Making a video to disgrace his wife, but ends up proving that he doesn't have sense. She is your wife. You don't make a video to disgrace her. Solve your issues without a camera.

All he just did is give strangers the license to insult his wife, the mother of his kids, and a woman he has sworn to be one with.

I disagree with you
Had it been they are in Nigeria I may agree but in Europe who will ever talk to them that they will hear!
They become lords unto themselves especially like this one the man married that brings nothing to the table thinking it is her private part that is most important to a man.

This video could be the saving grace that will recalibrate her brain and her attitude in her marriage.

Politics / Re: Chinua Achebe VS Wole Soyinka by pharmagba: 12:56am On Jun 10
Beebling:
Wole Soyinka Betray Other Africans Just To Get The Nobel Price.

In 1986, when African writers decided to boycott the Nobel Prize for the apparent discrimination from the Royal Academy (up until then, no African was considered good enough for the prize), Soyinka showed up as a betrayer of the African collective cause and got the award

.....Soyinka might have a Nobel Prize, but that is not surely a comment on his social value as a writer. Even Abdulrazak Gurnah who was awarded the prize in 2021 said he thought it was a joke. Nobody knew him and he knew he did not deserve it.

In contrast, Ngugi wa Thiong'O has consistently been ignored by the Royal Academy, even though everyone in the literary field knows he is supposed to have long won it on merit. To put things in perspective, he taught Gurnah way back, and has taught many other greats

Ngugi's sin is that he would never bend to the Western ideologies, and he has canvassed on different occasions for African writers and indeed, writers from the Orient, to develop literature in their languages, instead of enriching metropolitan languages.

The West hates people like Ngugi, and can never reward them with their treasured literary prizes like the Nobel. To be an African writer deserving of the award, you have to have no hurtful opinion about the West. It is basically politics by the institutions of World Lit.
Achebe cut the perfect figure for the prize, and it was not surprising that he got it in 1986. Canonised writers like Achebe who took on Greene and Conrad could not have been rewarded for questioning the jaundiced representation of Africans in Western literature
Stop this childish nonsense
The West hates this, the west hates that
Yet they gave Nelson Mandela

Those ones are useless Nobel prize just like the Noble peace prize.

Like Sheldon cooper in Big Bang theory will say "Real Nobel prize are those in physics and sciences"

Soyinka was gifted a noble prize because of memoirs from prison, I also respect him sha for bringing glory to Nigeria and black people in general
Don't glory in error
It was "Ake" that won him the Nobel laureate

Bro it a failure. Stop to dey cap nonsense. We no one talk no means say we don't know what's up. Tell me which of his policies will take you out of the mess we found ourselves. Just give me one and we will all agree he isn't a failure.

What most of you don't know supporting such a leaders who ought to make things better but making excuses for them, make them more horrible than they are. You ask for the job, fix the God dam problem and stop making excuses.

If you are an employer if one of your employees keep making excuses or performs badly, will you keep making excuses for him?. Most of you won't take what is happening to Nigeria, if it were your personal business.

Others are making giant strides in their country not because they have two heads but because they understood the problem and have them fix. If he continues like this Nigeria a docile country might end up being a country where me and you want be able to live in.
First i support all his policies there are necessary step to build the future. It is biting hard but they are necessary. He never made excuses. If it were my personal business I will take such measures

Now if I may engage your critical thinking tell me one policy that is not good put in context long term and sustainable growth of Nigeria. Let's discuss economics
Politics / Re: Obasanjo Grew The Economy In 1 Year, Tinubu Should Do Same- Rufai Oseni by pharmagba: 12:57am On May 31
In recent times Rufai Oseni have been reckless, partisan, unprofessional and brazenly confrontational both to his guest on Arise TV whenever he perceives a supporter of the Tinubu administration and to Tinubu administration
Recent cases abound, all you have to do is to see him on Arise TV. He even concluded the administration is a failure less than 1 year of which it still has remaining 3years!
He propagate his personal narratives , enforce his partisan opinion and ever ready to amplify what divides us as a nation to the detriment of the Nigerian nationhood.
His utterances and post, I beg to submit are against the basic tenants of journalism.
Could it be because of his love for Obi or dislike for Tinubu? Only him could answer!

Thank you for the education. After reading your explanation, we are saying the same thing. Anyone will enter the train, after collecting the details from them and stamping the ticket free. It is open to abuse when it is free. It is also taxpayers money funding the 'free' rides so how do we maintain it By the time government wants to put fees on it, people are used to freebies they don't want to pay again. If it was a form of subsidy to certain people, that will even make more sense but free, who no like free thing?

Politics / Re: President Tinubu Approves Free Ride On Abuja Metro Rail Till December 31 by pharmagba: 5:02pm On May 29
papyjaypaul:
Speedy ride to spoil the project. If even it is a token, let them pay. When they pay one small amount, the government can now then use it for the people when they start paying. It is dangerous to start something you cannot end, Nigerians like freebies and they don't appreciate something unless they pay for it. Put a barrier to entry so it will not be a free for all that will damage the public transport by September.

Let me educate you
Being free does not mean anyone will just enter the train. No
You go through the process, your name, phone number security checks etc. You are even issued a ticket and seat number but the ticket will be stamped free.

Thanks for your concerns.

I'm into agro products supply. And as I said before in my post, I already have numerous orders for goods, but I need working capital to fulfill the orders from my customers. It's to expand my business, as a working capital.

Also, this is a public forum, so when you say I should show verifiable proof, it's not possible to show proof of anything on a public forum. It's not possible for me to begin to give details about my business on a public forum just because I'm looking for a collateral. If you were the one I'm sure you won't do such by exposing your business details on a faceless forum. Nobody will do such.

Any genuine person who wants to help, I've already given my contact number. When we connect, we can discuss, that's how it's done. And it's also not possible to prove I can pay back the loan here on a public forum. The basic and preliminary information needed I have already written everything in my post. Any kind hearted Nigerian who wants to support my business, we can discuss the modalities one-on-one.

And talking about having a stake in my business and sharing part of the profit, well I didn't ask for a business partner, what I requested for was for a loan facilitator who will provide me with collateral or guarantor, or both. I'm not interested in partnership with anyone, so if this is not ok for anyone, no problem, the person is free to read and pass by without contacting me, the people who are willing to support my business by providing me with what I want will definitely contact me at the right time.

Thanks for your concerns sir and God bless.

My Guy,
Although you do sound convincing you also strike me as a greedy and self centred fellow.
1- You don't want to open up on your business in public yet you went to public to ask for loan?

2- You don't want a partner yet you cannot stand on your own

No wonder those guys above a laughing uncontrollably. It's either you are stupid or purely criminal

Politics / Re: Alhaji Dantata's Visit: Reno Hails The SW Culture Of Respect by pharmagba: 4:28pm On May 22
It's aways a thing of pride to see elders being accorded respect.
It is much more good to see when those in position do this to our elders.
I remember as a little boy seeing my dad prostrate to his mum and I joyfully join him.

This tradition of the Omoluabi should be emulated, its not that we cannot disagree with our elders but we do so whilst still according them that respect. It is not difficult to achieve when one considers that we disagree with our bosses at work yet we don't insult them but respectfully express our dissent.
Money shouldn't be the criteria showing respect to the elders.

The United Kingdom Civil Aviation Authority has written Nigeria’s Civil Aviation Authority stating Air Peace has reportedly violated some aviation safety regulations

The development came barely three months after the Nigerian carrier commenced the Lagos-London route.

Two mandatory occurrence reports on Air Peace had been reportedly sent to the United Kingdom Civil Aviation Authority.

The UK CAA, in turn, forwarded the complaints to the NCAA.

The CAA’s letter of complaint forwarded to NCAA was entitled; ‘United Kingdom SAFA Ramp Inspection Report with reference number: CAA-UK, -2024-0217’ and ‘NATS Management System Safety Report.’

The NCAA has also written to Air Peace to provide clarification on the issues.

The letter, with reference number: NCAA/DOLTS/APL/Vol.11/03624 was titled, “United Kingdom SAFA Ramp Inspection Report.

It was dated May 14, 2024, and signed by the NCAA General Manager of Operations, Capt. O.O. Lawani.

In the letter, the NCAA said the UK CAA had called its attention to the no operational approval of Electronic Flight Bag functions affecting the safe operation of the aircraft, while adding that the captain of the flight admitted that an Electronic Flight Bag was being used for navigational purposes.

NCAA further noted that the CAA stated in its letter that there was “no mounting device for the use of EFB, no charging points or battery for backup.”

Air Peace recently commenced operation to London Gatwick from the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos under the Bilateral Air Services Agreement, which Nigeria has with the UK.

The spokesperson of Air Peace, Stanley Olisa, could not be reached as of press time.

When called, the spokesperson of the airline picked but when this reporter began to enquire about the development, he kept mute until the call ended.

Our correspondent also sent a text message of enquiry to the spokesman but there was no response as of the time of filing this report.

Truth be told
In recent times Nigerian journalists have been reckless, partisan, unprofessional and agent of brazen falsehood.
They have turned "brown envelope journalists"
Recent cases abound, even this editorial is a classic example full of mischief. Imagine a whole national tabloid addressing the president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria as "Tinubu" instead of "President Tinubu"
They propagate false narratives , enforce their partisan opinion and ever ready to amplify what divides us as a nation to the detriment of the Nigerian nationhood.
Their conscience has been slain and they show disdain for truth.
In my few years as an adult I must confess that President Tinubu has been the most tolerant of the media amongst the presidents Nigeria ever had.
He had absorbed the level of insult and falsehood melted on Jonathan and Buhari combined and he had not said a word.
You will agree that those journalist arrested are borne out of petition written to the Nigerian police by individuals and is not the police going to just arrest.
