Initially, my thought was that it's extraordinary and irrational especially when it's a collateral. If you're talking about a bond agreement in which I know it as, then the employee has to pay a fine for breaking the agreement. In this case, it's common to involve an attorney.


The reason for the bond is usually due to the company who takes the responsibility in financing the employee's professional training. Other than that, why would a company seek collateral from some individual simply applying for a job? The agreement may require that such a candidate of the agreement would be required to work for, for example, 48 months for the company after receiving the training financed or provided by the company but they still earn salary. If at any point the candidate or employee breaches the agreement, they are usually required to pay a fine or hefty price or even a collateral like you said which I know to be uncommon. But like I said, it always involves a lawyer and it could be from both parties.

Vacancies exist with an SME in the food/logistics sector. The company is located at Yaba/Bariga, Lagos.

1. Logistics Manager.

The ideal candidate should between the ages 33- 40yrs.
He/She should possess a university degree or HND Diploma in logistics management, inventory management or business administration.
Minimum of 4 -5 years of previous work experience is compulsorily required.
He/She will be responsible for the total logistics and inventory management for the various stores as well as record keeping, fleet management per driver management and goods, vehicle tracking, weekly &monthly reporting, stock taking and taking charge of supplies and deliveries.
Salary is fair and within industry range.

2. Inventory Officer

The ideal candidate should have at least an OND in logistics or procurement management.
He should not be older than 35yrs of age.
A male is preferable for this role.
He will be responsible with the Logistics Manager and providing support in areas of inventory management, stock taking, assisting and monitoring of loading and offloading supplies. Other assigned jobs per role.
Precious experience of 2-3 years will be an added advantage.
Salary range is between
70,000 - 90,000.

Proximity to Yaba/Bariga is key. Candidates must live in around Yaba/Bariga/Ebute Metta for ease of commuting and close from work.

I was invited for interview for the job I recently applied.
From my location to the company was 800, same thing when coming back, making it 1600.
Which means I will spend 1600 daily excluding feeding.
Pay is 60k that after a month it will be increased to 70k

I will work from Monday to Saturday 8am to 6pm.

At end of the month transport will take 38400 from it excluding feeding.
