'Are,nt there any good lawyers out there , ,, who would take Obama,Sarcozy, and Cameron to court , for taking part in Illegaly suppling arms to armed rebels planning to murder and overthrow a government.' So in my humble opinion It's perfectly fine for Iran to give arms to Hezbollah and Taliban. 'so the next step for the coalition army is to destroy Al-Qaeda in Libya, That means the coalition army are justified to kill anyone and everyone in Libya coz the target is either Pro-Gaddafi army or Al-Qaeda militants with the rebels, WOW, Clever Move UN !!!!!!!' A single man is holding the whole world to ransom. Causing world leaders to stumble and fall out of favour with their own people. in my opinion again , that man must be a HERO. well clearly they are making Ghaddafi a hero (even offered him assylum in UK) Ok the coalition army wants to supply sophisticated weapons to the rebels. These men are untrained. Question is who trains them? Another extension of UN resolution to allow ground troops in Libya. These guys are so dumb that they cant see that alot of opportunist (extremist) are not only watching but also involved in this. Head or Tail, the end would not be nice. If Cameron, Sarkozy and O-bom-ba had said their mission was to kill Ghaddafi, At least they would get some unwavering support come what may, but now You plan to arm rebels (civilians), provide them with air cover, train them as well, in order to kill Ghaddafi including all his supporters (military and civilian), while the UN resolution was to protect civilians. It doesn't make sense. this is clearly beyond defending Libyans from 'a man who wants to kill his own people' I am loving this Sounds Like the movie WWIII trailer. [Joke of the day from sky news online] 'Before Obama starts sorting out other peoples messes he wants to start sorting out his own. Like where his birth certificate is' |
@okooyinbo My Point exactly. Why did AU vote? Since they don't have a say in Arab world, neither are they going to gain a penny from all of these. I watched David cameron look to the cameras and say this is for the interest of the civilians in Libyan and 'for the interest of the UK'. How then my brother/sister is this in our interest? Well, there's an uprising in SYria as well, and another 'madman' has opened fire on protesters, Can someone beg Cameron and Sarkozy to send the jets there too. (there's nothing of interest there by the way) so lets watch how the masters compare operation 'wipe out ghaddafi the madman to the unfortunate 'incidents in syria, bahrain etc, The world is watching. |
@Babalawo, the fact that you practice babalawo doesn't mean you can't use common sense. please do not allow us make a no fly zone resolution over your trade, |
It would have made more sense if the west had not taken the center stage. Why didn't they allow AU and Arab league to judge and oversee this matter, and if need be, use the help of the western powers' at least with harriers, c70, X5, End of discussions, typhoons and all their weapon of mass destruction? The position right now is, if Ghaddafi is out, even Arab league and AU have no say in that country as much as the west do. That is what the Libyans have failed to see. They will come to a point, someday, like you and I, Nigerians, and realize it was their greatest waterloo allowing the west to plunder them. It would be too late. They serve them their own food on wooden plates, while they eat the best of the land. Their Military is completely disabled, so even the new government will have to suck up to them. You know the rest of the story. We will give you our (old) rockets and planes, you give us your oil. An offer any sensible govt cannot refuse. Slavery! |
Thanks Aguiyi, Koastar, all you need is sniff around. If you have been to Libya and other EU countries, you would notice the difference. it's not about the greatness or international recognition of the country. It's about the quality of life of the people inside it. Libyans are better off with Ghaddafi, than whatever western influence democracy they may ever get. Just take Naija as an example. All the maths add up quickly. |
"Only the brightest and best should come to the UK". Brain drain. When is Nigeria going to wake up? Do i not sense that our liberation can only come through a revolution? An arab style protest, (with guns and rockets), with the full support of the 'Coha-bitation' forces plus Nato and UN resolutions in order? whoops!!! The law isn't good enough. It should be brought down to 0%. Let's see who loses. Meanwhile as Naijan would say, one door closes, another open. Our young brains would divert to another country. Mid east or asia. Shame God save Nigeria!!! |
@ koastar. What is your point exactly? Cos I know for fact that the quality of life in Libya is a lot better than France, uk etc |
Simply put, they don't want to kill Ghaddafi? But they are empowering 'civilians turned rebels' to kill him with their own hands? Ghaddafi has supporters too. I see a civil war in the horizon. The motive behind this? So the west can have their way. @Backstage, take it or leave it. The truth takes only a little while to come out. When it does, there will be consequences. The attacks on the US, UK and france by extremist, do we condemn them? Yes, we all do? But don't you also think it is a way of paying back? There are several countries like protugal, spain, germany etc who dpn't even have sophisticated defence systems but how many attacks have you heard of there? By the way, what right have they got to invade a country that is 10 times better than theirs economically ![]() |
@ Bastage: It's either you have been brainwashed by Sky news and BBC or you are completely biased. No offence! Where is the real propaganda coming from? Now the rebels are gaining ground, are they not going to fight their way back to tripoli too? Do you not think there would be killing of civilians in that? However you see this, the UN ,Cameron, Sarkozy are taking the shoe off one foot and putting it on the other. Ghaddafi is the target here. Oil is the reason. Personal revenge on Lockerbie bombings etc. If Ghaddafi is a mad man, why did they enter into any deals with him? Bear in mind this just happened a matter of months ago? You need to get your facts right. Even people in the UK think it is wrong! |
@ omo fat, I was not there when the resolution was passed but i know that countries that do not suck up to the western powers did not vote (China, Russia, Brazil, Germany (An European nation too) plus INDIA). Why didn't they vote And since you seem to know too much, why not tell NLs why Nigeria voted.@Koastar, sometimes i think Nigeria should split too and I am a Nigerian, and I know of millions of other Nigerians who think in the same direction. Does that make me us mad men like Ghaddafi? That was his opinion about Nigeria and if you ask me, anyone can say anything on any given day. Can you tell me how OBJ's act at ODI is different from Ghaddafi against rebels? Did you say he opened fire on harmless civilians? He declared war against rebels. When Rebels hide under civilian homes, you have casualties. Take the killing of one of our former head of states who travelled to Ibadan for example, he was arrested there. Did they not kill his host too ![]() I repeat that I do not support terrorism. I do not support Autocracy. I see common sense and i support fairness. this war against Libya is for OIL. This war is against Africa's voice of reasoning. This war is against one of the few men in the world who the west fear. This man happens to be our brother. We have shamelessly sold him out. Goodbye Ghaddafi, welcome modern day slavery in AFRICA. And yes, isnt it for our own good? at least for the civilian's good? and are we not all civilians in Africa? compared to the military power of the west! Shame! |
The only african voice who dared to stand up against the west is under 'western' military siege and all we can do is talk him down, thereby giving outsiders the upper hand over Africa. Ghaddafi could have taken over Benghazi a long time ago if he wanted to unleash terror. but he showed restrain. Ask you guys a question, You are president, and rebels are threathening your country, what would you do? sit at home eating KFC. NO? even in UK, the British forces still fight the IRA (of ireland). and you say Ghaddafi is wrong for defending his country against terrorism? Ghaddafi hasnt done wrong by sending his military to disarm rebels and gangs! Fullstop. What about Bahrain? Didnt they open fire on protesters Why is no one talking? Africans, our freedom lies in our hands. But we are selling it out daily. Be wise. 'They deceived us with christianity, and then imposed their governemtn on us, and till date Nigeria is worse off than they met us.' Things Fall apart!!! Chunua Achebe |
I can't believe Nigeria took a part in voting for a no- fly zone imposed on Libya. It is ridiculous!!! The international communities especially the west see us as daft and very gullible. Yet again, we have proved that point. Did the Nigeria government answer the questions put forward by countries like China, Russia, Germany, Brazil and India regarding the issue? Why was this No -Fly zone issue championed by David Cameron (UK) and french's Nicola Sarkozy. Do the Nigeria govt have informed details about everything going on? Bear in mind that the UK gets about 70% of its oil from Libya. Can Nigeria explain the reason behing the release of the Lockerbie bomber to Ghaddafi last year , and just few months later, the british govt entered into oil deals with Libya? Do the Nigeria Govt understand the implication of a No fly Zone at all? Are the west out to really save the Libyan people or they are protecting their own national interest.( Bear in mind that since this uprising began, the cost of fuel has been on a steady increase in the uk). I do not know too much about Libya but i know too well that the people live in prosperity. Yes it is more of an autocratic regime and you expect that some people would not like it, but on the average the people of libya are better off with Ghaddafi than having a 'western influenced democracy' Nigerian Leaders, shame on you again. For not seeing beyond your nose. The international community sees all these and continue to believe we are black and daft. I must state here that I am neither in support of terrorism nor autocracy and I do not really care about Ghaddafi, but when we make decisions, let us be clear and sure of what we are doing. If it is really for the Libyan people, then so be it. but if questions remain unanswered, and it appears that there are political undertones in the resolution, then I strongly believe Nigeria should not have voted. At the end of the day, the west have used us to champion their course in Libya again. Maybe our leaders need to read 'Things fall apart' again Qudos to countries who abstained from this vote! They have earned my respect. Even India!!! Shame on our leaders |
Can NL stop messing about with irrelevant news about celebrities and stupid idiots and concentrate more on what is going on around the world. NLders, Fighting and arguing over issues like this is just like running in a special olympics. Even if you win you are still retarded. say no more! |
Ribadu worked for the PDP, so did Audu Ogbeh. These idiots are just bunch of criminals branding other criminals criminal because they have changed from a political party to another. Nigerians are wiser than all that now. We are aiming for a revolution in Nigeria soon, FINGERS CROSSED. |
Before you start running your mouth like tap, why not try go to kano (especially if you are from the south), set up your business and then try to become the governor of kano state. I'm not tribalistic or racist, if he wants to govern let him do so in his geo political zone, magana yakare you know what, this is not worth my time sef, i'm out |

That is what I call unity. And the only place you can have such are civilized areas like the West , South, etc Do we have that in the north? No sir. Let's stop fooling around. Niaja is better off going seperate ways. |
LWKMDFH, LOL |
"When Saturday Sun visited the bank yesterday, two Armoured Personnel Carriers (APCs) were stationed at the bank. Also, there were police vans in the bank premises. " When the robbers visited the bank, where were the Police officers stationed? |
It's good to speak great grammar but when you are completely uttering rubbish and non dictionary vocabulary, I begin to worry how that man got to reprersent his people, He is insane as far as i am concerned. Good riddance . |
I know this is offline but for a politician to actually say 'I don't need your votes to win the election, I need Kano's votes alone to see my through', That is just soooo gay, It shows me the type of person he is, If you know what i mean. I'm sure if he had been voted, he would have made the people of that region suffer if he became president. Atiku waterloo |
Lakode, I'm sorry but you are suffering from shortsightedness. Why can't my son wake up one day and dream of becoming a president? Why can't another child in the north wake up and say I dream of becoming the President, and another from south, east, or west, or however you zone it. That is true democracy. Zoning is crap. It's just a truce reached by this same PDP to keep power circulated among the high and lofty politicians in the country. As far as I'm concerned, He who has the right credentials should get there. North, south, east or west.!!!! |
For as long as there is a divide between the North and the South , Christian and Muslim, Zoning, etc, then there is a problem with Nigeria. This is the root cause of every other problem in Nigeria. A day would come, when a little boy from the anywhere in the country, whether south, north, east or west, can proudly say i'm aiming to become the president of Nigeria without any uprising form other political or geopolitical zones, and would get there. that day is when we have a sincere and ONE NIgeria. Aside that, sorry, Nigeria is just a F**king joke!!! |
Wonders shall never end. Shows the sorry state of things in my country!!! it's just a matter of time! I shall return to take power and things will return back to normal. |
" As a result, we have directed that all schools within the country, both private and public, remain closed. Resumption date will now be in February 2011,” he said." What is good for the goose is good for the gander. They should be prosecuted. |
Buhari just met his waterloo. Does he think Nigeria is an Islamic nation? What are these dudes thinking with their brain damaged heads ? |
Interesting!!!!!!!! |
OMG, I love Nigeria!!! Elephants do fly in Nigeria, I believe. Watch out for Season 5>>>>> |
"The suit is premature"? Does it mean that if Jonathan wins the primaries then the suit could be valid ? What's so special about this zoning system, Someone please tell me. |
It's just like a Chess game, rather draft!!! See strategic replacements, 2011 Elections, Fingers crossed |
