What manner of useless opposition is this? How many people asked any such stupid question about the drunken fisherman's relations wheni he ran Nigeria like a village council enterprise?

Once there isnt enough bad news for them to celebrate, they simply create some useless thread to continue wailing on.

You are not getting the point. It is not about if NYSC is meaningless or meaningful.
For now, it is law that after university you should do NYSC except in certain conditions which these kids do not qualify..
If change is to begin with us and if NYSC won't be scrapped.. everyone should taste the service year.

The first question you should ask yourself is Does she school in Nigeria? Is it compulsory for anyone study abroad to study in Nigeria? then come back to argue

So they are OK to shun NYSC.
This is mental slavery. So it is OK for the children of the poor to render service to the nation while those children of the President are exempted.
This is indeed pathetic reasoning. So long as they are below 30years of age it is mandatory for them to serve the nation

Then go and k.ill yourself if they refuse to serve, who sent you to serve self? How meaningful is that your useless service to the nation?

Politics / Busted: Why Mimiko Promised To Pay 7months Salaries If Jegede Wins by phemmyutd(m): 8:31am On Nov 28, 2016
No wonder Governor Mimiko said he would pay all the outstanding salaries by Monday if Jegede was voted for:
Goodnews! Federal Government Credits OSG Bank Account With N82 Billion -CBN
**********
The thirty-six states of the Federation collectively received over $4bn being the over-deductions on Paris and London Club Loans on the accounts of State and Local Governments from February 1990 to March 2002. Nasarawa State received over N68bn, CBN confirmed.

Details from both the CBN and Federal Ministry of Finance headquarters showed neighboring States, Kogi received about N80bn, Plateau and Benue got N75bn and N91bn respectively. Meanwhile, the states of Osun and Edo got N84bn and N82bn respectively.

The monies were credited into the respective accounts of all the 36 states of Federation on Monday 21st November, 2016.

While that of Plateau State was paid into a UBA account (1019894291), that of Nasarawa State as confirmed from Govt. House was paid into Fidelity and Skye Banks for State Govt. (N46bn) and Local Govts. (N22bn) respectively.

Regrettably, all the 36 states governors don't want the general public especially civil society organizations (CSOs) to know about these monies, hence the secrecy of the payment.

However, approving the disbursement of this sum of over $4b to all the 36 states in naira, President Muhammadu Buhari directed the States Governors to use the monies to settle the civil servants salaries and welfares.

We hope with this money, Gov. Aregbesola will pay civil servants their salaries in full both at the state and LGAs levels to ameliorate the suffering of our people as directed by the federal government.

We are calling on EFCC and ICPC to monitor the spending of these huge $4b disbursed to the 36 states governors especially that of Kwara State.

Politics / Re: #ondo Poll - What Governor Mimiko Should Have Done. by phemmyutd(m): 11:25pm On Nov 27, 2016
kinibigdeal:
My congratulatory message to the Governor - Elect and APC is rather a strong abhorrence to the fact that democracy is under threat. Election fraud is not only through ballot paper stuffing, changing of election results alone but through the process that led to the election proper. Ondo state and Edo state election is an acid test to the integrity of the party in power, i will however leave Nigerians to decide, if the results of the test was a successful one or a failed specimen.

However, i expected a serpent like decision from Olusegun Mimiko during the APC inflicted legal tussle between Eyitayo Jegede and the shananigian Jimoh Ibrahim. Mimiko should have done the following

1. Forget the past political supremacy intertwine between himself and Olusola Oke of AD by giving him a tactical support or forming a temporary allegiance. Infact, that would have given Olusola Oke the Central, west and south easily. When you add AD 126,889 votes plus that of PDP's 150,380 votes, you've got a total of 277,269 votes (32,427 greater votes to Akeredolu's compilation of 244,842)

2. After the appeal court and the supreme court gave their verdict's on who the rightful candidate was, bearing it in mind the duration left, i expected Governor Mimiko to back out from the election and resolve to legal battle bearing it in mind that

a. Party agents cannot be assembled within 48hrs
b. INEC is supposed to grant atleast 7days grace to submit names of party agents
c. The time left for campaign was just a day
d. INEC was already compromised by substituting Jegede's name with that of Jimoh Ibrahim after monitoring the process that led to Jegede's emergence
e. As at the day to the election, Jegede's party agents are yet to be accredited.
d. Election was supposed to be postponed based on the aforementioned

3. Organize a press conference within 24hrs, involving international, local and AU observers highlighting key issues relating to the election and stating the obvious reasons why he as no choice than to the back out from the election

4. And when he knows he will still participate in the election, he could have reach out through is media team on local radio and TV stations within the state to campaign within 24hours. Adaba Fm would have done better by reaching out to the nooks of the state.

I will conclude by saying, Mimiko might have lost the battle gallantly but the consequences of Chirocracy is beyond Ondo state. We should be careful of how we rear an adder because when it grow up, it might be the one to hurt the entire family. God bless Ondo state, God bless Nigeria

He wouldn't have done that because He is more expose and experience than you.
You think the way you type all these is how things are done?
He fully known that their problem is internal and there is nothing any outsider can do to it.

When APC were formed, and it required 90 days before they can participate in any election, All PDP control states quickly conducted LG election unopposed and nothing happened. That's why all you childish plans your put up there can't work

Kayode Fayemi has not spent 100
hours outside Ondo State since
October 25.
He relocated to Ondo State with
Egghead Odewale, Yemi
Adaramodu, Mojeed Jamiu,
Hakeem Jamiu, Deji Adesokan
(Jarule) and Kayode Oyebanji.
They have been shuttling between
Emperor Hotel, Royal Parklin Hotel
and and Sun View Hotels, Akure.
Strategy 1.
Collation will be stopped at exactly
9pm on Saturday till 10am on
Sunday. Already collated Results
will be changed midnight.
N250million has been released to
INEC by Fayemi and Plateau State
Governor, Simin Lalong.
The money was handed over to
FUOYE VC, Prof. Soremekun (INEC
RETURNING OFFICER) few minutes
ago at a hotel along Oba-Ile road,
Akure.
Strategy 2.
APC will share their money to
voters midnight. They will
commence the sharing by 1am till
6am.
They anticipated that AD and PDP
will not share money until 7am.
Security men have been mobilized
to keep tab on AD and PDP leaders
any where they plan to share
money. Money will be seized while
leaders sharing money will be
arrested and detained till after the
election.
Strategy 3.
The following AD and PDP leaders
and supporters have been
earmarked for arrest so that APC
leaders will have a free chance to
rig and do anyhow on the poll day.
1. Senator Ajayi Borofice.
2. Commissioner Femi Adekanmbi.
3. Barrister Tolu Babaleye
4. Hon. Expensive from Akure
5. Mr Bola Ilori from Ondo town.
6. Hon. Akinbo of House of Reps
from Ilaje/Ese-Odo
7. And several other AD and PDP
leaders.
With what is on ground, Akeredolu
of APC may not win more than 3
local government areas tomorrow
so Fayemi, Elrufai, Lalong,
Tambuwal, Ngige, Amosun, Isiaka
Adeleke, Okorocha and Yahaya
Bello who are all presently in Akure
want to rig for Akeredolu so that he
(Buhari) can annex Yoruba land.
Over N5bn has been is flying

Politics / Re: What I Observed From The Ondo's Saturday Election by phemmyutd(m): 9:57am On Nov 27, 2016
Eastactivist:
Everybody following this ondo election will accept the fact that ondo election was not just mere election but a kinda study or political research where guests and political analyst are anxious to satisfy their curiosity about where the yorubas stand in today's politics.
Sorry if i would generalize but with my assurance i belive i now have that reservation to do so having got some answers that have longed remain uncertain, which one of them is that ondo is the heart of Yorubas(sw). Though I stand to be corrected wink
So I will go ahead to list what I have observed, other political analysts are also privileged to work on my observations as it suits them.

1) Tinubu is overhyped.
We've heard so many praises accorded to tinubu that one might mistake him to be a kind of political god or deity.

We hear words like:
Buhari should not play with tinubu else..., tinubu is a master planner, tinubu can sort his way out, tinubu is a powerful institution, tinubu is this and tinubu is that. Too much hype no hypo grin

Well, this ondo election has shamefully reduced tinubu to what he is, which is a mere rag that can be used and when he has outlived his usefulness can be done away with. This elelection has really proved this. Any objection is Still welcomed is just my humble observation cheesy

2) Sw and tinubu didn't vote out Gej or put buhari in office.

I want to ask my yoruba brothers this question, if tinubu was the one that put the president in office (2015) why then can't he put a common Governor in his region in office?
What happened?
Why? Even with your sophistication, the abuja cabal still have their way and stole your precious ondo the acclaimed centre for Yoruba unifaction?

this should send an early wake up call so you can wake up from this your day dreams you've been induced with.

Fact remains That a president is removed in office is really not BC of might of a certain ethnic group as earlier speculated but the might of the people , that's why I laugh when some gullible Yorubas felt they have the some right to decide who stays in government or leaves. Ondo election is just a desert expect more meals.

Meanwhile, Oke sorry for your loss cheesy is just happens that Yorubas can't go against their immediate masters choicegrin

3) Sw statesmen are the more you look the less you see:
Where will I begin with this? At times I will be like who are the Yoruba's elder statesmen and I look and see gullible men and i wonder do Yoruba's really have elder statesmen. Quite abhoring...
Yoruba's who are your elderstatemen that there consensus are adhered to?
Cos right now, I see none
They are nowhere to be found.
Tinubu has been cut to size as no one will take him serious anymore as his political influence has expired... He should just retire from politics BC right now he is just like a mad man in the street with no political influence grin
Well, Yorubas are in for a shocker in 2019 BC they are just inconsequential right now. If oyegun and aso rock cabal can mess with Yoruba politics and get away with it has really exposed so much about them.
Why then should we care about who Yorubas will sire in 2019 when their decision has no influence even on themselves? grin

4) Political loss
Yorubas really lost in this, not just the PDP. Buhari won ****

5) Ffk, fayose, mimiko are toothless PDP bull dogs.
All the dogs and baboons will this and that statement are just yabbish... Ffk too much talk no action.
Mimiko a PDP is too stupid that he has to use paying log of pension to safe face. grin PDP should be ashamed of this foolery cheesy
Infact PDP needs a total overhaul on this toothless dogs.
Fayose is not left out, too much complain no action.
They are also too selfish to the extent they knew they are at loss yet couldnt challenge the injustice melted on them to court for the election to be postponed. PDP really has no representative in SW they are just liabilities.

As it stands APC has no influential entity in sw and so is PDP. Too bad that aso rock gonna decide for them just like Edo over and over againcheesy

6) Lastly, you can add yours for me abeg, I no fit shout. I drop my pen Lmao grin

Sorry for any grammatical blunders abeg, was written as my spirit led cheesy

You have no point to prove here but just to attack Yorubas. let me ask you these simple questions

1. Did Akeredolu came from the North ?
2. Are the Electorate not from the south west?
3. Why are u making noise as if a northerner was imposed on Ondo people to be voted for?

What happened in APC is what we true democracy and NOT imposition
Politics / Re: Ondo Election: Official INEC Result Updates In 17 Local Governments - Vanguard by phemmyutd(m): 9:32am On Nov 27, 2016
Martins301:

Let me try and explain to you why there's recession. First, here are certain facts you need to know.

1. Nigeria is an import dependent country. We import anything importable because we most times don't have the capacity or capability to produce them. To import goods or purchase anything from other countries we need DOLLARS. This problem started since 1986 and has been getting worse.

2. Nigeria is a mono product economy. In other words, we depend on export of one main product to get DOLLARS. That product is crude oil. Over 70% of Government revenue comes from sale of crude oil. Without revenue from crude oil, the government has no choice but to borrow to fund it's budget.

With those two points in mind, here's why we are in recession.

Oil price crashed in 2015 from over $100 per barrel to less than $40 per barrel.

This crash was because there was supply glut of crude oil globally. Countries were producing too much crude oil and others started using alternate source of energy.

With the fall in crude oil price, the amount of DOLLARS Nigeria could get from sale of crude oil also crashed.

This problem was further compounded by the activities of some disgruntled sponsored group who started blowing up our crude oil export pipelines and facilities in the hope of crashing the economy.

So Nigeria was not getting enough revenue from crude oil sales because the price crashed and the little we were supposed to even get was further cut off by those blowing up oil facilities.

Remember that it is the DOLLARS we get from crude oil sales that we also use to IMPORT all the junks we need from other countries. This DOLLARS is held by CBN and CBN gives it to commercial banks to sell to ordinary Nigerians to import what they want or pay for services abroad.

The crash in government revenue (DOLLARS) meant that government could no longer support the importing needs of Nigerians. Also, there were lots of loopholes in our land borders through which corrupt public officials were enriching themselves and putting the health of Nigerians at risk. Most of the revenue they raised never got to government. Furthermore, there was need to encourage LOCAL production of the things we were OFTEN IMPORTING. With all these, the government decided to restrict the importation of some goods THROUGH LAND BORDERS.

Please note that the primary reason for the above is because of the CRASH in government revenue or Dollars.

Even with the scarcity of dollar, our desire for foreign goods has not abaited. Since the dollar is scarce, the price relative to Naira will rise. People who still manage to get the dollars at the high price and use it to import goods into the country will have to push the cost to the consumers. That is why you see that prices of goods have jumped to the roof.

The situation has been made worse by greedy Nigerian sellers who want to profit and make quick money from others. They have all joined unions were they agree to inflate prices of goods and services. With a simple call, they all agree and fix price at a certain amount. The result is us being forced to buy them at the artificial high price.

In addition, just before the previous government handed over power to the current one, a lot of politicians stole as much as they could from government purse. They didn't steal it in Naira. They stole it in DOLLARS. Some of them were able to move their loots abroad, some his the loots in their homes and some left it in Nigerian banks. Without this money with government or in circulation, the DOLLAR SCARCITY HAS BEEN MADE WORSE and so has its attendant consequences.

So some of the above is why we are in recession. The problems in this country is much and will not contain 100 books if we want to write about it. But I'm sure you will understand the whole picture if you read this epistle again and again.

If you have any questions, I'll be happy to answer them.

Thanks.

Bros, you have really wasted your precious time to put up this wonderful analysis for the wailers.

Trust they will still never understand you, because they have been programmed to wail
