.Thank you jooooo...... I have cancelled the plan. Aint interested any longer |
FutureDon: Errmmn, personally I don't see myself signing up for any drug-testing related study, apologies to the Pharmacologists. My research is actually a brain imaging study, you won't be able to participate Sir, as I'm recruiting people with a particular brain disorder. I'm assuming you don't have itYes, I dont have any at all |
adaobi123: thats why my college said we should not do them due to the fact that it may not end wellWhich college is that? Una don dey make me fear. |
FutureDon: I think it basically involves signing up to take part in clinically oriented experiments. For instance, I'm currently recruiting participants for my study, and they get compensated with some money (from Uni's pocket) for their time.If you dont mind, what is the pay to be a part in your research and the requirements. I am interested, maybe your can recruit me. I am available and in good health condition. |
