Go and check what is called REPRICING.

The Nigeria economy recently got out of recession and lots of positive indicators are springing up. etc. Rise in oil price as well that will lead to a positive chain reaction.

OANDO & TRANSCORP are the two most sentimental stocks on NSE..

So expect TRANSCORP to rise like never before.

I do not think fuel at N180 is bad, I'm of the school of thought that govt. should completely take its hands off importation of fuel.

I know for sure that Nigeria business's are very competitive. If we leave the market open, I can guarantee you that we may only buy fuel at N175-180 reason being that more people would import and flood the market, price is meant to come down.

I remember that while the crude oil price was down some marketers sold fuel at N143 because they was so much product in the market. Now that the price of crude oil is up it is suppose to reflect on the pump price.

What the NNPC is doing is subsidizing fuel price artificially, how do you import large tons of fuel at a landing cost of N170 and sell at N145 taking huge losses. This govt is doing the same thing it preached against just that it is going about it the other way. And they can't hike fuel price cos that would create mass action, since they stood against an open market in the past regime.

We must tell ourselves the truth, this government is still subsidizing, but the difference is that NNPC is taking the losses, hence money that should accrue to the govt for expenditure on other capital projects is wasted.
With this info TRANSCORP is heading back to N7:00k.

2013/2014 trading season comes to mind...Still on full bid...

InvestmentRe: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by PETERiCHY(m): 7:24am On Dec 23, 2017
Very lucid reasoning.

The major secret of billionaires is their ability to find solutions to the challenges of humanity. All of them created solutions that brought the billions. Presently, Bill Gates is spending millions of dollars in search of renewable energy. By the time he finds one and become a major player in the electricity industry, we will say he is lucky. But we forget that he didn't pray for financial breakthrough, he only found a solution to a global problem.

Wealthy people don't necessarily look for money, they create solutions, and money will follow them! Larry Page and Sergey Brin went all out to help humanity find things faster on the internet, and billions of dollars followed them. Mark Zuckerberg created platforms for socialization, and over $71 billion followed him. Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak went all out to reduce the size of computer. What problems are you solving for humanity?

Some people spend weeks on the mountain praying for financial breakthrough without knowing what to do to be rich. They just want to be rich anyhow. It doesn't work that way. Real wealth comes through solving problems. Real wealth comes when we take a critical look around us, see the challenges that surrounds us, and proffer solutions to them.

One of the major reasons why millions of Africans live below the poverty line is our belief that magic wands will suddenly mint money for us. How many cups of mustard seeds did Mark Zuckerberg eat that made him an 'instant' billionaire? How many bottles of anointing oil did Jeff Bezos drink that turned him into an overnight owner of Amazon?

This is how potential billionaires pray: "Dear Lord, Nigeria has elecrity problem and I want to solve it. Lord, baptise me with fresh ideas on how to solve this problem, and connect me to the right partners to make it happen. Thank you Lord." God will definitely download creative ideas into their minds.

Unfortunately, this is how majority of us pray: "Oh Lord, I command anyone who said that I will not prosper to collapse and die by fire!" Another person will say: "Lord, I need financial favour. I need divine connections. I need financial breakthrough urgently. Lord send money to me today." When God listens to our prayers sometimes, I believe He will look down from the balcony of heaven and wonder why we failed to understand that wealth creation opportunities surrounds us.

*I'm not belittling prayer, but most of us pray amiss*; I pray myself.

Dear friend, it is time to change your thinking and prayer pattern. Stop looking for shortcut to the top, start looking for the problems you can solve for humanity. Money is actually a reward for solving problems for people.

Keep soaring!

Only those that trade on HOPE will wait for the outcome of the Supreme Court judgements between Innoson and GTB. Non sentimental traders are already bailing out assuming Observer status!
Innocent Chukwuma, OFR, and Innoson Nig Ltd. have filed a fresh lawsuit against Guaranty Trust Bank PLC in the High Court of Federal Capital Territory, Abuja claiming a total sum of 400 billion Naira damages for injury to their reputation, moral character, credibility, office, vocation and trade. They also seek for an order of perpetual injunction restraining GT Bank from further defaming them.

The lawsuit which was filed by Innocent Chukwuma’s counsel, Prof Joseph N Mbadugha Esq, is sequel to a recent decision by the Supreme Court of Nigeria in favour of Innoson Nigeria Ltd. in Appeal No: SC/694/2014 between GTB v. Innoson Nig Ltd. There, on 12th May 2017, the Supreme Court dismissed GT Bank’s Application.

It must be noted that Innoson Nigeria Ltd had won various lawsuits against GT Bank. On 29th July 2011, the Federal High Court, Ibadan Division, through a garnishee order absolute ordered the Defendants (GT Bank) to pay the sum of N2,048,737,443.6K ( Two Billion, Forty Eight Million, Seven Hundred and Thirty Seven Thousand, Four Hundred and Forty Three Naira, Sixty Seven Kobo) to Innoson Nigeria Ltd.

GTBank however appealed against the judgment to the Court of Appeal, Ibadan Division. In a unanimous judgment, delivered on 6th February 2014, the Court of Appeal dismissed the appeal, affirmed the judgment of the trial Court and ordered the Defendant (GT Bank) to pay the said sum of N2, 048,737,443.6K (Two Billion, Forty Eight Million, Seven Hundred and Thirty Seven Thousand, Four Hundred and Forty Three Naira, Sixty Seven Kobo) to Innoson Nigeria Ltd.

Still aggrieved, the Defendant (GT Bank) appealed to the Supreme Court on 11 Grounds. Subsequently, GT Bank sought to amend its notice of appeal- to adduce Fresh Evidence- to show that Innoson Nigeria Ltd obtained the judgment of the Court of Appeal by fraud and fraudulent suppression of material facts.

GT Bank had through its motion on notice in Appeal No: SC/694/2014 dated the 22nd of January 2016 and filed at the Supreme Court on the 5th of February 2016, with a 15 paragraph affidavit in support averred that Innoson Nigeria Ltd obtained the Court of Appeal Judgment against GT Bank in Appeal No CA/I/258/2011 by fraud.

Similarly, at paragraphs 9 and 10 of the affidavit in support of the said motion on notice deposed to by Sarah Ugamah on behalf of GT Bank, GT Bank said that Innoson Nigeria Ltd fraudulently suppressed that it was paid the sum of N1, 406,515,845.98 (One Billion, Four Hundred and Six Million, Five Hundred and Fifteen Thousand, Eight Hundred and Forty-Five naira, Ninety-Eight Kobo) in liquidation of the judgment debt.

However in a unanimous decision, on 12th May 2017, the Supreme Court dismissed the GT Bank’s said motion on notice; and while dismissing the motion, Supreme Court stated, inter alia, that GT Bank engaged in double speaking and in a frivolous frolic in bringing the application.

In the fresh suit Innoson Nigeria Ltd and Chief Innocent Chukwuma maintained that the words published by GT Bank –that it obtained the Court of Appeal Judgment by fraud and fraudulent suppression of the fact that Innson Nig. Ltd. was paid the sum N1, 406,515,845.98 in final liquidation of the judgment debt – implies that Innocent Chukwuma and Innoson Nigeria Ltd are dubious, dishonest, dishonorable, and untrustworthy, of questionable character, fraudster, criminally deceptive, cheats and obtaining money through false pretenses.

In consequence, Innoson Nigeria Ltd and Innocent Chukwuma are claiming against the GT Bank PlC as follows: N100 Billion exemplary damages; N100 Billion for injury to feelings-mental pains and anxiety; N150 Billion for injury to reputation and N50 Billion general damages. Innoson Nig Ltd. and Chief Innocent Chukwuma further claim:

AN ORDER that the published words complained of be retracted by the Defendant – GT Bank with an apology published in two National dailies;

AN ORDER of perpetual injunction restraining the GT Bank from further maligning

Lafarge Africa Plc at the weekend closed application list for its N131.65 billion rights issue, rounding off the subscription to its major capital raising aimed at deleveraging its balance sheet and rebuilding a more supportive capital base.

Lafarge Africa had on November 24, 2017 launched an offer to raise N131.65 billion through a rights issue of about 3.1 billion ordinary shares of 50 kobo each at N42.50 per share. The new shares were pre-allotted to shareholders on the basis of five new ordinary shares for every nine ordinary shares held as at the close of business on November 1, 2017. The acceptance list opened on Friday November 24, 2017 and ran till the close of business on Friday, December 15, 2017.

LafargeHolcim, which holds the majority equity stake of 72.59 per cent in Lafarge Africa, had earlier indicated it would subscribe fully to its rights. LafargeHolcim had proposed to pick up its rights under a debt-for-equities deal that will see conversion of LafargeHolcim's dollar-based loan to equities.

Chairman, Lafarge Africa Plc, Mr. Mobolaji Balogun, said the recapitalisation would help to reduce the group's exposure to adverse foreign currency translation losses as experienced in 2016 following a 40 per cent depreciation of the Naira against the Dollar.
