Can someone travel to Canada for a visitor visa(conference) if the conference had ended due to delay in visa approval??

Or does any1 has similar case n successfully travelled to Canada

I applied for two friends last year may to attend a convention in july 2022 but their visas were approved in April 2023 which was more than one year after the convention date but they are currently in Canada since may 2023. So it doesn't affect the approval of ur visa if the date of the conference expires as a result of the wait for them to approve or take a decision on ur application.

Please my good people, can one fill and upload documents with phone in the new portal?
Please I'm asking for a friend and it's urgent

I don't want to make mistake cos this is my second application as my first one was denied with the reason that I didn't say truthfully about my previously refused visa application.

- I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay as per paragraph 179. I am refusing your application because you have not established hat you will leave Canada, based on the following factors:

-Your assets and proof of funds are insufficient to support the stated purpose of travel for yourself ( an any accompanying family member(s) if applicable

-The purpose of your visit to Canada is not consistent with a temporary stary given the details you have provided your application

Can anyone advise on what would have resulted to these decisions.

General Info
I requested for 2 weeks vacation to visit family
Had bank statement of $8k CAD ,stated I will travel with 5k CAD for the 2 weeks, as every other cost will be covered by sibling( accomodation feeding etc during my visit.
My sibling in Canada who is a temporary resident invited me
I am not yet married
I work in a financial institution
provided reference letter from my organisation stating I work with them
Submitted SOP , stating I will return to continue my job which I love,Also stated I will be back to be with my retired parents

Can anyone advise on what would have resulted to these decisions.

You don’t need to book anything until your visa is approved. Just work on home ties, pof n good sop.

So how will he proof to them that he has a place to stay if he doesn't make hotel reservation?

You can only book for hotel reservation with Free cancellation and No prepayment needed on booking.com

Mind you will need dollar card to book for the hotel reservation

Dollar card is not necessary to make hotel reservation
I did mine with my naira master card

2) I have been trying to login my application with my phone but it will keep telling me wrong password or email even after adding the "you@yourhost.com" to my email? My uncle who login with laptop with same details didn't encounter this difficulty that I'm having.

Ok thanks but they refused me on the reason that I didn't say truthfully about the history of my previous visa refusals which I indicated. So I wrote for them to reconsider it. Does it mean nothing can be done again?

Please what does it mean when you use application status tracker to check ur application and u see CLOSED ?

It’s either the VO made mistake which is rare in cases like this or the person that filled your application made that error. Sorry about this, just submit another application, it will end in praise.

Modified: Since you already received a ghost update, it’s an indication your application is bn worked on. So stay positive.
