Well, Jesus Christ didn't promise that we will never come to harm - instead He promised us suffering and tribulations suggesting we may even be treated as He was. So, if you chose to instead believe you cannot come to any harm, then note how very much different it is from what Jesus Christ Himself prepared us for.

Did God or even Jesus Christ indicate that our reasoning is to be trusted? I mean in Jeremiah 17 vs 5, God Himself declared cursed any man who puts his trust in flesh and blood and goes as far as to make flesh and blood his strength...

You are flesh and blood meaning you cannot be trusted .I.e. even your reasoning is not to be trusted by you.

What kind of a good god watches children get raped, killed, trafficked, kidnapped and abused but does nothing? You people claim your god is everywhere and watches everyone, if that is true, then this your god has watched every rape, murder, kidnap and abuse carried out against children. We're blaming Buhari for not being able to fish out bandits and terrorists, even though we have people who claim to have access to them, but when it comes to your god, you people make excuses. No good father will watch his child get killed and then accept the forgiveness of the person that killed his child, and still reward his child's killer for asking for forgiveness. Funny enough, if that child that was killed didn't repent before dying, that child will still end up in hell. Religion is illogical and barbaric.
