I got to their office at Ikoyi to start my gamble o, no router, no mifi. I went to surulere, same. their twitter handle just told me they are out of stock and don't know when they will restock.

Please do you know where I can get a compatible 4G router?

They actually confirmed there's no service in Yaba so what I'm getting is probab;y feeds from Surulere, Bariga and 3rd mainland bridge. I don't know if their modem can be connected to their antenna as I got full bars at the penthouse. An antenna will surely boost speed.

I'm just particular about ntel because I've followed them before inception and it is cheaper than swift which gives us 125gb for 25k and the charges are like double which is now draining faster than even the 60gb they used to offer for the same amount

I redeemed one of my booked sims today, using on lenovo A2010 and there's just one bar here, speedtest shows 2.72Mbps download and 0.26Mbps upload, slower than swift that I want to switch from, though I'm streaming without buffering, at least for now. I'm almost convinced to go for this, signal bar is 1, fluctuates higher to 3 at times.

Are you still using ntel?

The swift modem is a 4g LTE E5172Bs-925 modem but I've not been able to unlock it, it is easier unlocking same spectranet modem as the software allows sim unlocking but that of swift does not. That's why I've been trying to know if there's another way to unlock it as the modem is just there wasting. However there's another swift modem we are currently using b310s-927 I won't mind experimenting with that for some days as our swift data bundle with run out today or tomorrow.

And Ntel can be used for commercial purposes according to their staff that's why they have modems they sell for 36k

saint2ace:

Hello Pheesayor, it kinda difficult answering that question cos according to the terms and conditions of some of these providers, u're only supposed to use it for personal not commercial purposes.

That said the network in yaba is relatively okay, the speed during the first 3 months is supposed to be unlimited but some complain that it's throttled.

I'd suggest u unlock ur swift router that's presuing it's a regular router not the old wimax router, then pick up an Ntel sim and subscribe to the 1k plan and try it out for 2days b4 u make a substantial investment which may put ur job on the line.

For ur info, I used over 300gb during my first month and I paid just 10k, the ball is in ur court; all the best....

As for the router, you could get an unlocked one online or alternatively get a locked spectranet modem and take it to computer village to unlock for about 5k that's what I did, just search olx or jiji....

Just like saint2ace said, its better u try with the 1k for 2 days to know if it suits u. I would have asked u to buy those mifi modems but since they are limited to 10 connected devices then its out of it. Try and unlock ur swift router. Out of curiosity, what's the model of ur modem?

Hello guys,
I'm considering switching to ntel for the company I work. We've been on SWIFT for years but considering switching as swift's 120gb is not sufficient for us anymore and we keep exhausting before a month. I've tried unlocking the swift modems to try out ntel for some days but I've not been able to do so. Ntel is selling their modem for 36k which is too expensive for a test.
I want to know if I can get a cheaper modem that will run Ntel and if it works well in Yaba and will be okay for a company of 12 systems.
Thanks in anticipation

4llerbuntu, greenhulk saint2ace please I need your opinions as I need to decide before close of work today, thanks.

Udezer69 did you get your ntel? How has the performance been?

thank you very much

Doubledouble:

There is no set number of time for pooping. Check for the colour n consistency of poop. A normal ebfd baby's poop should be yellow and seeded watery( not diarrhoea watery), seeds are like egusi...a combo fed baby might have same but a lil thicker; a formula fed baby colour ranges from yellow to light brown with a paste-like consistency- peanut butter like.

If baby's poop physical appearance is ok n baby have good number of wets too, then all is well. Baby is said to be thriving. Some babies poop after every feed.

Hello Mums

My baby is 20 days today and there's complain that she's stooling too much. How much excreta is too much for a baby? She was on flagyl for 7 days after placed under a photolamp to treat jaundice. They say it might be the flagyl but we have stopped it for about a week now. How many times a day should a normal 20-day old baby pass stool?

Liftedhands , hotmum , temmy2103 , Onegai , mitchyy ,

thank you for your response. We went to Dr. Abimbola Awoliyi Memorial Hospital on Bamgbose street in Lagos, they have the phototherapy lamp and baby was clean after almost 48hrs.

What do you feel about giving the baby (less than 2 weeks old) multivitamin? A cousin of mine bought Abidec yesterday, I insisted baby won't take it until I confirm. Also what happens to the baby's navel and will she fee pains there? Doctors told us to keep cleaning with spirit like we were doing before it fell off but my MIL keeps massaging it with hot (at times warm) towel to my displeasure.
Now she's got "agbo" for what she calls "oka" but looking at the baby's head there's nothing of such, I'm just tired.
Baby got no issues as far as I see, she only cries when hungry and when she needs to belch.

Opinions please

If the hospital recommended phototherapy then it might not be a mild case of jaundice. Those methods majorly work for mild cases.

I had same issues but my baby's own was mild and my mum used one leaf to bathe him, and was always taking him under early morning sun. It cleared after some weeks.

Island maternity as recommended by Onegai is okay. Their services is affordable. You can check them out if you're in Lagos.

Just calm down and don't fret so you can think clearly. My husband was once in your shoes and he almost ran mad. I saw how stressed he was and it affected my bp. So try and be calm and locate affordable hospitals.

God will see your family through this phase.

Thanks for the advice, I'm trying to take things easy as the stress has not been easy.
I will check the mother and care center in Festac tomorrow. My mother in law is saying we use herbs but my baby feels weak so I'm going strictly medical for proper treatment. Thanks for your time

Many people swear by it! I haven't tried it and I even refused my niece taking it last week when she was diagnosed of jaundice. But my sisters mil claims that's what she used on her kids that had it and it worked. Me I am not endorsing it o! Just do whatever you can for your baby! God will perfect her healing as well as her mom and replenish you .

Amen to your prayers, I will go for phototherapy, thanks

What state are you? If in Lagos, can you go to Massey clinic or Island Maternity, Lagos Island? Have you tried the bigger GHs? Unripe pawpaw and sunlight only work for mild cases of Jaundice. Was your baby full term? Depending on some factors, it may be mild jaundice but what does the doctor say? If the doctors are saying baby needs phototherapy, it may be that the levels are rising. There are levels for different risk factors and different days of age (ie at 48 hours after birth etc).
I'm in Lagos, Yaba to be precise. She was delivered at Nigerian Army Reference Hospital in Yaba through CS after mother was induced at exactly 40 weeks, fetal stress was discovered at 3cm dilation so there was emergency cs, baby was even placed under observation for 12 hours and was given oxygen for that period because she appeared blue at birth.
Billirubrin level is 12.47,heard normal level is 10,test was done at 4 days.
Well, I'll check the Lagos state mother and child care hospital just opened in Festac for possible treatment because Festac is where I will be for two weeks or more.

I appreciate your response

Good day,

I have a four-day old daughter who might have this, will check when I get to the hospital later. Why I'm here is that doctors requested 4 tests and one shows presence of jaundice of up to 12.1 or so, the hospital's photolamps are all occupied so we were referred to another hospital. Everyone is saying we use unripe pawpaw soaked in water that it flushes out the jaundice, everyone around me I told even experienced mothers, I need advice please as going to another hospital will cost a fortune, I'm yet to settle their delivery bill as normal delivery caused fetal stress at 3cm dilation so she had to be operated.

I'm the father by the way, mother is still weak from CS

Thanks

If it is pulsating... it is normal.
If it appears sunken, it could be a sign of dehydration.
If it appears swollen, could be a sign of infection.

But since you say it normalizes after a few minutes it is probably fine.

If you are worried, go see a peadiatrician.

But make sure your baby is well hydrated.

My condolences, please take care of the living baby, God will surely send a replacement. Cheers

Dandy1:
Today Tuesday,September, 2016 started like every other day. At dawn about some few minutes past five O' clock, my wife which has been pregnant for 9 months 3weeks woke me up with a moan of pain.I opened my eyes to see her at the entrance to the bathroom. She had gone to pee when she suddenly felt the unbearable pain. I tried all I can to ease her pain, but it persisted. That's when it dawned on us that maybe she is starting to labour. I dashed to the baby room in which all things are already set for the most anticipated arrival, whisked up the box with the needed hospital stuffs, and we were on our way to the hospital within the minute.
We arrived there around some minutes to six, and till around 12:30 PM she was still labouring. I had gone to get various injections for drip two different time within those hours. It's been about seven hours or more, I was starting to worry. Just then I was called upon to come get another batch of supplies for the delivery. Such a strong woman! She has been quiet all along, unlike some other women that have been making awkward noises all around the wards. She had always promised to be strong through it.
The midwives were taking her calmness for loss of strength, they were urging her to cry out. They told me she had to push,that the baby is almost out. I moved closer to her ear and whispered;
"Baby, you are a strong woman please push hard enough. You know prolonged labour might hurt "Boo-Boo"(the pet name for our unborn twin babies) , please we have to take all three of you home alive. She got "gingered" and pushed hard and "Boo" came out. Such a beatiful baby girl! One more to go,that's when I was chased out to leave them to do their job. I went out to wait for the second "boo".
During one of those several scans during pregnancy, the scan attendant had once told us the twins were "sooo identical" according to the analysis. We got more eager to see them soon. I was outside feeling so happy after telling my sisters who were also waiting at d reception that boo is out. They were so happy. Shortly after, I was called upon to come into the ward. There I was shown the second baby. She looked so much like her twin sister, perperhaps as beautiful. Alas she was lifeless.
I cried bitterly inside while I tried to console my wife not to cry as she might hurt herself. But as soon as I got out of there i cried uncontrollably. They were going to be our first babies in our new marriage, though we've been together for about eleven years now( we dated for ten years since school days). We were so happy it will be twins. Her phone had been full of cute twin baby pictures. Whenever she saw any thread on here with twins with people wishing they had twins, she blushes that hers is on the way. Now it is all gone. But we still have our cute little "Boo" to keep.
I feel so down right now, I could use some consolatory comments. What a sweet bitter day!

Thanks for the clarification about the 2011 picture. However there are many schools that still have such deplorable buildings and the APC administration has done very little for education in their 17 years of complete and total rule of Lagos state.
It is not about hate. It is about deception and the need to ensure our leaders do the best with ouperfo money. Is that a bad thing

You can't tell me little has been done about education. My secondary school is not the same way it was when I left, there has been a new building, better lab and ICT equipments, teachers are better motivated increased and students performance is improved. In those days we bought our desks but today the govt provides then, etc
