Learning would have been fun if not for the handling by most of the instructors in the education sector. I will confess that I view the system of education in this part of the world as grosteque.

It is a known fact that human beings have varying degrees of IQ and diversified intelligence. The difference between these two attributes places INTELLIGENCE as the ability to think, reason and understand things instead of acting instinctively and IQ as a measurement of intelligence in an individual.
These varying degrees of IQ make assimilation impossible at the same rate. A child with an IQ of 140 and thereby classified as a genius will assimilate faster than his/her peer with an IQ of 100 which is classified as average. It is not that the latter is not intelligent, it is just that he is unable to process the data fed into him fast enough to bring forth the required information as fast as expected when compared to his genius peer. Alas, they would be subjected to the same test! So, why will there no be failure when what was being taught was not totally understood by everyone? Failure of this sort bring about castigation from of the examiner and stigmatization from the peers which eventually convince the affected child that he/she is worthless thereby dashing his/her hope of becoming something great!
Who is to blame for this?

Disorders such as autism and asperger’s syndrome also contribute to learners displaying signs of inability to catch up at early stage despite that they can be extremely intelligent as it was seen in the case of Albert Einstein, Isaac Newton to mention a few. Albert Einstein was reported to start talking when he turned four while Isaac Newton was called a dullard by his peers and others alike when he was young. But today, you can never talk about science without mentioning those duo. Under the dull look lied the brilliant mind! There are many like Newton and Einstein in our present world but who are condemned and thereby not able to live up to their potentials. Who is to blame for this too?

In this part of the world, poverty seems to be lurking around. Schools are not affordable and if a student is able to go through thick and thin to get educated despite his/her state of impoverishment, unemployment waits in the corner. How is that a motivation? The thought of “Why go through all these without an iota of gain at the end” will keep ringing. Who is to blame as well in this scenario?

No one is worthless! The system just needs to be tweaked in a way to cater for the different challenges as it was said by Einstein that “Everybody is a genius. But if you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, it will live its whole life believing that it is stupid”.

Dull look does not depict dull mind and disability has never been an inability. All that needs to be done lies with the system.

There are more sharp minds in the world than we think! Explore!!
