England should follow the lead of Nordic and Baltic states that takes a league break during the winter and forget all these postponement of matches. It usually happens every year so whats the benefit of having fixtures during this time of the year especially when this winter will be the coldest in recent years.

Mourinho named 2010 Coach of the Year by ‘World Soccer’
'World Soccer' magazine has named Jose Mourinho as the 2010 Coach of the Year ahead of Spanish national team boss Vicente del Bosque and Uruguayan national team boss Oscar Tabarez.

The Whites tallied 22.357 points to lead all group stage teams

Real Madrid currently lead the UEFA Team Coefficients table after earning 16 if 18 possible points the group stage of the Champions League, during which they scored 15 goals and conceded only two.

I am rooting for rangers the boys from the coal city and i believe with the home support they should carry the day.

This is a derby match that goes back to those days and i hope the present players will keep the spirit alive.

There is another tough match this weekend . . . Heartland vs Kano pillars. grin

Kickoff Nigeria is very stupid . . imagine they do not have a special coverage for these two matches or don't they see how Europeans hype their derby matches. angry

Interesting so how did we loose our civilization? was it the slave trade?

When the whites came back to rule Africa, were they more civilized at that time?

I agree arsenal is a tricky fixture and bayern or ac milan because those are the three clubs i believe that can stop barca. I am really looking forward to this match and let the best team progress. Its time to set the records straight with our perennial opponents at this stage. cool

Come out of the closet, you slothful piranha.
Your daft reasoning clearly gives you away as an Arsenal supporter.
Answer my questions and stop avoiding the issues like most Gunner fans do.
Then we can get somewhere.
You talk about a coach who started from scratch. You obviously don't know anything football-related.
Arsene Wenger replaced a side that went unbeaten a whole league season with a set of quadriplegics and you're here typing rubbish.
Go and consult your copy of complete sports for more info before coming to waste your cybercafe time here.
Who built the side that he replaced? is it not the same wenger? i have my internet connection at home so you can pity yourself and your little cafe ranting. Your time will soon finish.

European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Uefa Cl - Last 16 Pairings For D Knockout Stage by Pharoh: 1:04pm On Dec 17, 2010
Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has claimed that it is clear to him who his club will face after the Champions League draw later on Friday.

The Frenchman feels that another clash with Barcelona is inevitable, following the Catalan club knocking the Gunners out at this stage last time round.

After finishing second in the group stage Arsenal face a tricky draw, with Real Madrid, Bayern Munich and Schalke also in the hat.

"I know who we will get," he said to the Guardian. "At this level, you need connections.

"If I say we want Barcelona, you won't believe me. I don't even think about it. I hope we get who I feel we will get."

With the first game ending in a 2-2 draw last season at the Emirates, the Catalans went on to romp home at the Nou Camp, with Messi getting four goals in a 4-1 win.

"It was some of the best football I've ever seen," Wenger said of the performance.

"They played outstandingly well for 90 minutes. What was surprising was that they had no weak moment in that game. Their determination and focus for 90 minutes was spot-on and the quality was unbelievable.

"When you see a performance like that, you are encouraged to get to that level. It is good that teams show you how well you can play football. It was the best performance of the season in European football."

After the draw, Wenger will have to quickly refocus in order to restore Arsenal's Premier League campaign. A loss to Manchester United on Monday denied the club going top of the table and Wenger will be keen to get quickly back on track for the visit of Stoke this weekend.

"We are still in a strong position," Wenger said. "Because we still have to play Chelsea, Man United and Man City at home – Liverpool as well. More than ever, we will still have our say in this league."

Typical Gunner.
How was the scoreline different from the true picture last time around?Tell us,please
Also, how could a coach have gotten his tactics right after being mauled 6-3 on aggregate?
The fact that Barca fans don't gloat/boast senselessly like you people before every game doesn't mean that they aren't confident of winning.
Keep quiet, someone cannot comment on a match without senseless labeling or where did i tell you that i am a gunners? I have more respect for a coach that started from the scratch than the one who inherited a world class team. Arsenal will go through to the next round and all you will be put to shame.

Simply for his coaching capability, forget the scoreline and open your eyes, have you realized that even the barca fans have not come to declare here that they are happy with the pairing?

You must admit it.
You are just so fascinated about this team
This is what i have been waiting for, time to set the records straight this time around. I just hope van persie, rocisky , cesc, ashavin and nasri will be on form.  I watched that match over two legs and i took my hat off for wenger for good, there will be no one man show this time around ala messi.

Barcelona scaled through on luck and arsenal had some injured players so a rematch would be nice.

Sevilla are through, likewise Villareal. Atletico and Getafe are as good as through too.
Europa League is coming back to Spain
Getafe is out already, atletico cannot make it in my opinion . . sevilla and villareal scraped through on the last day of group matches.

So they are not there yet but if i want to choose then Villarreal should be the one to make spain proud and atletico if they can sail through.

Actually its a desktop grin
No wonder you are against the conducting of this exam online, please try and move along with the pacesetters and tell that your five year old cousin to keep quiet. grin

It's a very good indicator that it could be a failure, yes. Even my 5 year old niece could have told you that. Would it really hurt you to inject some realism into your thought processes sometimes?
Indicators are there for guidance and should not serve as a criteria for killing a project which my 3 year old niece would have easily pointed out to you. cool

You forget the third element: Time.
Internet penetration in Nigeria is still quite low. As i said before, If you had done your NYSC in any rural area, this point would not be so difficult for you to comprehend.
Unfortunately, for you unimaginative fellows, when you think of potential JAMB candidates you probably imagine some well coiffured kids in Ikoyi and ikeja. But hundreds of thousands of others are there in remote villages in Nigeria. There are secondary schools in places with minimal electricity, with very little internet exposure etc.
Even in 'urban' areas, fast and reliable internet connection can be a premium. Huge swathes of Nigeria is covered only by slow EDGE or GPRS cellular data and many others by the often unreliable CDMA/EVDO carriers.

In other words, it's a logistics nightmare to expect to execute something of this complexity at such short notice.
You are just throwing statistics here and there and highlighting problems which if you have reasoned properly then it will be obvious that the above initiative is catalyst to solve those problems. I beg of you for one thing because it seems most of you are just focused on the JAMB part without reading carefully to pick up details. Do you realize that they have not even given you the breakdown of the process and you are condemning them. I am sure you know better than JAMB and the ministry of education about the logistics in conducting the so called examination?. undecided

Once again brother, try to have a discussion without insult and just do one thing for me. Go back to the article, read carefully and pay attention to details with an open mind. Here are some words below to help you in seeing clearly.
