Tomoarika: Hello all.

They say desperate times call for desperate measures.

I am a recent graduate of Elect/Elect Engineering who completed NYSC last year. I have certifications in Project Management and Health & Safety. I have also done courses in Computer Networking (CCNA) and ITIL service management.

However despite all these, I'm presently unemployed. I have sent unsolicited and solicited applications to several places and hardly ever get feedback except from banks (awaiting interviews for UBA, Heritage and others like NIMC as well) but I don't see myself as a banker in the long term (I did my NYSC in a bank btw).
Even Tuesday Guardian and Nairaland job section don turn to my companions sef.

Engineering firms recruiting trainee Engineers usually demand for candidates with at least 2years experience (what a paradox!)

What I seek, is an opportunity to develop myself as an Engineer and gain industry experience. Huge financial renumeration is not paramount to me.

Pls is there anyone out there (preferably a small engineering firm) who can be of any help? Advice, suggestions, etc. I would be most grateful. Thanks

I have never seen a Networking vacancy that asks for Computer science Degree it is usually Elect/Elect with CCNA, CCNP so I don't Know where you stand in the Networking field witheven a masters degree in computer network mangement

Am surprised you are saying this, with your CCNA certification you can get numerous jobs check out wwwdotjobbermandotcom, try wwwdothotnigerianjobsdotcom another good site is www.OLX.com

As afield man, you have to now choose btw electrical and electronics, My guess is that you are more of electronics so think of getting Java or .Net certification you can get a beginer salary of 60k

Telnet in VI, Lagos is currently recruiting Electrical Electronincs Engineers with CCNA, Just Google career at Telnet

but their are jobs available bank graduate trainee etc keep trying in fact if you want a blue caller job not electrical or elctronics which I can get you one, it pays 30k
