Politics / Re: Secondus: PDP May Boycott 2023 Polls Without Electoral Reforms by petnuel(m): 8:20am On Jan 29, 2020
Electoral reform campaigners championed by PDP? Which party bastardized our electoral system? The elections PDP won prior to 2019, how did they win?
In the states PDP won in 2019, how did they win? Secondus should simply say that from the handwriting on the wall, that his party is unable to win the next election and that they are ready to withdraw from the election to avert the defeat that surely awaits them in 2023.

A job they didn't want to do in prison so that people won't know they killed him, they now sent armoured tanks.

You get sense at all?

Saraki can bounce...surely. But he will never be SP, VP, or the president of Nigeria. He can go to senate again, go to HOR, chair committees, be PDP chairman , minister etc etc

Amumaigwe:

Your points are mortally weak. We were weaving and wearing clothes, living in houses before the so called civilization. Weather their civilized houses and clothes are better or not, everywhere houses are primarily for shelter, and clothes for covering unclothedness. What we had before civilization met those needs. Furthermore, there is nothing like Igbo god. We have 'Chiukwu' (Almighty God), who is the same God we worship today.

I was fascinated when I read the first line of your reply. My interest was simply to see how my "points" were " mortally weak"! I am sincere to tell you that you have a little knowledge but you are not knowledgable enough to engage in this intellectual exchange.

First of all, what generation of your forefathers weaved and wore clothes? By that era, were boys your present age and kids wearing those clothes or were there stark naked. Until 1990, children in some parts of Igbo land were still roaming around naked even with ok clothes "very available and cheap". Wearing clothes was to them a great luxurious treat! The question here is, does Edochie wear the kind of clothes his forefathers weaved and wore? No!!!!
As what he had in the traditional Igbo culture meet the needs of clothing and housing, does Edochie today live in the traditional Igbo mud house? Does he still trek 10 miles to go fetch the stream water with a breakable keg less than 7liters? No!!!!
So, why is he selective in holding on to the Igbo tradition since the Igbo traditional approach to life is the best? He should adopt the original unadulterated tradition of the people, that is what real men would advocate. It is cowardice to Express your personal opinion or disgust and in the guise of cultural advocacy!

Finally, I am greatly disappointed that you actually wrote this-
Amumaigwe:

here is nothing like Igbo god. We have 'Chiukwu' (Almighty God), who is the same God we worship today.

No doubt, you are a very small boy and I encourage you to grow up. Polytheism is the core of the original Igbos original. Like the Greeks, the people had many gods for different purposes. Some of the gods include; Ani, Kamalu or Amadioha, Ogwugwu, Agwu, Agwu Nsi, Anyanwu, Eke,
Orie, Afor,Nkwo, Udo, Idemili, Otamiri etc. It is proof of your shallow religious knowledge to claim that Chiukwu is the christian Almighty God. It is your kind that will say that the Islamic Allah is the same christian God.
Chiukwu is adjudged the biggest of all the gods in Igbo cosmology and mythology! It was therefore, convenient for the then language translators to translate God (foreign to the people) to chiukwu (that the people know). Translations are never perfect and can be very challenging. Many languages are incomplete due to geographical composition. It's a big deal to translate anthill (we have in Africa to some European languages where u dont have anthills due to the temperate nature of the area. Igbos will say onu ozo(r).

You can support Mr Edochie on his own opinions but thre is no crime in having my own opinions running parallel to his jaundiced views.
Politics / Re: Why Igbo Men Should Not Kneel Down To Propose To A Lady – Pete Edochie by petnuel(m): 5:55pm On Jan 23, 2020
I hope Edochie does not wear cloth because wearing cloth is part of his "western civilisation ".
I also hope Edochie does not use phone because phone is not part of Igbo tradition.
Does Edochie live in a modern house or in the traditional mud house with rafter palm roof ?
Doe he worship the traditional Igbo gods or the western God?
How come this traditional thought of Edochie is conveyed through western medium of communication? What happened to the traditional Igbo gongs and town criers?

Oga, face your front abeg

Lolz, I really can not let this slide.
Schooled in a boarding school of both gender in a village,
In south south but living with my family in south west
Was in sss2 second term when i was deboarded for entering th girls hostel around 1 a.m to see my sss3 gf.
My parents now rented an accommodation close to school which is opposite my vice principal house.
So we see each other almost everyday, so almost every evening he keeps seeing me with different girls coming to see me from the village.
He could not take it anymore, he called me out one assembly morning and said am a useless boy that deboarding me was a wrong choice.
He took senior student to pack my stuffs from my house back to the hostel by force.

Did interpol first announce their intention of getting Mompha arrested before they picked the guy?

Did they announce they will pick up Maina in Abuja before they arrested him and his son?
