Think about the engine block of a car, it is casted. Why? To withstand heat, pressure!
Casting means the metal was melted and poured into a mold to form the outer and inner sides of the door. Unlike ordinary doors that are sheets of pans welded together.
Did you know that those designs you see on ordinary doors are just embossed? Dem just pressed the pan sheet with something.

Hello Car Dr. & car Gurus in the house. I own a Nissan Altima 2003 S model. Whenever i change gear from P to R or to D or from D to R, the car jerks. Changing from N to D is worst! The jerking is more pronounced when I've driven the car for about 45mins to 1 hr. I'm not short of oil and the engine seats aren't bad.

Please how do i fix this problem?

My mechanic recently suggested that i get the gear serviced by just draining the oil, cleaning all dirts and putting fresh oil. But I'm afraid this could do more harm than good.

Please advise.
