Sapphire86: Babe I honestly get where ur coming 4m. D problem wit datin sum1 older is dat dey ve outgrown their youth n are more settled on making sumthing out of their lives, it doesn't mean he loves u any less. Does he ve a fault in it? Yes cuz a relationship works only if both parties r willing 2 put in d work. Mark Zurkerberg is crazy f*ckin busy but he still takes tym 4 his wife. U need 2 learn hw relationship works btw older n younger generation but mostly importantly both of u need 2 compromise. I really feel he loves u so pls dt make any hasty decision cuz ur a dating a MAN and not a boy! Negotiate; ask 4 6hrs or a day in a wk where its just going 2 b d 2 of u. No calls, txts or BBMing and make most of that tym. Goodluck girl I totally agree with her on this one, dearie... |

Sky-walker: I dont know about any other city but in Portsmouth, there is a better chance of you getting a part time job being a care worker. Most of the guys i know who came in in September are doing that now. Thanx sir. I can cease being thankful, you have been of great help to me. The truth about the matter, is that I dont seem to fancy the care work, as the schedule seems so redundant. I am a very adventourous, pragmatic person and that seem to have affected my choice of work. Are there no jobs like gardening, cleaning or better still carpentry jobs as the case may be? |

My concern is just the best method on how I could make ends meet as a student in portsmouth. This issue of no jobs is kinda bothering me, driving me to find out any other substitute without keeping my life and visa at risk. Suggestions please from our folks that have schooled or still leaving there. |

esere826: 9) CHOOSE YOUR UNIVERSITY CAREFULLY: These rules are not straight jacket rules. Think not of the rules, but of its effects. The university you attend in the UK could make a huge difference in your life. Remember that I said earlier that UK is an elitist country. Attend one of the 10 best universities in the UK, and you do not need to change your communication one bit (oyibos might even happily struggle to want to hear you or to speak like you). You might even graduate with a 3rd class, and Recruiters from all over the world will headhunt you while you are still studying. But offcourse we know that this might be competitive and extremely costly to get into such universities. This is were you begin to twig your strategy. As the Universities drop in rating, work hard to make a 2.1 or first class. For example, if you make a first class in a very cheap university, you'll still go as far as someone that made a 2:2 from Oxford all depending on how you play your card
Avoid attending universities that are expensive and yet have no real value. Its actually better to attend cheaper universities and make excellent grades. Look out for universities were good companies such as accenture, shell, Lloyds actively recruit from. Pls, give an example. It will be appreciated by those that still have travelling to UK in mind. |

kelorm: Hello everyone, Compliments of the season. Please I will be submitting my application on the 2nd of January and I need to make a few clarifications before doing that. 1. My mum is my sponsor and am getting her statement of account with enough money to cover my remaining fees and maintenance. I also have a scanned copy of her passport bio data page. My question now is, the letter of consent should it be hand written by her or typed and signed by her 2. My school resumes on the 21st of january. I have requested an extension to February 4 but they replied that 4th of February is still around the enrolment period. But it wasn't stated on my CAS. Can I still go ahead and apply for my visa explaining this to the ECO or do I insist the school send my CAS stating the extension Will they be able to send it same day I ask for it 4. I read in the first part of this thread that BHC don't accept laminated documents am afraid most of my certificates are laminated. I hope there won't be a problem 5. There was a mistake in the spelling of my first name in my NECO certificate but I have an affidavit from the federal High court to correct that mistake. I hope am good to go
Below are the documents am submitting. Please help put me on the right track
International passport Tier 4 pbs form Vaf9 appendix CAS Statement of result(laminated) Transcript NECO cert and notarized affidavit (both laminated) Mums Statement of account Birth certificate (laminated) Letter from mum Mums passport bio data page 2passport photograph Oanda printout Photocopies of all documents |

I have been doing a lot of research on how life is for students in UK & have a question that has been on my mind for sometime now. Is it possible for a student on tier 4 visa in UK to undergo any other vocational training there, maybe to increase his/her chances to get a job in a vocational field? Any info on how one can do so easily, even though it will cost me some money. Thanx |
