It’s very unfortunate to read comments here about people intentionally planning or already abusing the visit visa system.

At the end of the day, Nigerians are truly the problem before the government. The same Nigerians complaining about long interrogations at Toronto airport because of frequent cases of the visit vsia abuse, are the same Nigerians still planing to do the same.

Tomorrow when Canada bans Nigerians like the UAE did or make the application stricter, you same abusers will blame it on the government.

If you are guilty of this and reading this, a big shame on you! And I truly hope that nemesis catches up with you. There’s no excuse for illegality. Nothing stops you from going through the EE route or even student visa route. Infact, having the visit visa alone makes the study visa easier to get. But no, you want to feel smart and cheat the system and make things harder for future applicants.

See, You will never gain anything fruitful as you abuse the privilege. You will suffer from day 1 and eventually leave there out of frustration. I hope that majority of you are eventually deported in shame. You will all labour in vain.

Canada currently permits people with visitor's visa to apply for work permit which means that going to Canada on a visitor's visa with the intention to get work permit and start working is possible and acceptable by Canadian government. Therefore, it is not a bad idea or against Canada public policy for a visitor to have the intention to work in Canada while on a visit visa because Canadian government has confirmed a public policy which empowers visitors to convert to work permit if they wish

As educated as you claimed that link you provided did not state anywhere that visitors can work in Canada rather it states that visitors are allowed to apply for certain work permits that will enable them to work in Canada. Do you understand the difference?

Those who have gotten their visa can you share how long you waited before you get the visa. This 3 months of a thing is annoying. I have about 12m for single application visit visa application. I’m yet to know my chances of getting this visa.

i beg to differ @justwise . it is in the Canadian website that a person with a visitors visa is able to apply for a work person through an approved LMIA company giving them a job offer.

if you are a visitor and you have the skills the company needs , you are free to apply for the job. Leave the rest to the company to determine if youre worth it ,

Canada that dropped that update knew that people would apply for such jobs under such circumstances . If not they would have stopped it .

NOTE : people are going there to turn their LEGAL visitors visa to a LEGAL work permit . No one is going there to over stay their visa (6 months ) .And if they cant turn their LEGAL visitors visa to a LEGAL work permit, they have a return ticket back home .

I submitted cac documents and a house document
For assets
I do business and also my husband but only my cac document was submitted

4.5m is even small for one person let alone family of 4
Again, you didn't indicate that ur husband has something doing which definitely will make the VO to have concern that una visit was not going to be consistent. Meaning the VO has great concern that u guys might not return after the expiration of una visit

Hello everyone. Please I'm filling the form to renew my visit visa and my biometrics will expire in 4 years' time. I have the option to use that same biometrics and get a visa that will expire same date (4 years' time) or to re-do my biometrics and get a longer validity visa (which is my preference).
Has anyone here chosen to re-do biometrics before expiry? How long did they take to upload the biometrics? How long after submission of your application/submission of biometrics did you get the visa? I'm just trying to evaluate if choosing to re-do the biometrics before it expires is worth it (to get a longer validity visa).

Renewing the biometrics will only make sense if ur passport is 10years. But if the passport is not 10yrs, then no need to renew the biometrics and start going through the process of queuing at VFS office waiting plus the fact that u have a biometric date that is not immediately. So if u don't have 10yrs passport, then it is better u safe ur time and strength and use the old biometrics.

Ur purpose of visit was not consistent means that the visa officer reviewing ur application has concerns about ur intentions to return to home country after ur visit and this was as a result of not having enough fund and strong ties at home as the stated. Strong ties like a fantastically paid job and families back home.
But it's well
U need to work on ur fund and also have a good paid job or business then others
