My grouse with Arase is that he did not present competent and official findings from investigations hence d security reports u referred to earlier so how does he get off rubbishing reports of Nigerian citizens affected just because he didn't see an equivalent number of graves. Does that make sense to u? Yet u were all over that tread asking for graves!

If you read my post which you have held unto, I was talking generally about the problem we are faced with; I was talking about those who want to cause tension and anxiety using death of people. That post did not in anyway deny the agatu massacre, but further highlighting the societal problem we have with giving actual figure (check the reference I made to death toll figure in kano earlier in my post).
Ofcourse, I was calling on them to make the picture of grave available cos they were already making it seem arase saying he did not see grave has rubbished the report and made him the biggest sinner.

This was an interview where the Minister was specifically asked about the exchange rate situation. He tried to explain the factors that influence the rate making reference to oil price. He simply said the SITUATION (exchange rate) was beyond the president since he does not control oil price. He never said the ECONOMY was beyond the President’s control as misrepresented by the media.

How the media gets away with such mischief is beyond me. Worse still is the fact that 80% of readers do not even notice this distortion of facts. These are people that will later assume leadership positions. With such shallowness among citizens, the future is even more uncertain.

Correction...u may choose to quibble over the actual number of people killed buy u should note that the IG with his security reports could not given an official figure so where is d discrepancy? You only have a discrepancy when conflicting figures are placed side by side.
In situations such as was d case in Agatu, do u actually expect all d bodies to be in graves? It takes an organised and peaceful society to bury their dead but where affected members of communities have fled for dear life how do the bury their dead and present 300 graves to convince d IG?

How can one in his position cast doubt over d number of persons reported dead only on the strength of the number of graves he saw when he has not even launched an investigation into the matter to actually ascertain the number of persons dead, missing or unaccounted for? Has he scoured d crime scene and determined that there are no corpses rotting away in bushes, rivers, surrounding areas or even shallow graves? Probably some running while injured and dropped dead in the process? Is information to this effect within d public domain or even ur possession to enable u begin to play number games?

Is it also the norm, as postulated by the IG that persons should not just bury their dead but present d corpses first to the police stations? Is that proper practice? Are the grieving members of the public now supposed to present evidence of death via corpses before they can be taken seriously? Is it not the duty of the police to carry out investigation and ascertain the correct position and then take appropriate action to forestall future occurrence?

You didn't think of all these and u just started calling them enemies of the state that even when no one is killed they will say hundreds were. Does this look like a balanced view?

Finally u should have taken time to understand d first paragraph of my post. I referred to criminal vagabonds that equate the lives of cattle to that of humans and not u but if the shoe fits who am I?

this is offensive! In one fold, you excluded me and just before the last line, you technically added me to them. I did not in anyway say in my post that you referred to me as a 'criminal vagabond', you said I was being insensitive with my post on that thread, and that was the point I tried to adress in my post.

I was also asking to be shown the grave, and I don't know how that amount to equating human life to that of cows. You all shouted us down here when we said over 2000 people died in the single deadliest attack carried out by boko haram in kano and told us how the figure being brandied at that time was to rubbish gej gov't . Did we say u are being insensitive? When gej said he did not believe over 200 girls were actually kidnapped and transported at the same time because of that number, did u call him insensitive? What's wrong in questioning number given as death toll when we have differing figure?
