heatflux: . LOGIC is about to get extinct here (300 posts from heaven). My 137th post since 2013 just my point. It should be time of registration with some posts and not number of posts. |

DrOkoroafor: Yeah. Like seriously, the minute I saw that rule, I just got tired of the contest. So after all the campaigns, I've been automatically disqualified to vote for the contestant I endorsed?
Smh. I am a very busy man. I registered on Nairaland last year, but I hardly post due to my busy schedules. I work in a Hospital for Pete's sake! What do you people want me to do? Ignore a patient and come to Nairaland to post numerous comments until I'm qualified to vote in a pageant? That's ridiculous!
I can only throw in some little comments when I am online, and when I have time, I try to support MissGdope. But the organizers, Dygeasy and co have disqualified me for no just reason. No problem. It's all good.
I just hope the qualified ones vote MissGdope. She's the right head for the crown. Vote her!
May the best girl win!! you can imagine. I hope Seun and the organizers look into this. |

Jacksparr0w1207: 40? Like seriously? No way!
Maybe 150 or 200
Atleast those who think they can bring out their inactive 'pseudo' accounts have been dealt great blow
No room for multiple voting
Nice one organisers that rule cannot address the issue unless if it's made flexible. |

- Votes from accounts created before the 1st of April 2015 and with less than 300 posts as at 1st of April would also be counted as invalid. With all due respect, this rule negates all code of practice if put on the "weighing balance' of logic. My reasons are: 1. If it's not part of the rules to have more than 300 votes to participate in this contest as a contestant, I don't think it conforms with logic to ask the voters to have 300 posts to their name before they can vote. 2. The moment you register on this effigy of a forum, you automatically adopt the name "nairalander" irrespective of the number of posts you have , and you stand to enjoy all benefit and protection enjoyed by every member(both old and new ). 3. If a nairalander can post , place advert , increase the traffic of this forum irrespective of his or her number of posts, and can only do this mostly as a registered member, then , I see no reason why he or she should be denied an opportunity of voting simply because he or she hasn't posted up to 300 times on the forum. suggestion1. Number of posts required to vote should not be a criterion or pre-requisite , rather , time of registration. 2. If possible, and if the rule must stand(I.e if you guys insist) , I think it should be slashed to 40-50 as against the extant 300 posts ceiling set. 3. It's not every nairalander that post regularly. We have people who are as old as Seun on nairaland but still have less than 20 posts. Should they be denied a right , despite their loyalty to this great forum , just because they have a few posts? It shouldn't be so. Seun , I know you are altruistic towards the members of this forum, I hope you exhibit that trait as regards the points raised here. |

Lordxeer: Here in NewYork, and perhaps the state, opinion polls doesn't seemed to favour him. Discussed with so many people and they don't seemed to share most of his plight, many see him as a man without guts but just exploiting the fear of american citizen vis-à-vis his islam speech and anti-african crusade amongst others. On the wilder perspective, a point to note is that haven made a land mark in electing a black man to rule the most powerful nation in the world, they are also very keen to break yet another jinx by seeing though a lady (Hilary Clinton) becoming the first female elected president in the history of united state of america. However, another odd that seemed to be working against the democrats is the usual trend of transition between the two biggest political parties in america (GOP and the democrats). Many highly plasce republican see Trump as a sabotage to there party, warning that they don't only stand the chance of loosing the presidential seat but also losing majority seat in the parliament. Are the Americans hell-bent on electing a female president at the expense of the GOP odd? We don't know, Will the democrat reclaim the american presidential seat back to back? We never know. But only time will tell. #true |

Jonathan was not the kind of person that would have someone killed. He wasn’t that kind of leader.” yeah, I believe this. I'm not fan of hero, but I believe he doesn't kill. |

He said he’s convinced that the letter went from the central bank to Obasanjo, and I had 24 hours to find who leaked the letter or sack somebody; the director who prepared the letter or my secretary and if I did not sack them, that was proof that I leaked the letter and therefore, I should resign.
“I said to him that I’m surprised that I’m being asked to resign for raising an alarm over missing funds and the minister in charge of the portfolio is not being asked to resign. From then I knew I had signed my equivalent for death warrant. But I said I was not resigning. He got very angry and said whether you like it or not, you’re going to leave that office, I cannot continue to work with you, either you or I will leave government." hero don vex. I never thought he could say such. #chamelion |
Politics › Re: Amaechi Leaked Obasanjo's Letter To Jonathan - Sanusi by Phame: 8:01pm On May 04, 2016 |
Sanusi said that in 2012 and 2013, government revenue collapsed by $10 billion, without a collapse in oil prices or production capacity, adding that the CBN found a $49 billion revenue gap.
Sanusi said he then wrote Jonathan, saying:
“If this continues, we are going to have a big problem if the price of oil came down. We can’t protect interest rates, we can’t protect exchange rates, we can’t protect reserves. We may have to tighten money to prevent inflation, there will be unemployment, government will suffer – all of the things we are seeing today.”
Sanusi further stated that Jonathan did not do anything until Obasanjo's letter went public. he says
“This was in August 2013, the president received the letter and did nothing. A few weeks after that, the finance minister called to say, governor, can we do some reconciliation on oil revenue numbers? I said minister, I report to the president. jonathan was a mistake that was aptly corrected. |
