Does anybody know what this meeting was about. Or was it the regular AGM?

No leaving anything to chance this 2020.

RabbiDoracle:
Another area I want you to look at is what is called EXPORTING INFLATION.

In this crisis that US faces, they will print and print, other countries will print as well. You will naturally expect their economies to suffer hyperinflation. I have thought about it and it may not. Initially I was of the view that it will. Later I remembered what happened in 2008 till 2014 or so.

Their inflation will be exported. All assets will be bidded higher worldwide. If Fed continues printing more and more, the money will go all around the world eventually. Dollar will weaken severely but EM, FM currencies will appreciate. They will be seen to be supporting their economies to get out of the recession and they will do it well. But the problem is when it is time to call back this cheap money that is all over the world, that is when the main global financial crisis will start.

Any country dependent on the cheap money will be destroyed with stock market crashes. There will be fast liquidation of worldwide assets and severe currency depreciations.

There will be signs of creaks then but the euphoria of the stock market rise will be too much that most will not notice it. grin grin
Good insight chief. I will look up this concept.
I wish our economy and market can reasonably stand on its own, we will be able to absorb most shock waves from around the world. We lean too much towards US and EU.

Even amidst this Covid-19, money seems to be finding its way to NSE. Are these monies that were already in Nigeria? If not, when they start to repatriate monies after reasonable cap. appreciation wahala go dey o.

RabbiDoracle:
wink oya Mark your answer script yourself.
I remember saying earlier, that we may never see the kind of low we saw earlier on. If not for CoronaVirus, all this figures that Meshpips bandied around in the past may never have happened. If not for Covid-19, GTB would not have sold at N16plus, Zenith at N10.70 etc. TA doesn't take into account pandemics and macro-economic situation.

I have also pointed out to him about the air of certainty he parades figures. Haven watched analyst at different levels including international TVs, none of them is ever sure, that's why they use the words like 'may, likely, there is a chance' etc.

In all, all opinions are are welcomed but the way they presented is equally important.

How do you see the Q1 negative growth in the US impacting the market? Germany's economy is also projected to go down by as much as 6%, ditto UK. Spain and Italy may be heading into a recession. All these might end up affecting a significant northward journey we may be expecting on the NSE.

Can we stop engaging Vecovee,pls.

He is an extremist and fanatic. He has been told over and over again to stop posting his religious link and preachings here but he won't listen. He has always found ways to insert the bible quotations into his exchange, in a bid to elicit debate. He is not better than Shekau.

Tomorrow, he will rinse and repeat the same process. Let's pay him no mind when he starts.

He will go out and testify about his exploits on this thread to his followers and religious clan in a bid to harden them some more. If you have been a member of certain religious groups, you will understand who Vecovee is and their MO.

Heavy crossing happening in FBNH at N4.60
InvestmentRe: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by PharmAlfred: 11:35am On Apr 29, 2020
The major obstacle to UBA price moving up well above N6 is Access Bank. Traders and investors will always gauge one stock with another.

It's supposed to be trading above N5. Not a bad move.
Just keep an eye on the larger economy.

Life is funny, there was a time I sought for someone's opinion about a stock here. That person was doing as if his analysis was oxygen to the stock's share price, he never knew that company's result was lying on the table of my next door neighbour..... grin

A great result or dividend does not imply a great share price appreciation.... grin
Most times, insiders are burnt beyond recognition above outsiders.... grin

Why is UBN the class monitor of UBA.
Why is BUA putting Pampers for GTB? grin
Why is Zenith on the mountain of fire to replace FMN?... grin
Words on marble.

Buyers don't want to buy high, sellers don't want to sell low. That's the summary of the market so far.

Volume has been low compared to other days.

@rabbidoracle,

I pointed out to you that BTCUSD would sell off from the 7638 level.

Can you see the formation of a bearish butterfly on the daily time frame?

All truth is parallel.

I nor dey like argue too much again.

Let's see how the next few days will be.
There is something about how you present your point. You usually say things with certainty even when you are using tools and indicators which are lagging. These things can show you direction but doesn't always come out as seen on TA. It would be wise if you can use the words 'may, probably' etc.

TLAX:
At this stage I am watching videos on technical analysis and chart patterns. I am not much of a trader but I think there is a lot of value in understanding how traders think. Lots of free stuff in youtube and there are also many free written material on the web.

Let's see how it goes.
Guys big on TA seems to like to trading more. I also figured one can be a trader and a long/medium termer at the same time. It's about your temperament and taking opportunities thrown by the market. One day I will explain
how trading and investing can go side by side.
Knowing your strategy is important but evolving and fine tuning one's strategy is more important.

Good to know you are taking steps to get better.

I am surprised some are us are shocked by the fight I'm here. You must be really new then. As matter of fact, it has reduced sef. We are growing more matured and psychologically balanced.

The era of throwing stones seems to be behind us now.

We will continue to get better.

Remember the goal is to make more money.

Good TA input from RabidDoracle and Meshpips. Looking at TA, 2 people can be using same chart and seeing 2 or more different things.

Overall, I think market will decide it's direction.
From my end, I see prices have reached a new support level and would range or break out a bit. With the earning season here, I think we should expect some uptrend and consolidation.

Opening up the economy and oil price recovering will help in the short term. If Covid-19 plateaus and decline in most countries, that should bring a new wave of optimism into the market.

Overall, market may not reach new lows going forward.

FBNH will get close to UBA soon. The banks efficiency has improved. It should be close to N6 on the back of it's improved result.
