Politics › Re: If El Rufai Was A Christian by Phame: 7:29am On Mar 18, 2016 |
Nasman: Am a Muslim, Fulani by tribe and am from Kaduna. What Elrufai's government is trying to do here, is a welcome development. Religion has eaten up into the fabric of our society. I don't why Christians in Kaduna which a represent a very small minority will oppose this bill that had already been passed in Kaduna state of Assembly. If u think Kaduna government will bow to wailing from a small minority, then u are either dreaming or delusional. The Bill has the support of majority people in Kaduna, and in democracy, majority always have the voice and upper hand, period I really care about the opinion of the minority. The problem with their reaction is, it's always guided by falsehood, misconceptions, hate, baseless and shallow teachings they get from their leaders. So they did with the issue of sharia ; something that was not to affect them , but their reaction is out of hate for anything islamic. Those that have not spent one minute in Kaduna before would sit in the comfort of their room down south and write all rubbish like d op did. we have hundreds of Islamic scholars arrested by serving Muslim governors in kaduna in the past all in the name of regulating religious activities and preaching, but no pastor has ever been arrested in that order - we don't hear these people complain when it's so. You have churches blocking roads on Sundays, but mosques are stopped from doing that after the Shiite crisis , no Muslim complained, and I wonder why the op and his cronnies don't accuse do rufai of being bias for allowing churches to block roads , but does not allow mosques to do same.Religion is indeed our problem. |

Politics › Re: Alex Badeh's Shocking Full Bail Conditions Revealed by Phame: 4:11pm On Mar 17, 2016 |
payges: A Federal High Court in Abuja has granted Nigeria’s former Chief of Defence Staff, Alex Badeh, a N2 billion bail. Mr. Badeh is facing corruption charges, accused of receiving N3.9 billion as part of $2.1 billion arms money allegedly diverted by former National Security Adviser, Sambo Dasuki. He denies the allegation.
However, the full details of his Bail Conditions have just been revealed to selected members of the Press, and the conditions are, at best, incredulous. Here is a concise list of his full bail conditions, including those currently known to the general public, and some added conditions that were revealed by trusted channels. Bail is set at N2 billion Mr. Badeh must present two Abuja-based sureties with N1 billion each, in addition to surrendering his international passport. Both Sureties must have flat stomachs, if their stomachs are large and round, it would be indicative of corruption and they would also be arrested His bail must be paid in N50 notes and the total sum must be delivered to the court in nothing more than 2 Bullion vans. All his houses will be under lock and key during the course of his trial It is believed that Alex Badeh is yet to accept the bail conditions, as his lawyers are fighting tooth and nail to get some of them reversed. More on this in subsequent bulletins |

ionsman: This mushroom judge is wasting his time. If my memory serves me right,I think there was also a similar court injunction preceding the 2015 general elections but that didn't stop soldiers from being deployed because there was public outcry due to insecurity.
The security situation in Rivers state is volatile. So, I don't think this can stand else it will be a field day for cultists, thugs and militants. I trust buhari, he doesn't take security issue with levity. We might have soldiers at polling booth, but on the streets. I don't think the high the jurisdiction to entertain this case. |

360frolic: Denmark has been crowned the world’s happiest nation while Burundi is the least happy' according to UN's World Happiness Report 2016 Nigeria ranks 103 position and the US came in at 13.The list ranks 157 countries by happiness levels using factors such as per capita gross domestic product (GDP) and healthy years of life expectancy. It also rates "having someone to count on in times of trouble" and freedom from corruption in government and business. The top 10
Denmark Switzerland Iceland Norway Finland Canada Netherlands New Zealand Australia Sweden
The bottom 10
Madagascar Tanzania Liberia Guinea Rwanda Benin Afghanistan Togo Syria Burundi
http://www.newshelm.com/2016/03/nigeria-is-103-on-uns-worlds-happiest.html
cc lalasticlala no people, no nation can be happy as Nigeria or Nigerians- this trait was handed to us by God. You can call it 'divine favor'. If you haven't experienced what Nigeria and Nigerians experience on a daily basis without loosing their 'sense of happiness' , and you think you are happier than us(with gdp and per capita income etc), then you have deceived yourself. E.g there was a suicide attack in borno yesterday, and i'm sure people within that area of bomblast have dusted themselves and moved on like nothing happened- life goes on. Imagine if such happens in the US or one of the top 10 countries on the happiness index; they will be sad and grief till eternity. Infact, Dasuki case alone is enough to make citizen of those seemingly happy countries develop HBP and we are here making jokes out of it. Our kind of happiness is second to none. |
