Car TalkRe: Which Do You Prefer - Manual Or Automatic Transmission? by peterbello(m): 2:11pm On Sep 12, 2016
x240:
Most of you don't know how to drive.

It's very evident here. Overtaking when there's not enough clearance on the other side. An experienced driver knows to time his moves. You give atleast 14 to 20 feet behind the car. Sometimes you need to slow down and allow the vehicle in front gain enough distance then you do incremental acceleration. By the time you are over taking. You are already running at your needed speed. No need revving like a mad man and having near mishaps with oncoming vehicle.

The difference between a clean overtake and a nasty one is prolly a few seonds or a minute gain. Would you risk your
Bros is driving by the book in Nigeria. Lmao. One 'Big Joe' bus will squeeze itself into that 20 feet space you are giving and before u know it, 17 other vehicles would have displaced you. The down-shifting also requires good timing.
Car TalkRe: Which Do You Prefer - Manual Or Automatic Transmission? by peterbello(m): 10:28am On Sep 12, 2016
Lemme not lie. The time i miss the automatic the most is when she's wearing a skimpy dress beside me and I have to pause what my right hand is doing to her in order to change gear. wink

LadyMercedes:
D1 means the car won't exceed gear one. So what "burst of speed" are you talking about? undecided

Also, with automatic, it's never a good idea to change the gear while it's in motion.
Madam, you are not too wrong neither are you right about what you said.
Car TalkRe: Which Do You Prefer - Manual Or Automatic Transmission? by peterbello(m): 9:51am On Sep 12, 2016
Vorpal:
I just hope they don't phase out manual gears, cause that day, i will totally lose interest in driving henceforth.

Am still yet to get comfortable with automatic, it feels so odd and banal.

Take for example, i am moving at gear 3, so i want to overtake a long vehicle on time, i will proceed with the 3, then switch to gear 4 for a short time , then switch back to 3 and stomp on the gas pedal enough that jolts the speed up then when the gear has revved up enough put it back to 4, voilà!

How odd will it be pulling that trick on an automatic, if possible sef?
it's very possible on the automatic. That's what your D2 gear position is for.

Car TalkRe: Have Kids Ever Written Crazy Stuffs On Your Car ? by peterbello(m): 1:16am On Sep 10, 2016
lol. Very annoying cos they'll all deny it. After spanking their butts a few times, I came to terms with it. Kids will always be kids. Come to think of it, they are not the only source of scratches on the car. God is just using them to answer the car painter's prayer.
Now, it's the happy dog that jumps and rests its front paws on the car to welcome me that is the issue.

Car TalkRe: What Are The Benefits Of Havin Some States Plate Numbers, how Are They Allocated? by peterbello(m): 12:21pm On Jun 06, 2016
jaelz:
I mean everybody knows the importance of plate numbers but what i don't understand is why the variations in states, there's this young lieutenant in my barracks he recently got a very clean mercedes that his been using for some time now i mean for like 6months without a plate number, he is in Lagos and his from the western side of Nigeria but he finally and recently got his plate number fixed on his car and lo and behold i saw Nassarawa State...

Please i seriously need deep clarifications
OP, before you get clarifications on number plates, I think you need to get clarifications on the use of periods/full stop (.) in your write-ups. You should use them. They help a lot. You just fuuckked up some commas here....literally.

But are you aware that you are just hearing one side of the whole story? Your father's side and narrated by your father. If you ask me, I'll tell you to look for her. You don't have to get close to her afterwards. God forbid that the wife you eventually marry turn out to be your sister.

OP, I wish you the best as you search for your dad but keep your expectations low. If it turns out fine, you give thanks to God and if it doesn't, you move on with life. I can't help but wonder about the irony of life. Some don't know their dad and feel they've missed an important part of their life. Some others know their dads but the dads haven't been of any use aside bringing them to the world. Then there are those too, who wish they were in your shoes. It goes on and on. This life sha.
LiteratureRe: These 5 Books Helped Me The Most In Life. Let Me See Yours. By Ilegend by peterbello(m): 2:57pm On May 26, 2016
iLegend:
These 5 books helped me the most in life. Let me see yours.

These are books I'm not supposed to reveal to anyone. They're my secret weapons.

Revealing it will make me expose my secrets.

I'm thinking of not posting this.
I'm not really cool posting this, but I know this will definitely help somebody.

Something is pushing me to press the submit button!

I hope the wise boys/men in the house will take advantage of this.

If you're a lady let your boyfriend or male friends know some of these books. But the side effect is, if they know all these you'll probably lose them to other women.

Women can't resist a man who has the qualities contained in these books and it does not require money, height or looks to acquire them.

I can kill for these books. I guarantee 100% success on these books!

These are my Top 5 Practical Books Ever.

5. Comedy Writing Secrets by Mel Helitzer.
(I have a natural sense of humor, but this book amplified it. Be careful with this book. You might become funnier than Okon.)

4. 48 Laws of Power by Robert Greene
(Some people love to use others, but this book stops it or make you become a better player on deception. Be carful with the dangers of this book.)

3. Double Your Dating by David DeAngelo.
(I never knew my ways around women. This 90 page book changed me in hours and I couldn't believe it. This would've been my number one.)

2. Sex God Method by Daniel Rose.
(I was boring in bed, but this book stopped it. This is only for bad boys that want to get a girl addicted to sex. Be careful, you're about to hurt another man's daughter via sexual addiction. Being so good in bed is FAR better than being so good with books.)

1. Eja.culation Trainer (ETrainer) by Matt Gordon.
(I never lasted long enough during sex, but this book practically blew me away and placed me among the 1% of men that can last forever in the bed without any enhancer. If not for this book my sexual ego or my overall confidence would've been on ground floor.)

Notable Mentions:

Dangerous Man Adventurous Woman by David Dida.
(About women and their crazy wishes.)

Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hills.
(About business and being rich.)

My Secret Garden by Nancy Friday.
(About female fantasies and how naughty women truly are.)

Rich Dad Poor Dad by Robert Kiyosaki.
(About money and being rich.)

How to Win Friends and Influence People by Dale Carnegie.
(About humility and being a leader.)

English Blue Grammar by I can't remember.
(About simplified grammars and punctuations.)

— Too numerous to mention.

I don't know if I still have these books again. I had all the soft copies of these books, but it's better you buy them from the Authors, else you'll not value them.

My secrets are gone!
God, I hope I won't regret this.

I'll probably take this down if I wake tomorrow morning feeling bad!

Share your top 2, 4 or 5 books with us. The ones you are practically applying in your day to day activities.

iLegend.

Modify: Yes, we all know the greatest books are religious books like the Bible and Quran, but we ain't talking religion here. Please bear with me on that. Maybe I'll post top 5 Evergreen Books!
If "The Richest Man in Babylon" is not in your list, then I am afraid the list is only good for the trash can.
LiteratureRe: What's Your Favorite Novel Of All Time? by peterbello(m): 1:47pm On May 26, 2016
Drefan2:
My favourite Novel has to be Terry Goodkind's The Sword of Truth novels series.

If you have not read this book then you really are missing out on a glorious experience.

Since I came across this extraordinary book mid last year, I have been glued to my screen like a hungry leech.

Everything about this book is just magnificent. The characters, the Wizard's rules and how they are tightly, beautifully, if not perfectly, embedded in each book, how all the cascading events in the series are precisely woven together into one gigantic lop is mind-boggling.

Suspense that will make your mind race in a sudden rush. At times when I read up to a thrilling part, I can't just help but to drop my phone, stand up, close my eyes, grinning joyously and I flow with the moment into another world.

The Feeling is bliss.

Christianity EtcRe: Should I Pay My Tithe Or Pay My Brother's School Fees? by peterbello(m):
Ytechconst:
If truly you believe in the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ and you read your bible and digest it in the right way then how will you interprete this bible passage:

Malachi 3:10 Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.

Do not quote me wrong. The Lord will still bless you but my brother blessing has measures. If you look at the last sentence of the passage it says

“AND POUR YOU OUT BLESSING THAT THERE SHALL NOT BE ROOM ENOUGH TO RECEIVE IT”

So my obedience makes me have more than enough. So whenever i am obeying God through tithing and seed sowing i am certain that the money is leaving my pocket but not leaving my life because its gonna come back to me in large measures.
Please I want to ask. How do you locate the Levites you give your tithes to? Cos I didn't see anywhere in the Bible where the people were told to give their tithes to Pastors. I also want you to cite verses in the New Testament where the apostles were receiving tithes.
I still don't get why we selectively follow some parts of the Old Testament and leave some other parts.

If you are gonna pay ur tithe cos of the blessings you cited and leave a neighbour in need then you are a selfish, self -centred and wicked person. You don't want to help someone cos of the 'windows of heaven' you wanna open for yourself.

Nothing spoil sef. If he doesn't pay his tithe, he won't die. If he believes in tithing, he can pay the school fees now and pay the tithe with interest the next month.

Hello Nairalanders, so I have an issue I would like to share with you all...
It may sound silly but it's really important to me..

I don't live to drink factory made juice extracts ( F*ve alive, fum*n fruit juice, chiv*ta) etc

So my wife decided to use regular blenders to blend fruits to make juice for me, I don't enjoy it because the shaft from the fruit remains in my drink.

She also tried the regular juice extractor, this didn't help either because I still get shaft in my juice.

I need fresh homemade juice without shaft in it...

Help me save my marriage...

I love my wife and I love freshly prepared homemade juice...Please what can i do?
Be taking ppussyy juice then. It doesn't have chaff and fresh and homemade.
