In this kind of situation you are tempted to sell. But once you do, you come back to buy the same stock at higher price.
Holding is the game changer now. |

FBNH still has some up side. It needs to close the gap between it and UBA/Access. A lot of people seem to be interested in it now. |

rebekah2011: it closed on Friday at N27.2, say Wednesday is the mark down date. The dividend declared will be removed from closing price i.e 27.2 minus 2 = 25.2 . A bonus of 1 for 5 was declared. Let us say an investor owns 1,000 units. Pre Mark down 27.2 × 1000 = 27,200
After Mark down dividend 2 × 1000 = 2000 Bonus = 1/5 × 1000 = 200
Price after Mark down 27.2 -2 =25.2 ×5/6= 21
27.2×1000 = 27200 21×1200 + 2000 =27200 Where did your 6 come from on the Price after Mark Down line? |

RabbiDoracle: There is no second wave. No mind them.
Heat wan kee people for here. They should prepare for powerful hurricanes, typhoons, landslide after this heat.
My fear is the excess liquidity. It is worst than the coronavirus sef. But I will enjoy it (as they bring it in NSE) while it last.
Nkemjika! We are waiting chief. Money has to be made regardless. |

I see two possibilities here. With the opening of most economies, if a second wave of Covid19 happens again, a sharp fall in the market is expected. People will scamper for safety and exit the market in a very aggressive way than they did in the first round.
If there is no second wave or not so significant rise of Covid19, investors and traders are going to start looking for opportunities in the market. This should cause a sharp rise in prices of equities around the globe. Nigeria will receive a reasonable inflow of FPI and there after market will trade sideways. After this phase, any breakout will be individual and dependent on event in the sector or earnings posted by the company. |

meshpips: We seem to forget so quickly.
History repeats itself time and again.
I mentioned to y'all that there is a major error in the method used for computing VWAP and as such, went ahead to correct it and create my own VAP.
@onegentleguy who called me a "demented jackhead" even told me that VWAP cannot be applied outside the confines of intra-day trading and I told him clearly that the same principle can be extended and used for longer periods.
The analysis for GUARANTY was from yearly open, high, low, close and volume values spanning the last nine years if I still remember.
I told the price from which it would bounce aforetime.
None other on this whole thread agreed with me.
E don happen now yet people still dey open their mouth follow me talk anyhow.
It is well o! Bro, if Covid-19 didn't happen, those predictions of yours would never have come to pass. Few weeks ago, you were talking about prices falling further when it was obvious we were in an uptrend. Since then, prices have refused to fall. Can you put a time frame on this your latest prediction of Zenith bank coming to N11.95? Your posturing is making you not learn a thing from the market. I hope you are making money though? |
