Please house, is there any such thing as FIXED MATCHES? I have spent close to 20k paying someone for fixed match, and I've been losing for over a week. He now said that I should pay for correct score, that its safer.

I used to think PR was cheaper than schooling o,Aussie no be beans at all!

Yes. This is the sad truth. We have to pay over 1000k for assessment and another $8100 for visa application. It's not funny but it's the fact.
Remember you need to set aside cash for passports and medical for each family member, ur English test and Flight tickets. Trust me we've taken it as a real time project but it's worth it afterall. God help us.

@bellong
I just want to understand this properly.
After choosing my occupation on SOL or CSOL,and paying to be assessed (in my case $445),I still have to pay thousand of dollars for visa again? (Family of 6) please I want to have an idea of the stages I will need to pay for anything. Thanks

Aside from prior travel history which is just a factor that doesn't give a final outcome to visa rejection, you as an applicant already made this rejection an easy cake for the CO.

A simple question(s) often asked:
>>Why are you going to the States?
>>Where do you intend to visit in the States?

This is your chance to make a first impression. But often time, applicants still give vague replies. As the situation is in your case.

Your purpose for travel is not clear. Even the fact that you have family member(s) in the U.S. is the more reason you must be clear with a desire for travel.

Give it some time and apply in future.
Thank you so much for this. I honestly believe your above statement, cos I was expecting more questions (specific questions) I didn't want to be too forward. This has caused me my visa this month.

Yeah, another angle to it, that is why we always advise to ensure one's profile is updated before scheduling/rescheduling an appointment. If you are not conversant with a site, wisdom tells you to watch your every step therein. Do it yourself, follow instructions strictly!

N.B// Is this supposed to affect first timers too if they adhere to instructions? I don't think so.
This won't affect first timers.

OmoBendel24:
Was just wondering why this case of DS160 barcode not tallying with applicant's appointment confirmation is becoming too rampant. Is it that we dont read instructions at all or we are just testing ourselves by underrating the US Embassy (I mean the US Embassy oh)? Okay, Na agents handwork, that is my explanation because if we do am ourself we go definitely dey meticulous pass all these "had I known" complains.
Also, @LadyGuinivere, I will suggest, please kindly go and add something to your first post on this thread, make it your opening and closing comment on the post, tell our people with all EMPHASIS that they will not be encouraged to, talk less of being guided on how to lie as regards their applications and handling of interviews. PLEASE! Let's have a place to refer them to henceforth.... Thanks, and good morning all!
@omobendel @LadyGuinivere
To the best of my knowledge,I think I know where the problem of this barcode lies. When I was scheduling my appointment, I almost clicked the last button,I now remembered the complaints of nairalanders about the barcode, when I checked,lo and behold,I had another code entirely. This different code was the code I used last year when i wanted to attend a friend's wedding who sent his IV late.
So I edited the barcode sha.
Lesson - pls always check every detail before clicking next or finish or send as the case may be.
Love you all.

Babafemi Ogundipe was very weak. His own soldiers disrespect him. He was not part of the counter-coup, but he did nothing to stop it.

I take an exception to that statement. Not participating in the counter coup doesn't qualify him as being weak. Instead,he called for the most senior northern officer to speak to his men, because death was imminent for non northern officers....pls don't defame my grandpa

Did you include your IJMB result and transcript? Since your Bachelor couldn't secure you a MSc admission, you can't even get positive assessment with assessing body either. Your best bet is to go for Post-graduate Certificate/Diploma which you would be able to transfer to your Master.

I hope it helps.
I included my IJMB result. I will just apply for the post graduate diploma at ECU.thank you for your timely response.
TravelRe: General Australian student Visa Enquiries Part 2 by Phemorinho(m): 9:59pm On Mar 28, 2016
@NNB2012. @bellong please i am in a dilemma. I applied to Edith Cowan University to study Master of Professional Accounting, and also at Flinders University. After a week, i got a mail from ECU that i do not meet the admission requirement for Masters, that my bachelors degree was assessed and its equivalent to Australian diploma (probable cause is,my bachelors is three years, simply because i gained admission into my university with IJMB Alevels)
My questions are:
What do i do
Do i just go for PR instead?
My profile:
Age will be 29 by next month
I studied Accounting.
I work with the Federal Govt,so my 6years job experience is not in accounting.
I am married with 3kids.

since your BSC certificate is 3years that's is not Australian bachelor degree
just apply to university of Newcastle you be sure you get admission include a referee letter detailing your working experience and your schedule of duty in the letter witting by your manager or COE.just be ready to pass through an agent cos they must refer you to an agent here in Nigeria.you can still try other schools with referee letter and other document.good luck
my working experience is not in my field. I'm a public servant,i work with the para military to be precise,so my 6 years experience is not in accounting, its on about 8different things.

hello house,
I applied to Edith Cowan with my BSC last week,I just received a mail saying I do not meet the requirements as my bachelors degree is assessed as Australian diploma (probable cause is, I did IJMB Alevel so my BSC is three years).
The question now is, WHAT DO I DO?
TravelRe: General Australian student Visa Enquiries Part 2 by Phemorinho(m): 12:38am On Mar 20, 2016

Yes it can but its mandatory you write it. U will need an English test in the future when you want to apply for student/part-time/casual jobs (in some cases) then most importantly if you want to extend your stay in Australia after your student visa has expired. You will need it for your post study visas or permanent residency visas
Well said bro. I will make sure I write the exam before leaving, because of getting the jobs. I'm just being meticulous jare, I'm channeling all funds to getting the visa first.I really appreciate your advice.
TravelRe: General Australian student Visa Enquiries Part 2 by Phemorinho(m): 12:23am On Mar 20, 2016
jorgan:
No, it won't affect your chances of getting an offer neither will it affect your Visa. Furthermore, from my experience, Edith Cowan will give you an offer to study without requiring an English test from you... same goes for some other Australian Universities.
thank you so much for your prompt response. but can ENGLISH test be skipped at all *covers face*
TravelRe: General Australian student Visa Enquiries Part 2 by Phemorinho(m): 12:00am On Mar 20, 2016
Hi all,
I just applied to Flinders and Edith Cowan without any ENGLISH test scores, I only got a letter of attestation of ENGLISH language proficiency from my school. I want to know if writing PTE later won't affect my chances of getting a visa. I hope they won't say,my ENGLISH test scores came after my offer.thanks.
