A friendly against the Mighty Black Stars will have very little value for the Black Stars. Don’t you think so? I mean what will the Mighty Black Stars gain from such a friendly?

AndSunGorilla:
A friendly against the Mighty BS (subject to different interpretations) would be really great.

Chai naija grin very funny mudder fuggerx grin naija people get mouth eno be small ooh grin

If you meet Ghana again you will “destroy” them? Nigerians are like the loud mouthed bully who gets beaten. While he’s on the floor and been beaten, he keeps screaming …..”when I get up I will beat you ooh” grin hahahaha fuckeduppedness

Unfortunately for Nigerians, football is played on the field, not with mouth grin

By the way, do you remember the last time your Super Eagles beat the Mighty Black Stars? grin grin grin grin

Cocking:
Likewise me too but I've to accept the bitter truth that luck wasn't on our side during the playoffs against Ghana, they miraculously qualified ahead of the super eagles on goal aggregate (AE was the architect of our failure)
With what I've seen so far under josé peseiro, if we meet Ghana again, we go destroy dem without fear or favour of west Africa derby...

Tears, ke? grin You kidding me? Oh dear oh dear grin I should be in tears because Nigeria’s “under 17” beat Ghana’s under 17? grin I beg I no wan laugh, huh? You guys should continue grin una well done. Make una dey continue, huh? grin

But how come Nigeria beats Ghana in age group competitions, but the super eagles can’t beat the Black Stars? Can you explain that? grin

ChrisKels:
All these tears because you have been found out? Since the invention of the MRI machine, have you noticed that Ghana youth system has amounted to nothing? Can you name any set of your youth team that failed due to fielding young players and still managed to produce quality players?

MRI killed Ghana and elevated Nigeria because you guys can no longer cheat by fielding Grandpas. grin

The few times we failed to qualify, we got qualities like Alhassan, Ishaq, et al. When we did qualify, we got the Nachos, Osigoals, Chuks et al of this world.

Finally, no we don't parade league players at the U17 level, at least since the invention of the MRI, and we have been reaping the rewards by churning out young quality stars unlike Ghana.
PoliticsRe: What Do Igbos Of SE Really Want? Biafra, President, Referendum Or Restructuring? by PetroDolla2020: 12:18pm On Jun 19, 2022
What has the “smallness” of a country got to do with the value of its currency?

omoharry:
The thing tire me . This was how they thought they were the privilege one at the beginning of Buhari regime and started calling the SS & SE 5%. I thought that the SW by now would have been developed with less poverty ,less insecurity and advance infrastructure across all the SW state .
I was surprised to see them fighting to protect thier lands from Headmen. They also avoid traveling on land because of the increase rate of banditry. They also joined us in lamenting over the high cost of goods and services in the country and watch helplessly as our currency loses value before smaller countries like Benin Republic and Ghana.
We are not ready yet as nation .When we do ,nobody will tell us before we carry placard to force our leaders to either restructured the country or devide it.

What is “so good” about those grandkids from Burkina Faso? grin Oh Africa! I had goose pimples seeing those cheats calling these selves under 17.

I understand the Nigerian players in the Under 17 team play in the Nigerian premier league. If this is true, then it is unfortunate! Very unfortunate indeed!

I will be happy to see my country use players who are truly under 17 and lose, than use over aged players just because they want to win and be seen as “champion” grin which nonsense champion is that? cool

mostob:
Thanks.
I was misinformed.
Thank you for the correction.
I think it is safe to say Ghana is out and Nigeria better be well prepared.
Those Burkinababe are so good.

how can Ghana embarrass Africa when Ghana had performed far better at the world cup than Nigeria? If Nigeria has not disgraced Africa at the world despite never going beyond the second round after 6 appearances, why do you think Ghana will embarrass Africa? cool
pargelenis:
Ha ha my Ghana bro …. aka Torturè 2020. I am rooting for your dear Ghana to rock this Qatar 2022 but for goodness sake do not embarrass Africa there and commot for first round …

rvp2018:
I know you're mad man but for sake of others - let me engage you.

The last large public investment Ghana did was 1960s buiding of volta dam.

Otherwise most of the investment came from IPPS - as of 2016 - private sector were doing 2000MW compared to 2500MW that gov of Ghana has invested (with 1,000MW being the Volta dam built by Nkurumah ages ago).

The participation of independent power producers (IPPs) in Ghana has continued to grow since the thermal Takoradi Power Station was first built in Aboadze in 2004. Indeed, IPPs are quickly catching up to public generation in terms of capacity. As of October 2017, the power capacity that is provided by IPPs and non-state-run power plants in Ghana stands at 1925 MW, compared to 2456 MW of installed capacity at the state-backed primary electricity generation utility Volta River Authority (VRA). In total, there are nine IPPs providing electricity, including the 400-MW Bui Dam, seven thermal plants with installed capacity of 1505 MW, and the 20-MW solar plant completed by BXC Ghana, a subsidiary of China-based industrial conglomerate Beijing Fuxing Xiao-Cheng Electronic. The interest in IPPs is likely to continue into 2018 and beyond as additional projects come on-line and policies encourage the engagement of private energy players.

According to a 2016 World Bank report, there are 126 IPPs present in 18 countries in sub-Saharan Africa, providing more than 13% of total installed generation capacity. Ghana has the fourth-highest capacity generated by IPPs and ranks third in terms of investment, after South Africa, Kenya and Nigeria, with both metrics growing

PoliticsRe: Well Done, Yemi Osinbajo by PetroDolla2020: 7:56pm On Jun 13, 2022
Kwame Nkrumah was a great leader. I wished he had stayed longer to transform the Ghanaian society and done all the big things he had wanted to do. Unfortunately, he didn't respond well to criticisms and opposition.

I'm not sure Dr. Busia bears any blame for what happened to Nkrumah. The military was inspired by the CIA to remove Nkrumah.
candidtalk:
No be fight bro. What's your understanding of events then?
PoliticsRe: Well Done, Yemi Osinbajo by PetroDolla2020: 4:58pm On Jun 13, 2022
And where did you get this laughable idea from? We’re you part of the scheme of things? I want to know because it it easy to sit in one corner and weave audacious conspiracy theories based on hearsay.

candidtalk:
He was actively in bed with a USA , back then, threatened by Nkrumah's pan African message and Osagyefo's dedication to seeing Africans unite to forge a development template suited to us rather than the parasitic one the West always wanted to maintain with Africa.

The American President Nixon even began facetiously appealing to Busia to embrace the past policies of Busia after they had all thoroughly tried to discredit the Great pan Africanist.

Africa's leadership history is a litany of myopia, lust for power and betrayal that has cost the continent plenty.

PoliticsRe: Well Done, Yemi Osinbajo by PetroDolla2020: 4:36pm On Jun 13, 2022
How did Busia betray Nkrumah?

candidtalk:
How many men do you see celebrated as heroes worldwide for backstabbing and betrayal? Especially those who have tried to feather their own nest at the expense of others who gave them life and air to breathe?

Educate yourself brother. Blaise Campaore betrayed his brother and long term friend , just like Osinbajo, because of lust for power he was never best placed to utilise well. I.e Thomas Sankara. One of the greatest hero out of Africa.

No one won and the biggest losers were Sankara, who paid with his life, and the people of Burkina Faso left to rue what could have been their reality.

What Osinbajo attempted is no different in the existential struggle to liberate Nigeria from those who think our country, and our lives, belong to them to do as they please with.

Note that Blaise Campaore is regarded a cad till today same as Busia will probably be eternally reviled in Ghana for betraying Kwame Nkrumah.
