Did you say Nigerians dominate Ghanaian Ghana? And who told you that Nigeria is richer than Ghana per capita?
DroppingLiquid: It's so prominent in Nigerian society. Why do they brokeshame despite being world's poverty capital? I've also lived in Ghana for a while, which is another poor African country dominated by Nigerians, and it's not like that there. Same thing in Kenya. These are all Africans like us. So what's different?
Can you imagine! You have never been to Ghana and yet you talk as if you know everything?
Well, there is nothing like yourabaland in Ghana, Yes, there are Yorubas from Nigeria who have lived for about 100 years in Ghana, but they are Nigerians who came to hustle in Ghana. I believe there are Ghanaians who have lived in Nigeria for many years. Are these Ghanaians Nigerians because they have lived in your country for many years?
You mentioned Amedzofe. To the best of my knowledge Amedzife is in the Volta region. Yes it is in the Eastern part of Ghana. But the people of Amedzofe are Ewes and have nothing to do with Yoruba. I don’t know where you got your history from. But you need to review your source or information.
lawani: Go and make the research. I have never been there but there is Yoruba land in Eastern Ghana. I think around fifty towns in all and there is Ife in Ghana that is not even on Ghanaian Yoruba but owned by people who believe they are the same thing as Yoruba. Amadzofe. qualifies as the site of an ancient Ife.
Many sh*ts are going on in Ghana? Like what? By the way, is Nigeria better? Are you aware your National Assembly wants to impeach a Buhari because of his incompetence abd the hardship? If nigeria is heaven, why will lawmakers want to impeach Buhari? Today, kidnappers have taken over nigeria and issuing threats and ultimatums upanddown They are even threatening to kidnap Buhari
By the way, I live in Accra
ParpahSeventy: The time and energy involved in trying to say one thing and folks like you misunderstand it for another thing is what I can use to pull reasonable strings and yield profitable results, there are so many sh*ts going on in Ghana that if I start to talk about them, it will look like am trying to downgrade Ghana and it's citizens (which I know you are not one). So I will pass over the point trying to say the negative things about Ghana which runs round the whole continent as well as Nigeria, you know why I will not say anything? Because the moment I do, you will turn to say I either hate Ghana or jealous of Ghanaians, the fact still remains, Ghana is in shambles if you want to know, get yourself acquainted with what's going on in Ghana, when you do, maybe we can have a reasonable conversation, till then...
Frankly, it won' be a bad idea to have Nigerians leave Ghana. I don't even know what Nigerians are looking for in Ghana after the Ghana-Must -Go episode.
Nigeria Must Go to other countries
kay29000: This is kind of true. My friend in Ghana was complaining to me this evening that the inflation in naija is still learning compared to inflation in Ghana right now. He said bus fare that used to be 150 naira equivalent last year is now like 500 naira equivalent right now. He said he is planning to come back to naija, even after I told him how crazy things are here right now.
Ghana is in shambles? Yes, prices of goods and services have gone up in Ghana, but hasn't prices gone up in Nigeria as well?
Ghana may be in shambles but Ghanaians still get electricity 24/7 Ghana may be in shambles but Ghanaians sleep with their two eyes closed at night Ghana may be in shambles but bandits are not threatening to kidnap the president of Ghana ooh Ghana may be in shambles but universities have not been closed for five months and counting ooh Ghana may be in shambles but Nigerians are still running to Ghana in droves
[s]
ParpahSeventy: Ghana is in shambles, people who don't update themselves think Ghana is paradise.
Yorubas and associated people in Eastern Ghana? Where in Eastern Ghana?
lawani: Even West Africa is too large. Not needed. The Yorubas in West Africa and associated people in Togo, Benin republic and eastern Ghana will be over 100 million in population all having attachment to the Ife culture and having sites of ancient Ifes on their lands. To merge them together under one sovereign nation is the right thing since they already see themselves as one.
Stop weaving hyperbolic tales, huh? What has citifm got to do with this?
Nigeria origin of abossey Okai, Nima? Is Abossey Okai or Nima a name synonymous with Nigeria? Is there a place in Nigeria named Abossey Okai or Nima?
The fact that Ghana’s Chief imam originally came from Nigeria means Ghanaians are a more tolerant people because a Ghanaian cannot go to Nigeria and become the chief imam. And the fact the the Chief imam came from Nigeria add nothing to history or prove any of the points you are struggling to prove.
Hausas in Ghana are immigrants from Nigeria ,niger etc. They are not part of Ghana’s history.
Akans can be found in Ghana and Ivory Coast. The Akans in Ivory Coast are indigenous to Ivory Coast, while the Akans in Ghaba are indigenous to Ghana. Former Ivorian President Felix Houphouet-Boigny was an Ivorian of Bailey/Akan origin.
Go and study your history and stop peddling half-truths
mdntiri: Citifm organises a monthly Heritage month in March every year where astute Ghanaian historians talk about the origins of some Ghana names, places etc. The Nigeria origins of Nima, Abossey okai spare parts business, Makola etc are all documented. Our current chief imam's father or grandfather is a Nigerian migrant etc etc
There're some Ghanaian families too that moved to Nigeria in those early days and made names for themselves. The Fante kramo (muslims) of Central region are Senegal soldiers who were brought here by the colonists to assist them. The Hausa are indigenous to Nigeria and Niger. The Hausa of Ghana are Nigeria migrants who were brought here by the colonists, came here to trade etc. These are all documented "facts"
Ghana's influence is what we have over ivory coast. Where about 50% of Ivorians are essentially made up of Akan people who fled there in the olden days. The Ivorians don't dispute this.
Don't waste my time with crap, huh? Ewes and Ga people don't have anything in common. And that is a fact you have to accept.
Give me one thing that links Ewes, Ga with Yoruba. Is it language? food? dressing? language? culture? even names? name one and stop pontificating with trash, huh?
And please don't waste my time copying and pasting trash, huh? Good night.
You sound very desperate to make claims you can’t even support?
The Ewe and Ga tribes migrated from Yourubakand? And where is your evidence? What are the characteristics that bind both ethnic groups to Yorubaland? The Ga and Ewe languages have nothing in common with Yoruba. Ewes and Ga have very different cultures from Yoruba. So where is the link?
Please don’t waste my time with needless arguments, huh? You can look elsewhere for your lost Yoruba kinsmen. They are not in Ghana.
Christistruth00: Both the Ewe and Ga Tribes Of Ghana Migrated from Yorubaland they are also in Togo where Ewe is the Largest Ethnic Group Of Togo
Atakpame Area Of Togo is also part of Yorubaland with authentic Yoruba Speaking Yorubas called the Ife
Naija boy, calm down, huh? Ghana is not broke and Ghana will never be broke in Jesus Name!
Yes, Ghana is facing economic challenges, just like any other country, including your country Nigeria! So quit celebrating Ghana’s temporary challenges okay? Ghana is facing challenges like other countries but trust me Ghana will soon bounce back. Petrol sells in Ghana for about 1000 naira per litre. If petrol sells at 1000 Naira per litre in Nigeria, how many Nigerians can afford to buy it? I think Ghanaians deserve some respect!
Nigerians will not buy fuel at 160 naira per litre for ever. And have you ever considered how the average Nigerian will cope when fuel subsidies are lifted? Ghana has taken some difficult but sustainable decisions that will help their economy to bounce back in no time. The efficiency level is higher in Ghana than Nigeria. Which is why Ghanaians enjoy regular electricity. They can sleep with their two eyes closed at night. Ghanaian children go to primary and secondary school for free. They are even fed and clothed by the Ghanaian government. People are not being kidnapped on the streets for ransom as in some countries And yet some Nigerians think Ghana is in crisis? Fuckeduppedness
tensazangetsu20: Yes o, things are very hard in Ghana. Inflation rate is like twice ours. Serious unemployment and a host of economic issues. Their government is also very broke. I schooled in Ghana, when I gained admission a dollar was equal to a cedi. When I left, one dollar was equal to 5 cedis. Right now its 8 cedis to one dollar. 800 percent currency devaluation under 10 years. Africa is doomed even South Africa has serious economic problems at the moment and thats the best country in Africa
Which “incontrovertible answers” are you talking about? By the way, why are Nigerians soo desperate to sell themselves as having conquered all in West Africa? This “history” you are spinning exist in the minds of conceited Nigerians and their foreign cohorts. Tell me one Ghanaian history book that confirms all these crap?
what does abbosey okai, Nima etc have in common with Nigeria? And where is that HEAVY Nigeria origins you pontificate?
La Paz, is a popular Accra suburb. It is also the name of the capital city of a southern American country. Tell me, what is the connection between La Paz in South America and La Paz in Accra?
mdntiri: You know you can easily look up these questions you're asking right? I'm glad Chrisistruth is giving you incontrovertible answers.
Our makola (original is mokola in Ibadan), abossey okai, nima etc have HEAVY Nigeria origins. When you know these stuff, you'd act differently
I will a$vise yiu to look for your Yoruba descendants else. They are not in Ghana
I don’t know any indigenous group in Ghana that shares anything with Yorubas in Nigeria
christistruth01: There are 2 Sets of Tabons those Yoruba that migrated directly to Accra from Nigeria to help them fight in War and the former Yoruba Slaves that were returning home from Brazil but were persuaded to settle with the Ga by the Ga king
And how did Brazilian slave descendants originate from Nigeria and ended up in Ghana?
mdntiri: The Tabons are in Ga mashie, the Jamestown area. They're Brazilian slave descendants who were accepted by the Ga to live amongst them. Azumah Nelson is a famous Tabon. They've been absorbed into Ga/Ghanaian community.
Some of you people are just pathetic! Is Lagos or Nigeria better? Nigerians face your problems and leave Ghana alone! Haba! What kind of bad belle is this?
bigboyk: Accra, the capital city of Ghana was widely regarded as one of the most beautiful and elegant cities in Africa.
With the recent negligence by the authorities of the city, it is gradually becoming a shadow of itself.
Flooding, noise pollution and recklessness have all contributed in making the city unhealthy and unbearable to live in.
Ghana is in a mess now? How did you arrive at this stvpid claim? Yes, times are a bit difficult in Ghana, and so it is in Nigeria and other countries. It is a global thing, not a Ghana thing. Or is your country Nigeria doing better than Ghana?
Ghana may be in “a mess” but they still get regular electricity. Ghana may be in “a mess” but people are not being kidnapped upanddown Ghana may be in “a mess” but the Ghana Black Stars will always dominate the Super Eagles Ghana may be in “a mess”:yet every Ghanaian child has a great opportunity to go to school and be fed for free by the government. Ghaba may be in a mess but life expectancy is far higher than that of Nigeria
aariwa: Ghana is in mess now because their current leader is clueless.Ironically all the leaders that brought glory to Ghana from J Rawlings to the immediate past one had first names that start with John. The failing leader is the first non John to rule Ghana in more than 25 years
Tarbon of Ghana? Who are the Tarbons in Ghana? Where can they be found!
Christistruth00: Read what I wrote again Ewe , Ga, Egun of Ghana, Togo, Benin Republic all descended from Oduduwa and migrated from Yorubaland though they speak the Language of their Akan Gbe Neigbhours
By the Way the Yorubas also have bona fide Yorubas in Benin Republic and in Togo and some of the Tarbon of Ghana still speak Yoruba language
The Ewe that are the biggest Tribe in Togo migrated from Yoruba Oyo and Ketu and they Acknowledge it
Why Accra Hearts of Oak, the best football team in the world, and not enyimba or Kano pillars?
Look, Accra Hearts of Oak is my darling team, so show respect, huh? I love only two teams in the whole wide world. 1. Accra Hearts of Oak 2. The Black Stars
Phobia, the boys are good!
airmark: Already kicked him in his scrotal sac on their thread. I would be shocked if Boathand wasn't shortlisted. Nobody to carry Raumdeuter's calamitous defender to win trophies again.
Flopped in Man city, flopped in Lyon, he will still flop in Accra heart of oaks of Ghana
You call it rivalry? I call it ………. . Just admit it, Nigerians generally hate Ghana and Ghanaians. True or false?
MorataFC: it's not hatred bros, it is football bantery, many of my friends are man u fans, my wife is telemodu fan my first daughter is Arsenal's despite all my effort to convince her to join the blue family, while my boy is barca's. Though they are young I still believe they will still join the undefeated & unconqurable blue army. So it is not hatred but football rivalry.
And Nigerians will be shouting Ghanaians hate them? The kind of hatred Nigerians have for Ghana and Ghanaians…………. I once lived in your country and saw it with my naked eyes
MorataFC: Is that the reason u will bin him? One man's food is another man's poison, I liked him for that.
You are not aware Ghana produces natural gas? Ghana has enough gas for its domestic use. In fact more than enough sef. The only reason Ghana still imports small amounts of gas from Nigeria is simply because it is a long term supply contract which Ghaba cannot just walk away from.
hammer567: NO NEED TO SIGN WITH NIGERIA, BUHARI IS ALREADY LAYING PIPE TO MORROCO FOR THEM.
BY THE WAY, WHICH GAS GHANA GET? IS IT NOT NIGERIA GAS?
Ghana’s debt to GDP is one of the highest in the world? How did yiu arrive at that? I don’t think Ghana’s debt to GDP is more than 90%. I know many countries, including developed countries, such as Italy etc with debt to gdp exceeding 100%.
What do you have to say about Ghana's imminent debt default. I was looking at some data yesterday and you guys Debt to GDP is one of the highest in the world at 85%.
Infact your 5 year CDS spread is around 21%. The future economic outlook of your country is really bleak and this is putting it mildly.
Interesting how you are most worried about our political dynamics
Ghana will do well. Ghana has always done well on the big stage. They are not like another team that has gone to the World Cup five times but never crossed second round Ghana almost reached the semi final in 2010 haters go kpeme walahi
SuperEagles22: Ghana can do well in the world cup...I mean this is the same team that prevented Nigeria from entering the world cup....Ghana has a strong midfield and has strikers who take long shots at goal, and Ghana's defense is compact for an African defense.
Up blackstars!!!

By the way, how do you define one country “better” than another? Do you measure it by the prices of goods and services, or by what exactly?
You were in Ghana? Did you see people being kidnapped on the streets? You didn’t see electricity was stable and regular? Just these two things alone make Ghana a better country. You want Ghana, Cameroon etc government to give you, a foreigner, a job in their country? Are you serious?
Tycyborg: Thanks for this... I remember I use to listen to people saying ghana is better than Nigeria or benin republic or other african country... I decided to first go to ghana left my job to start a life there since it's better only for me to meet reality... I came down to benin republic no jobs nothing even people there are looking at me as a big man there whereas I am suppose to look up to them for jobs and other things... They were even asking me if they can follow me to Nigeria to start a life... I was shocked... I left and went to cameroon and same thing... Later I can back to nigeria with almost nothing... I started over again and haven gotten my foot like before I left... I faced hell in other countries... Eversince then I don't listen to people saying I want to travel out or nigeria Is worse than other country... When I came back finally I had to lie that I went outside Nigeria to work and I was scammed. I learned my lesson... So same happens to people all over the country... Many will regret few will be lucky to make it and few means very few... Since then if anyone is talking about travelling out to make it... All I tell them is go and see for yourself cos people don't like truth... It will only take you grace and huge luck to make it except you are into dirty business... Let the man be and have a taste of it who knows he might be among the few and there is higher possiblity that he will lament... People outside the country lies about the flamboyant lifestyle and movies is all bull sh*t... Most things are lies and most stories about Nigerians saying they make billions after travelling out are either into dirty business or just lying cos or disgrace they might face... I learned my lessons and let him learn too
How did Ghana “malign” Nigeria is in this matter? Every country has a right to take steps to protect its security and citizens, huh? Ghana is just following standard security procedures.
West Africa is in turmoil and you expect Ghana not to act when terrorists and hardened criminals break jail in Nigeria?
Moblux: The Ghanians have reasons to malign every Nigerian on their street...blaming Nigerians in Ghana for every crime
