Is it by force to watch DSTV? I don't blame Multichoice. How can a nation as big as Nigeria not have its own digital satellite TV service to compete with DSTV? All we do is ship our currency abroad to purchase, without producing our own here.

There's startimes/starsat, consat and some other Nigerian alternatives

In addition to what the other ladies have posted, apply Vaseline on your baby's bum/genetials/thighs after EVERY diaper change. Vaseline acts as a barrier and it's every effective in preventing nappy rash. In addition to this, stick to the same diaper brand. Since you've figured the brand that's best for her skin, stick to it and do not keep changing brands.

There's no need for multivitamins or vitamin C for a child below 6 months. Such drugs are only recommended after 6 months and it's optional. Once weaned, if baby is well fed a variety of meals(solids, breast milk, formula) there's really no need for multivitamin syrup as they are already fortified (especially formula) with all the essential vitamins and minerals a baby needs.

Regarding bottle feeding, you just have to keep trying till she adapts. This is one of the reasons working mums are advised to introduce bottle feeding early so that the baby's routine won't be affected too much once the mum is through with her maternity leave and resumes back at work.

She's sweating because she's hot. Wear light vest for her and there's no need to overdress her, wrap her in a shawl or wear her a woollen hat.

Hurayy!!!! my baby is 8 weeks today. Thanks for previous advices, she's growing bigger than we expected.

At about 2 weeks, my mother and MIL said a baby must be taking multivitamin so they smuggled in ABIDEC, well baby became a glutton and would suck breast till she throws up, eventually we discovered the reason and I insisted they stopped Abidec.

For diapers, we started with moflic, huggies (which we discovered to be fake) then little angel but somehow adventured into pampers and king, the result was a badly red and rashed skin, we've since returned to little angel which seems to be the best for her, waiting for the skin colour to normalise.
She eats sooo much that when she's sucking and falls asleep and breast is removed from her mouth, she wakes up and refuses to sleep until breast is returned mother has to sleep with breast in her mouth, is this advisable and hygienic?

We got breast pump so as not to make it difficult when mother starts working because we are going on 6 months exclusive for the sake of the baby, she has not been accepting the feeder o except once when she woke up and was very very hungry, we will try again later.

She's been having colds so we got giovin drops, got better, she's been on vitamin c for about three weeks though. She had cough so we got panda cold, also relieved.
Lastly, when she sleeps she tends to move her body as if in pains when sleeping. For colic we've been using nospamin which seems to be working.
She sweats a lot too, even more than we the parents at times

ntel is not capping even after three months, for now the unlimited is their edge so they are not planning to stop it

AjanleKoko:

It's a 3-month offer.
You buy a weekly, monthly, or 2-day data plan and use unlimited for 3 months. After which you get a quota for those plans, or you buy their real unlimited, which is around same price with Smile.

But right now I think people are firing on after 3 months. They also have some night plans (10pm-6am) which is sold at half the price of the 3-month unlimited plans. Those ones are perpetual. 2 nights of 6 hours per night is N500, 7 nights is 1500, and 30 nights is 5k.
So when you want to download you can fire those ones overnight and still chop better quota.

Business / Re: Naira Plunges At Interbank Market by pheesayor(m): 10:10am On Nov 08, 2016
this is different from what is obtained.

Yesterday at broad street in Lagos I wanted to change dollars I was told 458, I said 460 but they refused. This morning at Sabo I got a shocker, it had dropped to 440 and the aboki said it is bound to drop further as BDC operators suspected to be hoarding dollars have been arrested and taken to Abuja.

Truth234:
The Naira plunged on Monday at the interbank market to close at N350 to a US dollar, from N304.75 it traded last Tuesday. Bringing its total one-week lost against the US dollar to N45.25.

On the parallel market, the local currency dropped N5 from N465 recorded last week to close at N470 to the U.S dollar, while both the Pound Sterling and the Euro traded at N560 and N510 respectively.

At the Bureau De Change segment, the Naira was exchanged at N385 to a dollar, the CBN stipulated rate.

The surge in demand for the greenback had plunged the Naira against the US dollar as manufacturers are reportedly sourcing for dollars at the parallel market to meet the usual end of the year sales, stiffening the limited liquidity further.

Accordingly, the Central Bank of Nigeria's acting Director, Corporate Communications, Mr. Isaac Okorafor, in a statement on Monday said the apex bank has apportioned over $660 million to the manufacturing industries at the interbank market, this he said will ease foreign exchange pressure on the manufacturing and agricultural sectors through forward sales under the new flexible Forex regime.

He further stated that “The CBN is committed to ensuring that manufacturers of goods for which Nigeria does not enjoy comparative advantage are able to get letters of credit (LCs) to import the required materials for their businesses.”

Okorafor urged manufacturers to take advantage of the initiative to push Nigeria to the forefront of exporting nations through backward integration.

Traders are optimistic that the Naira would improve as diaspora remittances was expected to bolster market liquidity at the yuletide season.

you're right, I don't know NTEL's motive in this market that even voice is not possible. I told them on twitter they are an elitist network, unfortunately they will lose out if the continue like this then we complain NITEL is dead again.
And 90GB after unlimited three months, is that what they told you? Because they told unlimited continues even after three months

OBAGADAFFI , 4llerbuntu please confirm
Dam5reey:

That's not an edge ooo.... Its only for the first 3 month you get unlimited.... Then its will 90 GB thereafter....

MTN and the rest are just waiting to complete the project... The they slash data plan again... To match the 10k for 90GB....

Imagine MTN slash the modem price to 10K....... They have over 50M subscriber already....

I checked smile you get unlimited speed from 3k.... Thats not cool... 1k , 2k will give only 2Mbps... That was how spectranet started too you called 2 Mbps LTE ?? grin

They will loose out yet again.. only calls... You need VoLTE to make calls... See no time... GlO, MTN and Etisalat owns this Market....

You know what happened to Visafone.... Lol

OBAGADAFFI:

Lol,

You don't need to do *#*#info#*#* to enjoy ETISALAT LTE.

You even need to change you son card.

That why I said NTEL might Lose the LTE battle.

Unlimited subscription will be their only edge, the day others start unlimited that is not too expensive will be the day NTEL dies
Phones / Re: Subscriber Options for UNLIMITED Internet - WORTH IT? by pheesayor(m): 1:25pm On Oct 21, 2016
ok I get you. I had to buy a lenovo A2010 just to use NTEL when my note 2 LTE refused to work. True they need to expand else others will render them irrelevant as their edge which is LTE is now becoming rampant
OBAGADAFFI:

NTEL needs to work on their Coverage and device compatibility issues.

Most device NTEL claimed are not compatible with their Network due to BANDs, are currently working on other Network with similar Band with Ntel.

ETISALAT currently use the same Band 3 with NTEL.

Ntel 4G LTE supports bands: 3(1800MHZ) and 8(900MHZ)

Etisalat support band 3(1800MHz)
Phones / Re: Subscriber Options for UNLIMITED Internet - WORTH IT? by pheesayor(m): 10:34am On Oct 21, 2016
OBAGADAFFI:

NTEL issue is more than Band.

I have to wait for months before my IPad could work in NTEL.

Ntel 4G LTE supports bands: 3(1800MHZ) and 8(900MHZ)

Etisalat support band 3(1800MHz)

what do you mean by the bolded?
Business / Re: Exchange Rate As Of Today by pheesayor(m): 10:20am On Oct 21, 2016

lucky you, your band is compatible with it, my note 2 LTE is only compatible with mtn from my checks. And ntel is fast where they have full coverage, they just need to expand services, so many NITEL base stations are just wasting away
And your etisalat unfortunately is not unlimited

OBAGADAFFI:
When i said NTEL is not ready for the market some folks are arguing with me.

I have not been able to use my NTEL sim due to poor coverage and compatibility issue.

Now Etisalat, GLO and MTN is here.

Below is Etisalat LTE on the same HTC M8 not working on NTEL.
