I really prefer him to khedira and will not be happy if he leaves because of playing time though he still needs some growing up to do in the form of makalele.

usbcable:
sevilla no kuku gbadun dis season.
The way madrid plays means these team will always give us a tougher match than they will do for barca, teams like athletico, valencia and villareal even the smaller ones self.

Madrid dos not have a good marking strategy and ball recovery rate in a team-like effort like barca but there was improvement in the Valencia match and the last match we just played.

I have not seen anywhere else where an intelligent person will not take past performance into account when attempting to predict the future.
You can keep the insults to yourself next time Mr texazzpete . . . and past performance means this will also be a failure in your prediction right?

A good project plan and strategy will this feat pulled off despite all the challenges only if people can keep their head down and think right for a minute.

I am sure if you guys are giving a project like this to execute the next thing you will say is that it can not be pulled off so they can just forget about it.

Think for once that if you were given these project and how you can go about it then you will see the stupidity in doubting the little effort others are trying to make while you sit behind your laptop to condemn it.

I have not seen where citizens of a country are doubting the capability of their government to execute a project like in nigeria. sad
Politics › Re: 2011 Jamb/utme To Be Conducted Online - FG by Pharoh: 4:47am On Dec 15, 2010
This is a very welcome development and i support it in full but just cannot understand all the negativity towards this project?. They did not wake up to decide this project because if you guys have been close to JAMB, you will realize they already had this project in place many years ago.

I believe everything will be sorted out with the deployment of those e-learning centers and the online text will not be so sophisticated like gre or gmat. The only difficult aspect might be those with calculations but the others is just a simple clicking and submitting if answers. After the JAMB exams the e-learning centers will serve other purposes and with more planning time they could be able to optimize the process.

word, I was thinking the same. We should show some love to our Igbo brothers, we will get there someday.
My brother i am really tired of this country, it seems like we are a collection of nations involving ourselves in trade wars and barriers. Whatever is produced in this country should be looked with a nationalistic eye and encouragement or support for further improvement in quality and cost control. I will not be surprised someday if someone comes and says.

1) I will not buy groundnut or kulikuli from northern Nigeria because i do not trust the quality of those almajiris.
2) I will not buy ijebu garri because it is made from the Yoruba speaking parts of nigeria.
3) I will not buy aba made shoe because like they have said above, it is made by igbos.

This country will not move forward if we do not unite and look beyond tribalism, engineers from aba can help northern farmers in processing of their farm produces. A synergy between western transport operators and eastern transport companies can bring about unique changes to to car designs and functionality. No people, field or firm is an island unto itself, Nigerians integrate your people, diverse knowledge and local companies to work together towards industrialization and development.

I tire for una, i am sure some of you will buy the ones made in china then. huh

Kobojunkie:
That is actually a BULL argument they give there, you know? A Sophisticated system is not required in the way you seem to think it does.
I think the main issue was about the database and a unique ID like a social security number, i made the card but could not get hold of it so i cannot view it now to make proper comments. I think their argument was that lets take for example you could present your national ID to the police even if your main physical card was not with you. all they have to do is to access this database and confirm if you are the one right in front of them. There was no database that other agencies could use a unique ID to verify your information like the police or banks. I know if a friend who has four of those ID card by registering in four different capturing center with the same capturing data but different names and date of birth. The system could have been able to detect this obvious backdoor malfunction if all the machines were storing the data into one database.
Politics › Re: Nigerians To Get New Improved Id Cards (what A Huge Logistics Mess) by Pharoh(op): 1:48pm On Dec 06, 2010
^^

The former one was not sophisticated enough hence the need to make a better and comprehensive alternative to replace the former ID cards.

This 2001 technology did not offer a unique identification number or a secure platform to assert one’s identity without a card. SAGEM produced cards, but not an identity system. This database is one of the three components of the emerging national identity management system, the other two being a secure identity document and a system for authenticating and verifying identity,” a source within the commission, who asked not to be named, said.
The people who made the first project should be ashamed of themselves considering the huge money they wasted for this project. sad

ok- so, tell us logically how you will poll these four into one single databases, the database schema, the logic, and the columns that you will have and how they be related.

No english - just simple technical terms.

Lets say the President is reading this and wants you to make it work. Tell us.[/quote]You keep blabbing about this because i guess you have some expert knowledge about databases, the president do not need to know the exact technical details or even simple technical terms. The president only gives instruction what he wants and how he wants it to function, it is left for the experts to implement these ideas and turn it into a working project. Database is not used only by database professionals, statisticians, economic and other development agencies can make use of these data.

I have said it to you before the capture is stored in one database linked to your unique ID, passport or name with all your correct datas and it doesn't mean the other bodies like INEC will not collect information about you. They will just simply use your unique ID, passport number or a printout from the population register to cross check the information you have provided simple instead of them also capturing data. It is the government that is sponsoring these three different data capturing hence the need not to waste resources and cost through the application of appropriate logistics procedures.  This is a project that covers diverse field so stop thinking about only your part which is not more than how to manage the database.
Politics › Re: Lagos Plans To Instigate Nationwide Petrol Shortage by Pharoh: 11:16am On Dec 06, 2010
Kobojunkie:
This is reason why I suspect some of you do not understand the real reason for this move. I believe @oyb addressed this in his post earlier on. It is not about Lagos roads but about the road worthiness of most of these contraption and the high number of accidents recorded, especially on Lagos roads as a result. I am certain you must have heard of the many tanker explosions and the huge loss of life and property that has followed most everyone of those explosions. Well the State feels that many of the contraptions shouldn't have been allowed to plow the roads, let alone haul the sort of goods and weight they do.
The MOT test already covers that i guess? undecided
Politics › Re: Lagos Plans To Instigate Nationwide Petrol Shortage by Pharoh: 11:06am On Dec 06, 2010
If Lagos State feels that for safety reasons, all tanker drivers operating within Lagos State needs to have some form of safety clearance, then they can enforce such. All that means is this, for a while there might be fuel scarcity, but once other marketers realize how much business is in Lagos, they would comply and Lagos roads and inhabitants would be safer for it.
No problem every state of the federation will impose safety clearance on tank drivers operating within their state since you do not realize that some of these same tankers travel out of lagos to other parts of the country.
Politics › Re: Lagos Plans To Instigate Nationwide Petrol Shortage by Pharoh: 11:02am On Dec 06, 2010
Kobojunkie:
You are right on the part in bold, however, this development does not seem to state that is no longer the case. From the @Poster's own post, it seems what is being demanded is that the drivers have extra document to show, along with the valid documents they already have.
I get your point but this is where the problem lies now, we are trying to establish a precedence that will be replicated in other states.

What is so special about lagos roads that tank drivers need extra license to ply in the state and not in other state?

Did those truck just appeared at the border of lagos or don't you think those trucks traveled through other states as well and they will also impose the same license scheme if lagos goes ahead with it.

If it is free no problem but if they start collecting money i am sure every state will implement such schemes as well provided the truck passes through their state.

To me it just seems like someone traveling from nigeria to ghana and the border control in togo says that they need toll fee to maintain their border post and don't you think other countries like ghana and benin will do same thing?

Some things should be left at the national level else driving round the 36 state of the federation will require you to have road safety license for each state and if it is not free then 36 different license fees.
